Okay so I installed the latest rr nightly and realised that my earphones, mic and speakers arent working . Neither can I make phone calls and reciece them.
I reverted back to miui forchecking the hardware for mic and it failed and exited the check. Same for call.
My model is :
Redmi note 3 16gb/2gb variant
Miui 6.12.22
Can anyone help??

You need to flash CM13 firmware file if you are flashing custom rom based on CM13 and if you are flashing custom rom based on CM14 than you have to flash Cm14 firmware file. If you want to revert back from custom Rom to MIUI Rom than you have to clean flash MIUI Rom via EDL mode. Hope this helps you. Do let me know if you need any help.

i always clean flash miui roms via fastboot. And as for the custom roms, i flash the firmwares too. Dont know whats the issue

Hello guys, I was on latest dev ROM 6.9.9 and I flashed cm 13 and noticed that sims weren't working, so I switched to an older version of MIUI same problem there as well and the sim now only works with 6.9.9 build can someone help me?
after you reverted back from miui MM to miui LP, i guess the modem file got corrupted. Happened with me too, so just flash a miui LP recovery zip (any) just to replace the modem file.
so it will be like Miui MM -> Miui LP (fastboot) -> Unlock & TWRP -> Miui LP (recovery zip).
Didn't work for me even though I did a miui LP flash.
Any help?
take out the NON-HLOS.bin file from beta rom... and falsh it via fastboot. "fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin"
I had the same issue. Flashing the cm13-radios.zip in twrp solved it. Link given below

So, I am on MIUI Global Stable rom(5.1) but flashed the modem of Chinese developer rom(6.0). Better to swich to stable roms modem?

i have miui 8 lolipop rooted and twrp. now i want go to miui 8 marshmallow with official recovery zip file. what can i do to not locking bootloader again and get rooted ?
if i change boot.img from new downloaded rom with kitchen that will work ? or needs do more other works ?

Why rush to Marshmallow?
But, if you want to flash it, there is a thread on MIUI forum for Marshmallow Kate ( bootloader unlock, TWRP and root ).
My suggestion would be to wait for a while, and see how the situation with MM works out. No need to rush. It's not that you REALLY NEED Marshmallow in your life.
And whats wrong with MM?
my china dev 6.11.3 is stable and smooth, also inbuilt root
you need cofface or ZCX twrp to flash official ROMs without patch.
also if you have official unlocked BL then you can unlock it as many times you want/need on dev rom.
i suggest china dev, china firmware is better imo and I have tried all 4 variants for kenzo.
you can also flash it through miflash with fastboot ROM, thats how I do it, I got bootloop few times when flashing recovery and I used cofface twrp...

I am currently using NOS rom and The Strix firmware mentioned in the official LOS 14.1 thread. But I am having various signal problems with the firmware and any other firmware does not work with nougat roms.
So, I just want to flash the rom so as to have the latest firmware and a marshmallow bootloader and be able to flash Nougat roms without any hiccups..!
Can anyone help me?
P.S i think that I have to simply flash the rom with supersu and lazy patcher in the twrp recovery, after clearing the data. But, I am not sure.

You flash the latest global dev rom in fastboot, using Miflash.
I unlocked the phone officially from a stable marshmallow build.I had signal before flashing any rom.I took a full twrp backup of all partitions and proceeded to flash a firmware for kenzo from the strix given in the lineage os post and then the lineage os rom.After that I am not receiving any mobile/sim signal on any roms.I tried reflashing the latest miui both stable and dev roms for kenzo and that also didn't make any difference.I also tried flashing miui kate dev rom and that also didn't make a difference.Someone please help.

We all know that Redmi 5A(riva) officially shifted with Android Nougat and it got good development with various custom roms. Later riva got Android Oreo update and users who were flashing custom rom at the top of oreo firmware was facing bootloop or several issues if it boots.
To prevent such issues, i enforced Nougat Firmware V10.1.1.0.NCKMIFI and it will be necessary to flash that firmware before flashing the rom (once only) else it will show error. Currently, Lineage OS 16.0 comes with enforced firmware and upcoming rom will have that too!
Note : Users who are on MIUI Oreo and if they want to rollback to nougat firmware for flashing custom rom, they are required to flash nougat fastboot rom or follow this post .

Just flashing nougat fw from recovery won't work, flash is from miflash tool or follow the post and if you want to upgrade it to oreo fw then you can directly flash from recovery or flash from miflash tool.

am already on nougat firmware, now i'm use your los-17.1, and i want to be back to miui oreo, i have installed oreo firmware and oreo recovery, but when i flash the miui global oreo, it stuck on setup and boot back to recovery.
