What version and security update is it?
Huge update at 1.5 GB. Switches a lot between LTE+ and LTE status. Device supports HD Voice but downgrades phone calls now from H+ to only 3G? I have noticed that shutdown time is quicker, but boot time is slower due to new enhanced start-up graphics. Battery life seems to drain quicker now. Not impressed with this new update. Plus it's only Nougat 7.0, and not 7.1. This is on the Bell Canada network.

Version 7.0, security version dated November 1, 2016. I'm not rooted and not BL unlocked.
After a day's use seems stable which is nice. To me the most obvious change is the multi window capability...Haven't tried the VR stuff. Battery performance doesn't feel like it's different than before so I don't know if the more aggressive Doze ability of Nougat is making a noticeable difference yet. Interesting coments in the previous post about the switching LTE bands and voice over 3g....I didn't even know to watch for that but if this is happening on my device, it hasn't affected me negatively. More to observe over the next few days.
My Bell Moto Z
Bell pushed 7.0 to me but the security patch level is showing January 1, 2017
I noticed that the battery drains quicker on 7.0 but I only had it on MM for 3 days before I accepted the OTA update.

Any idea when it's coming out for Verizon?

I believe that Oreo will start droping Jan - Feb... T-Mobile and Xfinity first Sprint and Verizon Last...just guessing though...
Beta should be coming soon. For most countries in Europe. But it still is pretty disappointing that S8 got Oreo and Note8 which uses similar hardware didn't. Plus Samsung could support Note users after Note7 failure.
And porting Oreo to N8 from S8 is really difficult. First beta didn't boot for some reason and getting a logcat with Samsungs new security is bit more difficult. Second beta has even more security which makes it even worse.
Did You guys hear that all Oreo devices have to use Project Treble? So once we get official Oreo we can boot Generic AOSP on our phones!
Coolness

Currently it's just disabled in build.prop(S8 beta) but Google requires all manufacturers to use and enable Project Treble. Doesn't seem like any Oreo betas have it. But official releases will be forced to have that. It's not recommended anymore. Now Google forces all manufacturers to use it. Samsung is already using HIDL in Oreo beta which is a good sign. But still. They have to give us Treble. Otherwise Google will be mad lol idk.

Nokia 8 just got Official Oreo and doesn't have Treble . We'll see what Samsung gives us in the final release. But for now I feel like August Nougat is the last update Note8 will ever get.. I'm starting to feel bad for selling my S7 Edge. My friend has S7 and he already runs Oreo on it. I think even Galaxy S2 has Oreo.

I don't think that's how Treble works. The news that XDA had yesterday was that it seemed easier to port an AOSP ROM. You still need to be able to flash it, and as long as the Snapdragon bootloader remains locked, there won't be any custom ROMs for our phones.
The good news for most of us is that security and core Android updates won't be held up by the manufacturers and the carriers.

I'm glad yours is more up to date than my UK Exynos version. I bought it on launch day and had a update that day and that was it. In my opinion that's not good enough for such an expensive phone. But I'm a sucka for Samsung phones so guess I'll just get on with it.
Ps it's not tied to any carrier, so I'm waiting for a update directly from Samsung.

Yeh but im not into unlocking bootloader anymore. Reason I'm complaining mainly is that I'm way behind on security updates and my Aod is killing my battery hard, so I'm hoping an update will fix that. Otherwise the phone is working great.

That's understandable. I use aod throughout the day and I think it drains mine as well.
I think a lot of other variants of the Z (US,EU) have theupdate but mine bought in Hong Kong is still stuck on December Patched 7.1.1? Softare channel retapac
Same here for RETEU
Where did you hear about the reteu getting the update?

