I'm on the China dev ROM and the time stays set OK. I have it set it to GMT +0000 time under settings and 'automatic time zone' and 'automatic date and time'. You should be able to set it to manual and it shouldn't change itself if it's giving problems.

Yeah i tried that too... though not on the china dev rom...
But it resets after a few minutes...
That's really weird, as I have used China, Global dev and stable, EU and MultiRom on my Note 4 and have not had this problem.
Settings are currently
Timezones set as GMT
Network Timezones - On
I turned off the network updates... seemed to have worked for now...
Still annoying.

Seems a bit strange bug but you could either update or try this?

Hey guys!
Ever since I upgraded my radio to 3.27 whenever I visit google via pie it is in german, once in spanish. From google.com to query results. Sometimes a soft reset seems to fix it. sometimes it doesn't. I have recently downgraded back to the 2.17 rom and subsequent radio version but still have the error from tim to time. I am dumbfounded.
I have the same thing, I have searched everywhere in the phone and can't figure out how to change it.
I first noticed this problem on my Sprint Touch, with a stock rom. I have had it happen at random on my Mogul while using the stock rom and custom roms. To get it back to English real quick, learn to read German lol:
If you scroll all the way down to the bottom of the main google page you will see three links. Pick the one called "Einstellungen". On the next page you will see a selection box that has Deutsch, change that to "Englisch". Then scroll down till you see the greenish box that says Speichern, click it. You'll be back to English . Until it switches again.
After upgrading to 2.3.2 (I think that was when it happened), www.google.com came up in Spanish the first time I went to it. It's been normal since then though.
I believe this is a result of the IP address you're getting from Sprint, or at least one of the servers Sprint it routing us through, being from a different country. When google.com/m comes up in a different language for me, I try running speedtest.net which indicates that my nearest speedtest server is in Mexico or Germany or... I haven't really taken the time to figure out exactly what's going on since a disconnect/reconnect almost always gets me back to a local server.
Cliced the "englegluken" button at the bottom and all is well. Thanks!
So have we figured it out? has anyone had this issue WITHOUT upgrading the rom?
My phone has been working fine all day and I just looked down at noticed the location it had was Vilnius and the time was 4:30AM. I did a reboot and even turned on GPS for handling the location and didn't fix anything. When I went into the time zone configuration it has New York, NY as my "Home" which is the closest major city to me yet it says I'm currently in Vilnius. And now it just switched to the correct location but has it being 5/12 at 4:44AM.
I just manually adjusted the time and now I'm back to being in Vilnius. The time on the HTC widget shows 4:47AM while the time on the system bar at the top says 9:47PM.
Turned off the manual time and now it went back to the correct time/date. I'm so damn confused right now.
Has this or is this happening to anyone else?
Happened to me and my wife both back in Dec. or Jan. We were on 1.5.
Are you on 1.5 or 2.1? Because we have had no problems since updating to 2.1 root.
2.1 from the how to in the dev forum

People in here have the same experience:
http://androidforums.com/htc-droid-eris/20348-eris-google-maps-my-location.html
My phone says I'm in Xuzhou, China whenever I'm in Tustin, California. And it's not just the weather/maps; it's the clock in the notification bar too.
Thanks for the help. I guess I'll wait and see what happens when the OTA hits my phone.
From my experiences with this bug, it's related to the cell tower, not the phone. I tested with three different Erises, on three different versions of the software, simultaneously.
Me too...
I have the OTA 2.1, and now my Eris is showing Vilnius as my location.
I was having a few buggy issues, so I did a factory reset this morning. The Vilnius thing happened tonight, and no matter what I do, it comes back. I've tried clearing my cache on the weather app, switching location on/off, changing my clock app settings, etc.
If I go to Settings/Date&time then uncheck and recheck the "Automatic - Use network-provided values" box, it will go to the correct time for a bit. So far it has changed back every time.
Grrr....
Mine eventually sorted itself out but I had to do the manual time/location management for a few days.
I have an HD2 that I purchased from O2 Ireland. I switched to 3 Ireland about two months ago due to an unlimited data deal. I just changed sim cards and everything worked; phone, data, wifi.
I flashed the latest stock rom 3.14.206.1(04666)WWE that would work with my phone. It's the stock rom for the O2 HD2. Since flashing, I cannot get a data connection. The phone works fine so I know the phone isn't locked to O2, but when I go to Connection Settings, the only choice in the drop down menu is O2!
Is there any way to bypass this so that I can set the phone up automatically to three? Is there perhaps some other work around. Imagine, an unlimited data plan and I can't use it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

First, I gotta ask: You are in Ireland but your flag shows US?
I found some settings here, they are for a different device, but may help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-315848.html
Search for (its on these forums in several places, I've posted it myself before now, but i'm afk) connectionsetup.cab, or extract one from the unbranded 3,14 rom if you know your way around a kitchen.
It has pretty much all the networks in it. You can uninstal it after its done its thing to save 12 or so meg.
Install it, reboot, it will auto run, uninstal it.

The answer is quite simple; living in Ireland, born and raised in Brooklyn.
Thanks for the settings, now if I can just figure out how to get my Leo to take the settings.

Thanks very much for that. I found an HTC connectionsetup.cab and installed it on my phone for the 3 network Ireland, excellent!
BUT! When I open Opera I just get a white screen, nothing comes up, I can't even get a search page. I tried opening Marketplace and the error message came that it couldn't connect to the server. Any ideas please?
Edit: Problem solved thanks to you both! Since running connectionsetup (samsamuel) I was able to put in the 3 network settings (stevedebi) manually. I've even got the mms settings in and tested. Many thanks to you both! How I love this forum!
Actually I'm in Idaho but my phone sporadically thinks I'm in Nakahira, Japan. It happens numerous times a day. I'll pick up my phone and the time and location are set for Japan. I'll open Google maps and it's also in Japan. My GPS is always on and my phone is stock unrooted. Anybody else experience anything like this or have an explanation?

Did you go into the "date and time" section of system settings and munipulate that?
Nope. Both are set to use network provided date, time and time zone.

If the network predicts you are in Japan, you should manually put in the location information.. If that doesn't work, try a factory data reset
I get strange locations sometimes. I'm in the UK and today it geo-located me as being in Mexico but I've noticed at other times its locating me at strange places all over the world.
I've been facing this weird issue on OxygenOS that my OPX isn't showing the right time zone. I'm (GMT +7) and it'd always show (GMT +8). I could simply turn automatic off and set my time zone right, but then I can't login to my Snapchat:crying:.
Before the issue happen though, I was jumping from MoKee ROM to OOS (which has my suspicions on) for the first time.
Been searching the web but nothing. Any help? Is there any way to force time zone through root? Thanks!
p.s. I've tried all of OOS build from the first build ever (which is a specific Indonesia build) and the issue still persist.
Not sure this help.
Go to twrp and set your time to gmt +7
