Hello Guys, I'm kinda new here, but I hope you can help me.
A couple of weeks ago I reseted my phone to system settings, as it started to reboot I switched it off by pushing the power button for a few seconds, because I dind't need my phone at that time.
Well, It turned out it was a bad idea to do that, because after that I kept getting bootloops over and over, even the phone wouldn't stop restarting.
After some time I figured it out how to flash roms. I flashed, I think it was modifided miui 7.3.6.0 fastboot rom( to unlock bootloader, official way dind't work for me) via edl mode, and everything worked fine again, except camera and mobile network.
Maybe I try another rom, I thought maybe some rom that has nothing to do with miui.
Well, I just installed latest CM 13 (via twrp, I managed to open my bootloader) and, boom, camera was working again!
But after putting my SIM Card in, I was dissapointed: Mobile network still wasn't working (card is working in other phone)
I tried Pac-man but still getting same results.
What can I do? Please help, I can't afford a new phone now
If you want MIUI Rom than you have to flash Stock MIUI Rom via edl mode and in MiFlash tool select clean all option which is located at the bottom of the MiFlash tool. If you want custom Rom like Cm13 and RR Remix or any cyanogenmod based Rom than you have to flash The Rom, Gapps and Firmware file for Cm13. If you are not getting mobile network than simply flash Firmware file via TWRP recovery than your problem will be solved. I am providing you the link for Cm13 Firmware and Gapps. Hope it will solve your problem. Hit thanks if i helped you.
CM13 Firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424951192
Gapps: http://opengapps.org/
Thanks for replying me!
I made now a dirty flash with the firmware file from your link, but I still getting no service
Maybe I forgot to mention above that the sim card is beeing detacted, that means I can see my brands' name in the settings.

Really?
I live normally in Germany, but now I'm in Poland for one week.
The sim card I am using right now is a polish one, maybe I should try my german one?
Edit : No it's not working either
Could you post your source (@nomistune) ? I can't find it.
In Germany all worked fine.
No one? ?
have you checked your IMEI ?
IMEI lost can cause no service.
in case you lost your IMEI, you can use this tutorial. But make sure you are on MIUI ROM.

I checked my IMEI by typing *#06# on dialler, but I got a note with two IMEI Numbers, so I guess that's not the problem.

If I were you, I would put the phone in EDL mode & flash the latest global xiaomi rom. If it still doesn't work you're probably facing a hardware issue
Given that we now know your imei are fine it would be wise to remove that screenshot you made.
People can impersonate your phone by knowing those numbers.

As MrColdbird already said you should better remove the screenshot. Otherwise everyone can steal your unique IMEI and set them on their own phones and also other things.

Before flashing cm13, you need to flash appropriate firmware which can be found in thread, here is cm13 firmware :: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424951192
Wipe everything, flash this firmware. And then flash cm13
--------------
Or if you want to flash LineageOS 14.1 then you need to flash appropriate firmware of 14.1 before flashing 14.1 :: this :: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B803ZxoErIryOVZvOFNIcVppMkU/view

What ROM/Kernel did you flash?
PDA usually doesn't matter what you flash;
but if you flashed the wrong phone/modem for your network you will have issues like this, as for the kernel you can also experience these issues - since it communicates with the hardware; so it is suggesting the kernel is not compatible with your ROM which is reporting no SIM.
I am not 100% knowledgeable, but it does suggest you have flashed the wrong phone/modem.
I would advise on getting the official ROM you where on (before flashing new rom/kernel), flashing it and checking to see if it recognizes the SIM now. If it does, you are fine, you just need to ensure you use the correct phone/modem for your new ROM; if it is still a problem it may be a hardware issue that software can't fix.

Listen to what T_ is sugesting. download from samfirmware your original firmware,Not a custom rom
boot into recovery and do a full wipe/factory reset. Wipe delvik cache, then under mounts and storage, format system.
turn off the phone and go into download mode. flash the original firmware within Odin.
u dint reply properly wen i said try in otha phone i mean did the sim work in otha phone if not then sim prblm...let me kno...
Try to read this post i wrote some hours ago.
and try to disable the pin protection from the sim card.
then the sim card could get the connection to the carrier
if so you have a problem like me.

I'll guess that's because he didn't understand a word you said. He's not alone.
Anyone who doesn't have English as a first language struggles with your "English". As a native English speaker, I just find it irritating beyond belief.
You're not a gangstah, it's not cool, and you are more than capable of stringing together more than two intelligible words - so why not do it?
The forum rules state plainly that English is the default language here. You do not follow those rules. Think about it.
Not flaming, not trolling. But I'm right.
I did what you said and no change..

