Anyone here managed to make Magisk work on our device? If Yes, what ROM, kernel and methods you've used to make it work (Including SafetyNet Verification). Thanks in advance!
I had managed to bring it (Magisk v9) to work by using Advanced Stock Kernel by @Gustavo RD78, then flash stock-based ROM, phh's SuperUser and then Systemless Xposed v86.7. It worked but I am not sure about SafetyNet...

Thank you for your reply. Yah I have managed to make it work but in Magisk v10.2 Safety Net validation fails (CTS mismatch)
It looks like that Google have updated their CTS. Hmm Let's wait then..
Anyway, I am also using Advanced Stocked Kernel (with systemless support) and I am on eXistenZ 6.0.

Someone earlier have found out that if SafetyNet has to be passed on Xperia devices, UBL or LBL is both okay, but most importantly it need an untouched /system, no root, no Xposed. Just the stock system.

Hey man works great! Your Xposed link is broken though. Keep up the good work!
As an aside you can flash the Xposed framework zip through flashfire and use XDA Labs and it'll work fine without the Xposed Installer

Thanks for feedback!
Tried to flash it with the indicated procedure above (after unlocking the bootloader).
I'm stuck in the white screen with the Xperia logo changing colors. Any ideas?
Edit: never mind, my bad. I flashed this in .292, that generated the error. Flashed the entire .301 with flashtool, then flashed this and now it works.

Any news for the Nougat?
No rush for me, I'm still waiting for Xposed for N. But I was curious.
Oh also, SuperSu keeps on trying to update binaries, tried to flash the latest with flashfire but nothing. No biggie, root access still works as usual .

since su is embedded in the kernel, you should not have UPDATED it from 2.78 to 2.82r5 from playstore, it wont update binaries! but su will still work
if you are on LATEST build / 34.3.A.0.252 / Android 7.1.1 (N) then you may consider flashing the following kernel.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-x/how-to/root-xperia-x-f5122-android-n-34-2-2-47-t3594502
it doesn't have any Root Guard and hance you after flashing (recovery) TWRP you may flash any of the following from twrp
1. superSU or
2. Magisk or
3. SuperUserr259

Update: NFC payments has been fixed in Los 17.1 (and probably in all other ROMs) so this module is no longer required.
As far as I know out of all the Android 10 roms only NOS and now (based on NOS) the two PE roms support NFC tap and pay using Google Pay.
I've created a Magisk module that adds the NFC files from these working roms which should make tap and pay work on other roms (I'm using it on Los 17.1).
The nice thing about Magisk modules is that they don't touch the system partition, they survive dirty flashing, and can easily be removed either with Magisk Manager or by deleting the relevant folder under /data/adb/modules
I've attached the module (flash it in TWRP; don't try to install it using Magisk Manager).
Note: requires Magisk 20.2 or later.
Thanks to @xyyx, @PlayFriik, and @Gaurav24

Yes, you have to have Magisk installed and then flash this module.
Fyi, ROMs that are based on Los should no longer need this module because NFC is now fixed in Los.

FWIW, definitely don't flash this on top of an LOS ROM; caused a bootloop for me that I couldn't get out of, had to clean wipe and start over. My own darn fault for not reading everything through the first time or making a backup first, just a warning for others :silly:
