I have ASUS ZENFONE MAX and it runs on lollipop version. Everytime I play a game, A pop up appears asking to install the latest version of google play games app. I generally cancel it and play the game but now i am fed up because it slows up the initialization of my game. Should I do it? If I don't want to how do I avoid the force notification. . Thanks in advance:good:

Yes, You need to update play services. Most apps run even if you cancel the updating of play service. But some apps can't run without play services.
For avoid pop up messages you can update or disable play services.

In the play store, there should be a list of settings specific for the app. The top option in my device is Auto-update Apps. Have you tried disabling that already? I'm honestly not sure if this would prevent auto-update of system apps such as Play Store. I just figure that's worth asking just to eliminate a step for someone who might know better.

I'm going to do a full restore because I don't know how to replace a system app.
Then I'll give your advice a test run and see. Thanks for the reply.
Hi there,
I am trying to install Pokemon GO on Memu 2.7.2 from the website apk mirror (can't link it cuz I don't have enough posts)
Every app is easily installed however Pokemon GO fails to install without giving me any reason why.
Has anyone encountered the same problem and has a possible fix?
Thanks!
Same problem here. Haven't found a fix for it yet. The apk worked fine on mobile so that's not the problem.
We'll probably have to wait till it's downloadable through the playstore.
Yes they are blocking devices that can't get the app from the PlayStore and banning people that are sideloading it
Pokemon Go required Android 4.4 And MEmu is 4.2

There's actually a Lollipop version now.
I was able to install it from the Play Store, but it still force closes after I launch it.
Edit: I actually got it working. I just had to set up Google Play Games. It's working great now!

I installed the lollipop version and installed Play Games, and it still force closes the app upon startup. Was there anything else you had to do to get it to work?

Did you open Play Games and make sure you're signed in? That's all I did. Which version of Pokemon Go are you using? I have 0.29.2 which was released today.

Yeah, I installed Play Games, signed into my account, and clicked around on a few things to be sure I was signed in correctly. Then I just I installed the game from the Play Store, which I would assume is the most up to date version.
Edit: Just verified - it's 0.29.2
Double edit: I opened Play Games, navigated to "My Games" or whatever, and opened the game from inside Play games, and it worked. Wont work if I try to open it from the home screen though.
having same problem but going though play games didnt fix it for me. Running the latest memu beta, game installs from play store, run game from play games and still crashing. Thoughts?
I got it installed but it's also crashing for me
me too
Grave diggging!!!!!
I'm stocked by noticing https://play.google.com doesn't have Play Store app that connects to https://play.google.com for downloading and updating apps.
Since https://play.google.com doesn't have Play Store app, how does Play Store app update itself? Does the update come from other channels?
Thanks?

Hey ...hi...
It updates itself in background when you turn on mobile data if the update is available .....
You can see in network meter ....
You dont use data but meter shows you are using...
No, I'm asking the source of the update. Is it from Play Store or somewhere else? If it's from Play Store, why cannot I find it?

In my thought.....
It has source other than playstore...
It cannot be appear in playstore
....
You can only notice when you have Internet Speed Meter...

Hi there,
The Google Play Store app is frequently updated in the background, without you ever realizing it. Not sure about the source of this update but it gets updated after a time interval. Google even provides you option to force Play store to grab the latest version. But, source of update neither disclosed in app nor in the guidelines.
Thanks
I really want to play the game "Grid Autosports" but it is not available on the Google Play Store as the device has not been approved to play the game. Is there a workaround for this? Is there a way I can get the Google Store to think my phone is an "approved" phone. Thanks in advance!!!

Hi, this game has unfortunately whitelist of devices on which you can install it. Theoretically you if you have rooted phone you can rename your device to one of supported but please do not do it. On for example YouTube you can find tutorials which will show you how to install it on unsupported device. You have to just download apk and data. Install apk and extract data to specific folder and it should work. Good luck.
Hi all dear XDA users.
I have a problem with the Play Store. I need to disable the auto update of the Play Store itself (not to be confused with excluding application updates). If anyone knows a way and would be able to share it, I would be very grateful.

Play store settings/network preference/automatically update apps.
I am not talking about updating the application via the Play Store, but about disabling the auto-update of the Play Store Application itself.

It seems to me that it's the same thing or else put restrictions on the play store by prohibiting Wifi and data, by doing this you will no longer have any updates.
