Hey guys,
I am using the Stock Andoid N ROM. (850)
I deinstalled the system google app for some reason, and installed google from the playstore.
Now the google screen search is all greyed out (settings in the google application). So I can't enable it - tried cache clear and app reset already. (Just so you know what I am talking about - it's the function when you long press the home button).
Any guess what I could do?
Maybe re-install the system version of the google app. Can anyone guide me how to do that? Don't want do flash the kdz again and setup all apps and settings again.
Could I extract some folder from the 850 20a zip file and copy it to system or something?

[Q] Can not install certain apps? (not compatible with "Malata GTablet-TNT-Lite)??
I installed the market fix after installing TNT Lite 4.4 and everything seems to be ok. I could not find or install 'LauncherPro' until I went directly to the website.
I can not find 'Dolphin HD Browser' when I search in the market place (although I see other Dolphin related items). I went to the Dolphin website and clicked download and the marketplace told me the location was invalid.
What the heck is going on?
Thanks!
Same here - the Dolphin HD is not listed in the marked place for my device. And it won't "Install" if I cancel the "filter by device" in Windos.
I figured it out (I guess)... I had to perform the following steps again for some reason:
1) Go into Settings - Applications - Manage Applications - Market - Clear CACHE - Force Stop
(For TnT/TnT Lite... Settings - Applications - System Applications)
2) Press back once - Google Services Framework - Clear DATA - Force Stop
3) Go back to your home screen and open up the market. You should get an error. If not, redo steps 4 and 5 until you do.
4) Reboot your device. After it starts back up let it sit for a minute or two to let things in the operating system normalize. Open the Market. Reboot your device.
I actually did not reboot again as stated in step 4 because I opened the market and it worked no problem.
If anyone could explain this it would be great.
I did that "marketplace fix" before I posted and nothing... I guess I will try one more time.
LE: It worked! Yahoo! Messenger was missing too...
I've done the fix multiple times and still can't see Dolphin when I search the market. I actually side loaded it and it still doesn't show up. ideas? One thing I haven't tried is messing with the market updater service, as I haven't seen any othe threads say anything about this.
Hi
I am using Go Launcher.
Recently .. I have rooted my phone and had removed voice search of Google which comes Pre installed .After that I have reinstalled it and moved the app to Memory Card.
From then i think once r twice Go Launcher also updated ..So i m not sure when and what caused this issue ..when i checked today search button is not working at Home Screen only(means it is working in Browser n other applications).
I have tried moving back voice search app to phone and resetting default values of Home launcher but it didn't worked .:-confused:
Is it the go launcher issue ??Please give some tips such that it works as earlier
Few tips from me, don't know if they'll work, but worth trying
1. Donwload Gemini App Manager, go into expert mode and find the google voice search google...try to modify the autostart options...
2. Try to reflash the stock rom (providing you're now using stock) with kdz updater. It should preserve your apps and settings (but do a backup 1st).

1. Install the LG drivers
2. Disable LG modem from Device manager
3. Download KDZ updater
a)Install msxml.msi from the uncompressed directory
4. Download your firmware kdz file
5. Conect your device (do not turn on disk storage) and run KDZ_FW_UPD.exe
a) In "Type" choose "3GQCT"
b) In "PhoneMode" choose DIAG
c) Browse for the KDZ file in the field "KDZ file"
d. Press "Launch software update"

After flashing to TNT Lite 4.20 I now have to clear an error message every time I boot my G Tab. It says "Sorry! The application Google Partner Setup (process.com.google..android.partnership) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."
A Force Close is required to clear it, or else it messes with email (and maybe other stuff).
Questions:
- I've located this in /system/app using iFileManager and it's an apk file ... can it be safely deleted?
- How do I delete it? I'm not familiar with iFilemanager, and don't see a "delete" option. Can I delete it with CWD or Titanium Backup?
Thanks!

I know this has come up before, but all I find is other people asking my same question:
Can I safely delete the Google Partner Setup apk from my system/app folder?
It's not loading (requires a FC for the tablet to boot), but I'm still reluctant to remove anything from the system directory in case it's required somehow.
Help???

Google Partner Setup is used (at least) by the browser. You could try disabling it using Autorun Manager from Market instead of deleting the .apk file. Be warned that doing so on my system caused the browser to exit without warnings on quite few sites--those that have Google Ads are esp. problemmatic.
My advice is to first go to Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > select "All", find "Google Partner Setup" and then "Clear data". If that doesn't work, get into ClockworkMod and there do a "wipe data/factory reset" (and also possibly a "wipe cache partition").
Thanks Raj. I'll give it a try.

I have used Titanium Backup Pro to Fix market link for few apps which I manually installed on my SGS2. Now Android Market shows that updates are available for these apps.
But when I try to update it with an error message.
Is it possible to update such apps?
If not, can I remove these apps from android market's installed app list?
Thanks

After fixing market links, the update should work.
Have you tried to clear app cache (in Settings menu => Applications => Manage applications => ... (find your apps) => Clear cache) and/or app data (in Settings menu => Applications => Manage applications => ... (find your apps) => Clear data)?
Maybe it helps.
If not, then try to wipe cache partition in recovery mode (Volume UP + Home + Power, and hold the keys pressed until recovery menu appears => Choose to wipe cache partition, then reboot the phone).
If that does not help either, Titanium Backup has the feature to detach/un-link the app from the Market.
Just start Titanium Backup and click on the tab for backup&restore, then long click on your app and choose the detach/un-link from Market action.
(It may have another name in your language, as I am using German.)
Good luck !
Backup data for affected apps, uninstall them, reinstall from Market, restore data.
note if you have NOT BOUGHT some of these PAID apps from the market you will NOT be able to update them through the market in the normal way ....remember bought apps are linked to your Gmail acct ETC
Hello everyone,
I have a Lenono A806. The device was rooted and I downloaded an root uninstaller from the Play store to uninstall some apps that I couldn't otherwise.
In the process, among other apps, I deleted the only launcher I had on the phone (Lenovo Launcher) and I might have deleted the APK (not sure about the APK). The result was a black screen without any apps.
When turn on the phone I can see the home screen (same one you see before you unlock keyboard) and I also have some of the functionalities (eg messages, can make calls etc). However if I open one of these functionalities and I click on the "back" button, the screen goes completely black and the phone goes unresponsive. I tried to reset factory settings by holding the Volume Up + Down + On/Off button which opened the "Lenovo Recovery" screen and I choosing the "wipe user data (both fuse format and fuse wipe data). I also tried he install update package option and I rebooted the phone. Nothing of those worked.
Could anyone direct me towards the right way?
Thanks in advance,
Ilias
Sideload a 3rd party launcher via adb.
Try install any launcher using pc or using recovery.

if ...
you can access your file manager then I would suggest obtaining a launcher apk, putting it on your sdcad and then installing it from there via file manager. I like ADW very much - it can be had from here:
