Proximity Sensor Not Working on my OnePlus 2 Please HELP ! - OnePlus 2 General

Hi Guys,
I am currently on stock Oxygen os 3.1.0 but my proximity sensor is not working. Please help me in this.
Thanks in advance,
Abhishek

man, pardon my ignorance but this is problem statement is so vague that there is absolutely no way anyone can help you with anything...
If you are on stock, never did any modifications to your phone (no custom ROM, no custom kernel, no funky stuff), and it suddenly stopped, it might as well be a "bad luck" and it died on you. In that case all you can do is raise an RMA via OnePlus directly.
If you, however, have a history of flashing and tweaking our OS, you might want to flash your device back to factory default (you'll find some guides on oneplus forums or here) to see if that does the trick. I would advise this method even in the first case, though OP will suggest as a 1st possible solution when you attempt to create a RMA anyways.

[Q] Alcatel One Touch X'Pop 5035D

Good day all,
Last week my phone died, so i was forced to buy a new one. I wanted to get a cheap phone with a dual core processor. With that in mind i bought myself the Alcatel One Touch X'Pop 5035D. Now don't get my wrong, i am fairly happy with the phone but i was used to phone that were rooted and had some community behind it to make that happen. Now i realise this is a fairly new phone that is a mid-end smartphone but i really hope someone could look in to this phone.
The only thread that i found about this phone was pretty much dead and i was hoping a new topic would put some new light on this phone.
I myself ain't someone that can develop anything for this phone since i just don't have the required skills to start a project like this. Now the only thing i can do is ask the following questions:
1) Is anyone able to Root this device?
2) Would it be a possibility for someone to make a ROM for this phone?
I would be able to test any upcoming ROM's or Roots, so thats no issue.
I really hope to get some responses since this phone has the hardware to run jellybean.
Oh and Alcatel released the sources on their phones on sourceforge, that might be helpfull:

Thanks in advance!

Alcatel Ideal (4060a) Custom ROM install?

Hey guys. Im trying to install a custom ROM for Android. I have an Alcatel Ideal, and I want to install something like Marshmallow or Nougat. At the moment I'm on Lollipop. How can I do that? Also, another question. What is TWRP and what does it do?
Thanks,
Kingstevenrules.
Well it shows you didn't do much research. You can't just flash any Android device. You have have to find out if the bootloader is unlocked. Very few devices can be flashed and updated like that and most of the low tier devices can't be at all.
In my case, "All you have to do is unlock developer options on Alcatel Idea", not working. I am unable to unlock OEM, but that not a problem, since I got root, I am good.
Look guys, just because the guy is unfamiliar with how the forums work does Not give you the right to call him an "idiot"! Chill out and point the guy in the right direction. It takes the same amount of your time either way
@Kingstevenrules Marshmallow or Nougat is not available for this cheap phone. TWRP is recovery tool, it help when your phone becomes upset.

Locking Fastboot for Stratos

Hi all,
As there's a procedure to unlock the bootloader, I'd like to ask if there is a procedure to lock it back.
I've searched the forum but didn't found any procedure. Sorry if this is a dumb question to ask.
Thanks in advance.

Just in cases someone is curious about why I'd like to do that: Heartbeat monitor stopped working all of a sudden (green lights don't switch on under any circumstances and AFTER SALES test fails 100% of times). It seems is a hardware issue and I like to try returning the watch to be repaired but I am so desperate to try to fix it that I tried to switch ROMs in order to check if that would fix it and now probably I've lost my right to claim

Please help reset/unlock FRP lock for LG-V530

I don't want to root (if that even solves the problem) to use this tablet.
I tried all the options from weeks now...actually more than 1 month.
called LG , Google and t mobile....no help
Very frustrated please help or guide me to the right direction
if not just say it ...it's bricked and i can go on with my life.
Friend don't know the email used to sign in previously.
Thank you for reading !
You ever fix the issue? I can probably be of assistance because I've bypassed frp on a ton of different devices and could use the stock firmware for an issue I'm having with my own V530 as well.
Seems there is absolutely NO development, TWRP.CWM/Philz recovery, custom ROMs, or even the stock firmware online and I've searched for 3 solid weeks now for anything that would fix the issue were experiencing with this cursed tablet lol
i was but i paid for it -_-
if you do find THE solution , will you post it here on this thread for future reference ?

Huawei P20 lite g-sensor

Hello, i recently bought a new huawei p20 lite, after a few hours of use the autorotaion stopped working, the g-sensor isn't recognised by the phone, suggestions please?
Hi there
If it really is not working, might be a defect on the phone from factory, which is rare since they test them supposely, but since it's on warranty just call warranty or ask for a new phone which I think you can because it's an hardware issue.
Cheers,
AS

I had the same issue with my P20 lite. I noted that the problem was due to firmware upgrade (i don' t rember my version because I change it with a new phone)
Did you made any update?
If yes, you can try to rollback.
can yuo provide your firmaware version?
Hi, I have a preciose information about the fiirmware upgrade.
I was in the versione ANE-LX18.0.0.144(C461) and upgrade in ANE-LX18.0.0.145(C461) whith sercurity patch o October 1th.
After this update the sensors are disabled and no way to enable them, I try with factory reset (with wipe cache) from phone and erecovery.
This the second phone that I have with same issue.
Now, for sure the problem is related the software update and is related the particular build (C461).
I'm wondering if someone help us to roll backt to previouse version of fimware
Regards
Hi there, i'm sorry i am not a member of this forum but i had the same issue:
i was on build ANE-LX1 8.0.0.144 and upgraded to 8.0.0.145. At that point all motion sensors stopped working. I also upgraded to 8.0.0.146 hoping for a bugfix but nothing happened.
I asked help to the shop where i bought it and they told me the 30 day return period was expired and i needed to go to a huawei support center.
i contacted huawei customer support and they told me that if the hard reset did not work i needed to go to a huawei support center.
Today i am going to the support center and i hope they will fix the problem or at least making a downgrade to 8.0.0.144.
i will come back to you as soon as i have some news.
see you guys
Hi guys,
I've seen the same problem on the following threads:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/help/compass-t3876121
https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/help/auto-rotate-stopped-t3877969
I suggest you do the same downgrade with official software through the guide of kilroystyx which I link below or if you think it's too much for you then just go to a customer service center like @aaabbbggg is doing
Guide https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-lite/how-to/rom-official-emui-8-0-huawei-p20-lite-t3773999

Greetings,
i went to the customer support center and they told me to come back after xmas, new year and epiphany holiday so basically i would solve this problem mid january.
since @ars_chelsea posted a solution that does not involve warranty breaking actions i will proceed with his guide to downgrade to 8.0.0.144 and eventually manually upgrade to 8.0.0.162 or maybe not.
My real problem was that i am not really into android modding and so on so i don't know forums and people to help me. I could not find any useful information or other people with the same problem until yesterday when i posted in this thread.
Thanks again to everyone.
Problem Not Solved
Hello again folks,
i downgraded EMUI to 8.0.0.144 which was the last working version on my phone using the 7th point on the guide @ars_chelsea suggested.
Anyway the problem persists.
At this point i believe the issue is in fact correlated to the software upgrade but it propagates to become an hardware issue.
i don't know if anyone has restored the full functionality with the downgrade but this doesn't seem to be my case.
Good luck every one, and thank you all for the support.
Hi there
That's really odd, but I advice you to not lose more time and just send it to warranty services, because now I'm starting to think it could be bad contact on the sensor which is a hardware problem.
It's rare to happen but man made machines sometimes fail on the making of smartphones
Cheers,
AS
