Don't worry, reboot the phone. Everything is OK. I also had this message but it seems it doesn't matter.

Dear @sachin n,
I recently installed @abhishek987 official LOS 14.1 (unlocked bootloader, flashed latest global developer, flashed twrp, installed LOS 14.1) on my and two of my friend’s Redmi Note 4 (mido) but in all 3 cases I ended up with an encrypted phone. I decrypted my mido doing following steps: started twrp, mount, checked all partitions, wipe, format data, typed in YES. But when I reflashed LOS 14.1. there were some problems with “failure to install xxx partition” (can’t remember anymore what exactly). I guess because I checked ALL partitions.
Now the questions:
1. If I leave the phone encrypted, is there a limitation in the functionality of the phone?
2. Does encryption present a problem with future clean or dirty ROM installations?
3. What is the right way to decrypt the phone. I guess start twrp, mount, check partitions (question is: which partitions exactly have to be checked!), wipe, format data, typed in YES.
Thanks a lot.

Alright, not gonna answer any of your questions until you decrypt it.
The easiest way is to FORMAT data via TWRP.
Just to make sure, boot to TWRP > wipe > tap FORMAT not the wipe!!! I mean, FORMAT! Then choose yes to format, boot up. You're now decrypted. Note that you'll lose your all Data. So, make a backup.
Done? If you're done, next time you setup fingerprint, it'll prompt to enter password everytime you boot, just click on "No thanks". That's all.

Thanks for the answer and the tipp but prior to posting this thread I had already decrypted my phone mido doing following steps: started twrp, mount, checked all partitions, wipe, format data, typed in YES.
I would be very greatfull if you can answer me these questions:

1. Not really afaik.
2. Nope, it isn't. But it's a pain in ass to enter password everytime you boot into system / twrp. So, most of the users doesn't really like the encryption.
3. Ah, as I already said, just boot to TWRP > choose wipe > tap FORMAT on the right bottom and next type yes to format. No need to check anything. :good:

Actually when the device is encrypted you can just choose to start without entering the PIN/Password, just like when the phone is decrypted.
On devices that have SOCs which have hardware decryption embedded, like the SD 625 does, it doesn't really makes sense to decrypt the device as there's no real performance penalty.
@sachin n i flashed LOS 14.1 for d first tym i.e swiching frm MIUI for d first tym....when i move to settings>security it shows me encrypted. I tried to flash LOS 15 and it asked me password i entered it and it said "password is correct but failed to decrypt please format you data". now my Q is
1- why did it happened?
2-Will i have to format data? Is this the only way?
3- If i do so and again flash any other ROM e.g LOS15 will it happen again?
4- Do this happens with every Xiaomi users?

[/COLOR @sachin n remember: my TWRP is normal i.e it nvr asks me for any type of password. It had once when i had set lock screen password (it was the first bootup after switching from MIUI) with secure boot
and when i tried to enter in TWRP it asked for password which i entered i had on my lock screen and it said password incorrect...This problem vanished when i removed the lock screen password.

Oh yeah, the password or the "default_password" doesn't works, so all you've to do is to format data using TWRP, that's gonna decrypt your phone.

Cuz when you're coming from MIUI you should do format data, that happens to everyone who wanna get rid of encryption.

Nope, it won't happen again. The tip is to don't setup any fingerprint at the setup wizard(at the first boot). Set it up later.

Yes you can, but as long as it's encrypted you must format it to get rid of it. :silly:

After you format the device, is it possible to restore backups made by Titanium Backup? If you make a backup move it to the computer and then move it back on the phone? Or will it be encrypted and unusable?

It will work just fine.
I heard that I can force encryption and dm-verity disabled by Magisk. How can I do that?
Thank you!

System doesn't start but yes i can go in fastboot mod. I have a recovery stock i found on internet but it doesnt work perfectly. But i can reinstall twrp. I used A LOT of files with dload or HWOTA8 and it failed everytime.
So:
download this:
https://mega.nz/#F!Yt8EDQ6S!6vl70iHvwCf4QlPbrN3cTQ
this is valid stock recovery oreo
put in "HWOTA8" directory in ext SD those files and those files too:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1AUCN8e1gE6TIvem69YAy_sTGFsvoLorT
important: sd card have to fomrmatted in exFAT mode!!!!!
install a TWRP on phone
2 On the phone, hold down togheter the +volume key and the power key
3 The phone will reboot into the TWRP recovery
4 In TWRP, find the hwota8 folder on the SD card and flash the "hwota8_update.zip"
5 The phone will reboot into the stock recovery and it will install the firmware
++++++ IMPORTANT ! !! !!++++++
After installing the firmware you need to boot into the recovery and make a full wipe!
let me know what happening
I have already tried the HWOTA8 way but maybe it was bad files, i will retry with those files ! Thanks

HI there, total newbie here. Looked around here and on google but didn't find a solution.
I'm following various step by step guides to install Android Pie on my Poco F1 but I get stuck once the phone boots up in TWRP and asks me password, I cancel and try to install but when I press install the zip files that I have saved on the phone internal storage are not there (Magisk and Disable Force Encryption Treble). ANyone has a similar problem?
Used a different Twrp to root my S8 and didn't have any problem seein the zip files saved in the phone internal storage.
Can someone help please?
THanks a lot,
MAnuel

1) Flash back stable miui rom.
2) setup as usual and DONT PUT ANY LOCKSCREEN on it.
3) install twrp recovery with description support.
4) flash disable force encryption. format data , and reboot recovery again.
5) install magisk.

download at here . find the decrytion support version recovery from @CosmicDan
https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/how-to/xiaomi-poco-f1-unlock-bootloader-custom-t3839405
next flash disable force enryption and format your data. then press reboot and select reboot recovery.

I didn't do the decryption supported one. The correct and original link for the working TWRP is https://forum.xda-developers.com/poco-f1/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-3-decryption-t3853004
So i just got a Realme 3 Pro on A.19 firmware, after getting into a softbrick managed to install TWRP with Magisk and disabled vbmeta verity. Also flashed red flashing systemui fix and Charlie_Decryption_by_Nitish.zip (not sure what its for). So the phone is rooted, recovery is working and everything works fine except when i try to set up a Fingerprint it wont work. Not just fingerprint, i set a 4 digit or 8 digit PIN code and at the lockscreen keep trying that PIN but it wont open. I have to kill the lockscreen files from recovery after that.
I can understand if the Fingerprint is broken after unlocking bootloader / rooting but atleast PIN / Pattern should work? Did i miss something?

Why would you flash decryption zip? Now flash enable decryption zip & format data (not wipe) then you can use lockscreen again. Also never flash decryption zip.