Did you check your IMEI (type *#06# on your dialpad) ?
It should be a number starting with 359585... If it's not, your /efs might be corrupted and flashing a stock rom will not help you.
Cheers,

P.S.: please use thanks if this was helpful.

i tried all sorts of modem from the modem collection page here on xda
those modems used to work when i had a different rom but still, is there a way maybe to extract the modem from the ZIP file of miui rom ?
i tried searching modem.bin inside the miui zip file but theres none.
if theres no modem.bin file in it then does that means it uses the existing modem ?
if so then il need to revert back to the rom i had before miui ? or just revert to stock rom ?
ive flashed stock rom and still nothing
also, on mobile networks menu i cannot see any networks to choose from

Hi, I've got an i9300 like 8 months ago, it was from a carrier "Claro", from Costa Rica (but not locked), I flashed a Poland 4.1.1 I think it was XXLIB, then I upgraded to 4.1.2, and then I had to flash again to 4.1.2 but with a different rom XXEKC, everything was fine
Two days ago my internet icon was gone, I didn't change anything, today I called my op to check the problem, they sent me an apn config, which I accepted, nothing solved, so I tried to switch to GSM only, and my phone stopped working I can make emergency calls only, my sim works fine on other phones, It's not connecting to 3G neighter. My imei is the same to the one in the sticker, and my SN is not 000000.
Every thread I read was about wrong imei or empty SN, and after a flashing, in my case it stopped working sudenly, I already tried to hard reset and flash another stock rom.
Any ideas?
thanks in advance

if the imei is blocked then your carrier should know so contact them

No, it just says emergency only in the status bar, and says "not registered on network" when trying to make a call
ADDED: I just called the original operator, they say the first owner of the phone doesn't have any pending payments, so it's there is no imei lock due to non-payment, however I have a chinese phone, and I would not explain due to xda rules but the chinese phone would not connect when I make it "look similar" to my s3. It's not reported as stolen nieghter, it just happened as I asked my operator for help with the internet access and received and apn config.

EFS folder is unique for each phone. It stores IMEI number and other relevant information about it.
There is no way to duplicate it from another unit, logically i mean, because it will be right it. A duplicate from other phone. And the operator can ban your's from registering in their network anytime.

My idea was to buy a motherboard and transfer the folder and discard the mobo instead of exchanging the entire mobo as I don't want to harm anythinng inside, but it sounds that exchanging the mobo is the only way right? I flashed WanamLite v6.8. After flashing I lost calling facility.
later I realized my IMEI was changed. I was kinda of hopeless. Tried whatever I could have tried for. At last I gave up. I unrooted and made binary number back to 0 and flashed stock firmware. Still I didn't find anything working. I gave my i9300 at service centre. Got it repaired. Thanks for asking.

after a long struggle I managed to get cellular network again by following http://en.miui.com/forum.php?mod=redirect&goto=findpost&ptid=559510&pid=11003999
My kenzo had Baseband and IMEI but "no signal". I flashed kenzo_global_images_6.7.21_20160712.0000.26_6.0_global_bc4c2904a5 (it seems to be a bridge rom version used for downgrades) and then kenzo_global_images_V7.3.6.0.LHOMIDD_20160523.0000.23_5.1_global_aef179560d
Signal only appeared after a while after flashing the 5.1 ROM. Then flashed kenzo_global_images_V8.2.4.0.MHOMIDL_20170522.0000.00_6.0_global and it continued working.
Edit: it is better but far from perfect as I could make and receive calls for a while but then it lost cell network. I don't know of any more ways to fix this.
Hope this helps!

in your pics, it shows the phone seeing both sim slots, so that functionality should be fine. Flash this in Odin and it will no longer be rooted, but knox will be tripped forever on that phone. no way to un-do that part.

custom f firmware? the stuff you get from sammobile is OEM stock firmware
there isnt a bespoke dual sim firmware available. From what can gather, the firmware detects what hardware you have and will show dual sim if it is so equipped. Ive seen the d/s version discussed several times on here and thats always been the outcome.

ok, can you boot into the OS? If so, go to the play store and download CPU-Z, run it, take some scrrenshots of SOC, Device and System and post them here
Is it odd that the IMEI are the same number? Supposed it is N that sold as F to gain more money as dual sim.

And check This on CPU-Z its an exynos but on imei info its snapdragon, also cpu-z its G965F on imei info its G965N!!!!
If it is an N, there's no way to activate dual sim. It's got only 1 IMEI. The hardware for 2nd SIM is just not there.

i wouldnt trust the IMEI info page unless it somehow remotes into your phone via an app of some sort to physically check the hardware. CPU-Z pulls from the SOC, mobo etc itself. You can prove this by getting an older version of the app from one of many apk repositories (apkmirror, for example), once downloaded turn on airplane mode so that the apk doesnt know what device its being installed on, install it, run it and see what it says. It could have some info baked into the app for it to cheat, but id be for more likely to believe the imei info is cheating than cpu-z

i hear ya. i would flash the F firmware since that is what CPU-Z says it has. Im betting that the info from IMEI details is what was supposedly shipped on the device. Your software version says its a Exynos chip, CPU-Z says it is too. Id not trust anything thats telling you what processor is in your phone that isnt interfacing with it directly such as firmware and CPU-Z.
