I'm on rooted Nougat 7.0 with Rogers firmware flashed and stock (no rom) . I've edited build.prop in /system and changed qemu.hw.mainkeys=0 to =1 in order to remove the on screen nav keys and it didn't work. I've tried adding it to the end of the file as well and didn't work either. The program I used was Solid Explorer with root permissions and I've made sure it saved correctly and has -rw-r--r-- properties
Is there a 2nd build.prop file on this phone? I don't think it's reading from that file...
I can't be the only one trying this. No one else has attempted to remove the ugly navbar? Or just edit their build.prop?

Other navigation options are available. Such as LMT Launcher and Pie Control

Understood. Moto Z ROM seems to have a lot of strange "locks" as I've already reported...
@Out Of Code android has an immersive mode you might be able to leverage to get what you want. The app Tiles has a quick tile you can use to turn off the status bar, navigation bar, or both.

+1 for that...
Some apps with tablet mode would be very useful. I know SGS2 has some tablet UI apps (like phonebook), which is great.
since no one care about this crazy request for a month..
so I'd decided to give it a try:-
1- all res/value and res/xml combined
2- and get this error on apktool (attached image)
*error came on compile progress *
apktool b XXXX

Since we have finally gotten root, suggest all your root apps here.
I personally installed "ultimate dynamic navbar" right away, which not only got rid of that ugly have bar but also autohides it for more screen estate

I tried installing the module, but it won't hide the stock soft keys through xposed's safe setting. I had to use the build, dangerous, method to kinda get it to work, and now it only hides the soft keys while in apps, but they are still there while you're looking at the launcher and not in any app. So how did you get it to work.
You guys must know about this; if not, I suggest Greenify.
I use a two-finger swipe up gesture in Nova to auto-hibernate stuff.
Try auto hide softkeys app

Try the GMD Auto Hide softkeys APK in the play store
I bought the pro version because its more customization. Had it for a week now and its's worked flawless.

yeah but like what would I search (thanks for the suggestion)
Try searching for the text you're supposed to change.
BUT, rather than completely turning off thermal throttling, I would recommend this approach:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/thermal-mod-t2907363
No chance you'll melt down your G3 this way.

Use shortcut master lite that should work fine.
Ok, but is there a way to get the full menu? Like I want to have access to the full menu like every single option not just the ones for the termal mod.
Or can someone post screen shots so I do know what to search for
Curious also I need to see it also to turn off otas

It depends due to your launcher. Some have the option to remove it some haven't. For what I'm seeing you are using the Google launcher (flashed full or near to full gapps?) If so you have to change launcher because AFAIK Google launcher haven't the option to remove bottom bar.

Which launcher would you recommend to me?

I use lawnchair (it as the bottom search bar but "I THINK" that you can remove it) in any case is free so why not try and see if in the launcher option there is the possibility to remove it yourself. Other than that there are a lot of launcher so just try a bunch and see what is right for you.
That's IT ??
Thank you @ParanoidNemo
