If the firmware and your phone don't have the same cust version (the number after C in your model number) then the firmware won't install... You'll have to have the firmware for your device... And if the cust version is same then sim card detection won't be an issue

I think yes, but it would try to overwrite the system firmware and bootloader (which is risky). Many other moto e users tried to do the same thing, they tried to downgrade from kitkat 4.4.4 to 4.4.2 just by trying to restore the nandroid backup they previously took. This hard-bricked their devices because they tried to overwrite new firmware files with old software OS and old bootloader version. I don't know if this can happen with honor devices, but be very careful, because a device in a hardbricked state is as rude as a bald guy trying to grow out hairs (that was a bore joke wasn't it? ), LOL! Jokes apart, but be careful and don't mess up your device.

The option is gone in the Marshmallow firmware, so go on you don't need to activate it to unlock, just proceed as the tutorials say.

Sorry for bothering once again

Welcome brother, we are here to help each other.
As I recall you told someone to roll back to lollipop to activate the "OEM unlock" in developer settings then get back to Marshmallow and try unlocking, is this the solution here, or do you have something else on your mind ?

you must be on marshmallow, what you have to do is,
flash a rollback package
roll back to lollipop
go to settings >developer options > check enable oem unlock
then update to marshmallow again,
now, boot to bootloader and carryon the unlocking process
you should be good
ps: i would highly recommend the traditional way to unlock bootloader, not any other unlockers

Let's get the story started
Today I plugged my phone to my computer and PC companion said: update available. I tried to update in PCC, but it failed at the end.
So, I used SEUS. Same story: update available, flashmode, and it works.
update 23:33
Raw files from SEUS:
154,42 MB http://www.mediafire.com/?4h0t9g4a1gh9g9z
15,04 MB http://www.mediafire.com/?z8ih2k5x92fr7aa
taken from this path:
i.imgur.com/KlRv2.png
Now available as .ftf file, ready to flash, thanks to thomasafca for that.
I didn't think of anything special. But I just saw the 3D camera application, and I thought hmmm... 2.3.4, 3D photo's? Let's check out the about phone menu... surprise:

They said the update would be in october, I guess a mistake was made by SE
Info: Xperia Neo, unbranded, global(?) was on latest official firmware, non-rooted, bootloader relocked (twice :$) and I live in The Netherlands (system language is Dutch
As I said: non-rooted, so only pics, no screenshots (EDIT: LOL wtf, I'm being dumb, screenshot is built in in this update), Android SDK won't work.
Some more pictures
New screen on/off animations in attachment
unfortunately I have a HDMI cable nor a 3D-tv to test the photo's
you said no ss only pics cause i'ts unrooted, with this update, did SE not include screenshots on the power off menu?

thanks I've just update mine.
can you flash this to the arc?
So I suppose that the root will not be taken with this update?
Can anyone post a System Dump only please.
Can anyone confirm if the nasty AAC file bugs of Android V2.3.3 were fixed?
Basically songs with different artists would appear in separate listings of the same album for some reason.
Can you tell me how to take a screenshot please, i tried hold back key and press home key already, but nohting happened

hey thats cool,
but my SEUS dont say that there aren't newer updates
maybe it is because my bootloaders are unlocked and i am running DooMKernel with root?
and is there a way to update to 2.3.4 wihout loosing data? flashtool?
(i have already downloaded the .tft file)
i think that relocking the bootloaders and flashing the tft file with flashtool without the userdata.sin is the solution?

Hello again xda. I really hope someone will be able to help me. So the issue is I am getting a weird looking boot screen every time I turn on my phone or restart. It looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Now this is not the same model as mine but the screen is exactly the same as what happens to mine. It stays on that for a few seconds and then goes to the honor screen and boots as normal and as far as I can tell, the phone works fine for all intents and purposes. It's just an eyesore having to see that every time and I was wondering if there is anyway to fix this to make it the regular boot? Let me also note that my bootloader is locked and I cannot unlock it for the life of me. I usually resolve things like this on my own after doing research but I have done extensive research on this matter and cannot find a solution. I did the thing where it gives me the unlock code and it tells me it is invalid every time I try to unlock with it. I attempted to call Huawei and they said they cannot help me with that and kept reiterating it will void my warranty. So keep this in mind, I cannot do any kind of flash from recovery because my phone is locked and I have no way to unlock it to my knowledge. Any and all help will be much appreciated. If any more information is needed just let me know, but I believe I covered everything. Thanks.
EDIT: As requested I will add another piece of information. I do not get the Huawei powered by Android screen (without animation), I guess that is the part the weird boot screen replaces. I do however, get the Huawei screen that does have an animation.
Model Number KIW-AL10
Build Number KIW-L24C567B331
It seems that you debrand it to use another model's firmware. That's the reason I believe
Lol... I was about to say that another user has the same problem but could not find a solution and then I saw the OP and it's you buddy.
Hope you solve your problem now that this problem has a thread of its own.

One thing to add, if you don't that green screen at the beginning, revert back to the official fw
Just to clarify, when we turn on Huawei phone, there are two honor logos, the first one is honor and powered by Android (without animation) and the second one is honor (with animation), I guess you don't see the first powered by Android logo...
If yes, please edit OP to mention this...

There are no unofficial methods available to unlock bootloader on redmi-note-4, you should wait few more days, and try again with the latest mi unlock tool. You'll get your phone unlocked.
BTW, choose find my device then let it locate your phone, reboot your device few times then try unlocking.