Dang I guess it's just the US version getting the update
We lads outside have to wait a longer while... Thank god there aren't any huge upgrades from Nougat to Oreo but I wish Motorola would speed it up a bit. Scared of getting the Z2 Force now but I love the Modssss and want a better performing phone
I had a retus model that broke and the replacement I bought turned out to be a RETAPAC. Still on 7.1.1/Dec here as well.
Any news for retapac?
You can just sideload it.
I've running Oreo on my retapac moto z for a couple of months.
I just now receibed Oreo on my retapac, but I think I'm not going to update, seeing the drain battery issue and the random restarts problem.
System Updates for XT1650-03 retapac
Guys, finally i got updated OREO this morning for retapac channel
Does anyone have the rcica version if so is it exactly the same security patch level with mine . And also if there is an update
I have Moto Z(1650-03). Android 8(OTA via RSD). The loader is unlocked. Will the phone survive if I flash stock 7.1.1(GRIFFIN_NPLS26.118-20-5-8_cid50_subsidy-DEFAULT_regulatory-DEFAULT_CFC.xml\flashfile.xml)? Battery so bad.

Two more weeks then.
Thanks for informing us
LG should change their developers cause they are ****! 9months for a update, amazing:laugh: no LG for me, never.
I wonder what the hell makes Oreo update this hard? They already dispatched an update for dual sim models. All the G6s are using the same hardware. So, what makes it this hard to implement Oreo update for Indian versions? Someone explain this pls.

Mohammad str, Appreciate your announcement. Is there any chance to consider below items with Oreo or next update.
1) VoLTE support for Airtel, Vodafone and Idea. (Many devices released at same time like One plus 5 updated to VoLTE long back).
2) Option to reduce screen resolution to FHD+ for improved battery life, reduced standby battery drain and reduced screen stuttering (please do not abandon this when same option is given for V30)
3) AICam and Graphy feature if possible.
Thanks in Advance. A reply is highly appreciated.

I'm kinda dissapointed.. I thought this was a flagship device.. No OTA for over two months, no Android 12 in sight in Europe.. Damn I should've get that Pixel6 instead
Shouldn't UI 3.0 be just around the corner now? Give it a couple of weeks or a month?
Now i read on rmupdates site , android 12 stable rolling out for GT 5G users in China . No news for global
Europe will receive in January, hopefully
It looks like we'll receive a security patch for December after all.

LG has begun upgrading the Wing to Android 12, seven months on from the device's last OS update. Android 12 brings several changes to the device and contains the latest set of Android security patches. Rolling out in South Korea first, Android 12 is over a 1.5 GB download and is the LG Wing's...

So apparently some Wings are already on Android 12!
I just bought an unlocked carrier free LG Wing (LM-F100EMW) in Germany and it says it is up to date with Android 10 with a 1 July 2021 Security Patch Level?
Why is there such a discrepancy in release dates?
Strange. I wouldn't sweat it. 10 is better version anyway. Another from 9 or higher is secure enough unless you do something stupid.
Well, I did some digging and found this thread:
LGUp 1.16.3 Patched Found and Works with LG Wing
Honestly found it on XDA of all places after looking for it all night What does 1.16 give us that 1.14 doesn't? Everything honestly. Could not get my Wing recognized to flash with 1.14. No 1.15 Patched exists either We can downgrade with...

And I managed to flash Android 11.
Can you flash back to 10? I am in the US and no update to 12 yet
Just received Android 12. So far seems to be working well. Have some nice added features, mainly seems to be more polished than 11. Another cool feature is that it shows you with a Green Dot indicator by the battery when you're camera and/or microphone is on.

Seems pretty snappy. Window, transitions, notification pull Downs, notification previews are all prettier. I would say I'm pleased with Android 12. Battery life seems to be as good or better also!
So I ordered a F100N to use in Scandinavia. And I heard they've come further than the US versions. Just wanted to know if it could be upgraded to Android 12? Or even 13?
LG Wing Android 12 updates has bugs. I am not able to open Wi-Fi settings and other sensors stopped working. After a hard reset it worked for 3 weeks but again same problem. Even after installing new patch with 5G support my Wing in unable to connect to Wi-Fi.
