I have a Pioneer XDP-100R (hi-res music player) running android 5.1. I tried to root with SuperSU. At the end it asked to reboot my device. Now it's stuck on the android boot logo.
I can access the recovery menu (next track + power). A message is displayed: "E:Can't open /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by_name/misc (permission denied)".
If I choose Wipe Data/factory reset, I get:
-- Wiping data...
Formatting /data...
Formatting /cache...
Data wipe complete.
"E:Can't open /dev/block/platform/msm_sdcc.1/by_name/misc (permission denied)".
I get pretty much the same when I try to "wipe cache partition".
None of the two actually make a difference.
Previous track + power is supposed to get me to the fastboot menu but it's stuck on the linux logo.
I had made a backup with adb beforehands but I can't restore it. adb won't see my device unless I select the option "apply updates from adb", but in that case, the only command it accepts is adb sideload.
I have not installed a custom recovery as my device is too rare. I never managed to find a stock rom or custom rom for my device so I can't even flash another one.
Has anyone any clue?
I couldn't find any solution anywhere. I had to return it...
Thanks you very much
Here's a Headfi thread on how to root your DAP and install a custom ROM:

Hi,
I have been using illusion rom with android 4.3 on my i777 it has cwm based recovery 6.0.3.4.
In order to flas a different rom when I started the device in recovery and did wipe date, wipe cache, wipe dalvik and format system and tried to install zip from SD but I started getting this error " E:Cant mount /sdcard/". Now when I tried to reboot it I get stuck in boot loader.
My device is able to go into download mode
Is there any way around to fix this problem?
Thanks a lot
Hi
I'm trying to install WinKat via TWRP, but everytime that I try to wipe data, the "Unable to mount cache" error appears. I tried to install without wiping everything, but the phone got stuck in the boot screen.
Please help, I'm using TWRP for phones made after July 2014 (Brazil).
Thank you.
Well I manage to install CM13 on my LG G2 mini D610 but TWRP was deleted for some reason, so tried to insall it (using a not compatible version of TWRP) and get into fastboot, fixed fastboot with Minimal ADB and Fastboot, and now my phono turn on but it only get me to stock recovery.
Tried to install the kdz using LG Flash Tool 2014 but it get stuck at 2% and show me a message telling me to try again, using W10 tried on a W7, same error.
I think my only option is to use the stock recovery, only have this options:
-reboot system
-apply update from external sdcard (E: failed to mount /sdcard (invalid argument), Format the sd several times, and the error persists).
-apply update from cache (nothing useful actually)
-apply update from ADB (only get "USB device not found" and don't show device IDs)
-wipe data/factory reset (still reboot to stock recovery)
-wipe cache partition (still reboot to stock recovery)
Hi All,
Having some issues with my V30 H930.
I've unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP and had Pixel Experience running nicely.
Last night I decided to change the ROM to Potato Open Sauce Project, so I rebooted to recovery, performed a factory reset and then proceeded to install the latest POSP ROM and OpenGapps Mini.
After installing, I tried to reboot to system but instead, it just booted back into TWRP.
I then attempted to factory reset and install both zip's again. Same result, could only boot back to TWRP (No fastboot or normal boot).
Now nothing will install on the phone.
I found several threads that advise to try repairing Data or to change Data's format to F2Fs then EXT4. When trying this, I get the following messages:
Failed to mount '/system' (No such device)
Failed to mount '/data' (Device or resource busy)
Failed to mount '/cache' (No such device)
Unable to mount storage
I have tried rebooting to recovery multiple times and doesn't help.
Does anyone know what the best way to resolve this is?
I was considering letting the battery die and then try to boot into fastboot and attempted to reinstall stock software with LG UP but not sure if that will work or not. The phone is currently on 100% battery, so it'll be a while before I can test this.

Hi, I'm new and have a problem of my own doing.
I loaded the recovery mode and attempted to load TWRP without knowing how to activate Fastboot. Unfortunately, I had wiped the cache partition and rebooted the phone.
It resulted in kicking itself into recovery after a failed boot-up into android, as string of E: can't mount /cache showed. I tried to wipe data/facctory reset and try again but I'm stuck.
If anyone has a possible solution/suggestion, I'm open to do it.