You can make a DIY Engineering Cable (Google it) or order one online to flash directly. That's probably the only method of doing anything to Redmi Note 4.
As for the official unlock method, ****in' read the forums, there are hundreds of threads. Just wait a few days after getting confirmation SMS and voila, phone unlocked. You can also use a chinese VPN for instant unlock

Ignore whatever the error you'll see while doing that.

so the only way to flash a custom rom right now is to go for the risky edl mode?

70 hours is less than 3 days. You are getting the unlock before most of us who didn't know the VPN trick back then. It took us 5-7 days after the confirmation sms to get the unlock done. And some people were getting the error even after 10 days or more.
I had the same problem with the 72h wait. I just used an older version of the unlocker software from mi and it worked without waiting!! You can find it in this Post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/re...p-step-guide-to-flash-android-n-beta-t3551221.

When i try to unlock the bootloader it gives me a "current account is not bound to this account."
With that being said, i have contacted the seller and they told me to perform a wide data process with a chinese miui pc suite. I have tried to do that but as soon as i begin the process, it cancels by itself. I am hoping someone can shed some light to this.

Eh, what do you mean?
Your device isn't even booting? Or you were just assuming that by the error ''current account isn't bound to this account''?
Everyone in here, who've unlocked their bootloader have faced those errors / issues. Heck even 99% stuck error lol
Give Xiaomi servers time to sync your device details, eventually you'll get your phone unlocked.
Wait wait! It's the key lol

The device is stuck on a bootloop. It wont boot anything but a miui white logo with a black background.

I've tried to follow the guide as best as i could but it still wont work. In order for this guide to work, i have to turn my phone off and no matter what i do, it will not turn off unless it is out of battery. All i can do is go to the recovery screen, miui loading screen or fastboot. :/ Any ideas?

Huh, damn.
I think there are fastboot flashable Miui [stock roms] available. Not sure if it's works with locked bootloader. Wait lemme find you the guide.
I suffered from a hardbrick when locking my bootloader. managed to install the Stock firmware with December 2017 updates. (Software channel retca) phone finally came alive after 3 days working on it but the fingerprint scanner seemed to have disappeared. Any ideas why and how to fix it?
i have the same problem too! i've tried to install stock and custom rom but still, no luck . If anyone here know how to make the fingerprint scanner works again, kudos to you!
I managed to do the bootloader lock again, however, then I ran out of operator, but I unlocked the bootloader and installed a custom rom and everything is functional.

Yes, but you can flash stock again. My fingerprint worked with stock ROM.

The fix is just reflash? can I do a factory reset instead? or would it work if I wait for the next OTA?

You need re-lock your bootloader, and flash stock again, after that your fingerprint work again.

No, it's locked as factory.
@erfanoabdi do you know any solution for our problem?
Did anyone find a solution yet?
I was finding out that several MOTO G4 PLUS users had the same problem, because it is an error in the HW partition error that was solved thanks to a user who uploaded a copy of his partition without errors, sorry for my English and for not knowing much of the subject, I feel that based on this we can solve our lack of fingerprint sensor since several users of moto z have the same problem.
I attach the link, the important information goes from page 10 onwards, in the YouTube video you see how the own partition is arranged based on the partition without errors uploaded by the user
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mo...luss-model-changed-to-g4-lost-t3496912/page10
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o2Pao6lnINg
I trust that one of you will help us with the copy of the hw partition which can be done with partitions backup & restore apk
i've already unlocked the bootloader but unable to find stock firmware anywhere. it uses a msm8937 (but according to cpu-z it's a msm8917) but i cant find a firehose for qfil or a loader with bklerler's edl tool. i can boot into ffbm mode but it seems it's locked tight unlike other devices where i can gain adb su without rooting the device
saw this thread and wanted to ask if anyone wanted to help me get a boot.img to root it since its from the same odm. it's an assurance wireless free phone

I'd be willing to help with this. I have one of these phones as well. Is there a way we could chat somewhere to have better response times between us?

mods are gonna remove any links to chat apps/groups
let's keep it in the thread for now so anyone else can benefit. i'd read up on firehoses and the edl protocol if you aren't familiar with it. heres an open source tool to interface with devices through edl: https://github.com/bkerler/edl
i've already unlocked my bootloader but have no firehose or loader to connect with my sv55. all i need is that to pull the boot image then i can patch it with magisk and flash it back

Afternoon luridphantom
I have the same question as BigBubbaCJ. I just recently acquired this phone (Schok Volt V55S) and would like to know where to get info on unlocking the bootloader. Not sure I need another ROM, but want to be able to delete all the bloatware (google crap) from this phone and be able to enter "storage" to put music and photo's on. TNX

just do adb reboot bootloader and fastboot oem unlock
plenty of tutorials in xda to show you how to do that

Hey luridphantom
Thanx for the reply and info. A related question: once the bootloader is unlocked, shouldn't you be able to root without flashing another ROM?

no, you need the firmware to do anything with an unlocked device
recovery for building twrp, boot for magisk patching and rooting
so now there is a way to get root but it involves a lot of steps and someone sacrificing their phone for the cause
all we need to do is follow these same steps: https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/umx-u696cl-unofficial-root-thread.4446111/
Will this make your phone unusable after doing all these steps?

according to the guy who got root on his 696, yes. 2 phones are required to get root, 1 for the actual flashing and rooting, the other to rescue the first phone with once root has been obtained

I take it you found a boot.img to be able to root. Was it for the sv55 (SV55216 build)?.... I need that firmware if you would please share it.
Thanks,
Jaymi

thats not the correct way to read the build, but mine is svv55216_01.01.04.131651
if that matches, feel free to patch this boot with magisk
if not you need to use the recovery i uploaded, build twrp from it then flash it
