I have the Xperia international keyboard activated and it shows in all apps. But when I run Instagram, the keyboard no longer has suggested words or spell checking. How do I get the standard behavior in this app?
I can't find any info about this problem, boh?

For me it seems like it only works in the messaging app. Wtf
Messaging, facebook and email i confirmed...doesn't work in the browser..kinda weird yeah..
I'm using Stock 2.3.3 I9100XWKF1 PDA (not rooted) and whenever I install a new keyboard predictive text stops working in the Social Hub for email (all email accounts - ActiveSync, Gmail, Hotmail).
When I send an SMS, the new keyboard works AND the predictive text works. Go to send an email and the keyboard is there but no predictive text.
I've tried a number of different keyboards and the same behavior happens every time.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and how I can fix this without rooting? Any suggestions for a keyboard I can try that is confirmed working elsewhere?
Thanks in advance,
It's because social hub is not really good software. No really! Textfields in this app where you type in need to be modified, so that the keyboard apps used will activate their predictive text modes.
It's really not your apps which don't function like they should. It's social hub that needs a fix.
Hi
I'm in the UK, currently using my new unrooted Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F), updated to 5.1.1. When I'm typing normal text, doesn't matter if it's a text, Hangout message or FB Messenger message, emoticons come up in the middle of my words, when I've not even gone anywhere near the emoticon key. I like a keyboard that has a number line above the QWERTY keyboard, so have been using Swiftkey, but it's also happened with the Google 1, which isn't a 3rd party one (as far as I know).
Has anyone else had anything like this? I've done searches, can't see anything similar.
Am thinking I'll try a wipe first just to see if that'll help the issue, but any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks
After using Hangouts for the last two years, I was prompted within the app to upgrade to the newest version today. I thought I would check out Google Messenger, and so far, I really like it. By and large, it is much faster on my Motorola Droid 4 running CM 11 (4.4.4) than Hangouts ever was.
One issue I'm finding is that I cannot use the Enter key on my physical keyboard to send a message. I see no option to do that in the immediate settings.
Is there any way to enable that in the Google Messenger app?
What he said^
I'm also wondering this. Using a logitech bluetooth keyboard and Swiftkey on an LG G3
Would have also accepted an Xposed module, but I think something like that would be tough to implement. It would have to be an app-specific hack or else it would be global, and then you'd be in any other app, hitting enter, and sending whatever feedback triggers the "send" command.
Greetings,
I received a Lenovo Z5 two weeks ago as a replacement to my old phone and so far it has been fantastically awesome... or most of it. I noticed that after a week factory resetting the phone for my personal needs and setting up, no notifications aside from phone calls and SMS pops up either on lock screen or on the notification tab while on home screen or using other apps. So far I have managed to get Facebook, Gmail, Outlook, Messangers and a few social networking apps (Zalo - Vietnamese version of Messanger/WeChat) working (partially) with their notifications. However, apps such as Discord, Reddit, Youtube, and a couple entertainment apps do not pop their notifications - they did pop up one time but after that nothing shows up even after couple of reboots.
I am currently using ZUI 10.5; all notifications settings are turned on. No apps' notification permissions were denied/blacklisted. Any help is appreciated.
Hello (Xin chao)
Are you a Vietnamese ?
I got the same issues
I tried this and now it works okay
There is an system app called Security, open it up and add apps to the white list (top-right small button, looks like a padlock)
Apps in this list will not be turn off and will receive notification normally.
Also, I found another solution, but haven't tried it yet
Maybe you can if the above solution doesn't work
Maybe you can try to install "Disable Doze" app below to see any effect:
