Hey Guys
So i recently upgraded my Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge G925F to Marshmallow via Odin because the OTA update wasnt there.
After upgrading i got three OTA update one of 560 mb second 58 mb and 3rd 28 mb i am not sure about the figures after the three OTA updates my two soft keys i.e back and recent apps will stop working for sometime and start working again after a minute or so i know its not a hardware issue because they perform fine in the self test and i have also tried *#2663# and it passed the update secondly the buttons also start working if i restart the phone or lock the screen and unlock it again that makes me sure that its not a hardware problem but whatever it is please give me a fix for this because its really annoying.
Cheers

Hello, Hopefully some one is still checking this forum that can help me. I got a DNA with CM 11 on it, while I wait for the first Verizon snapdragon 820 with SD card, as my LG G2 started failing miserably (dead spots in screen and no loger connects to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth)
I wanted to clear it out and to go to a 5.x.x ROM. so I made my backups and went to the 5.1 google play edition ROM and fastboot-ed the latest firmware as instructed in the post. at first the capacitive navigation buttons seem to work, but in about half a day they become flaky and sometimes work and sometimes don't. whatever app I am in at the time seems to work fine, just can't exit without the nav keys unless I reboot or force another app to open from the lock screen. I have also tried a 5.0.1 and and now on a stock ODEX debloat 4.4.2 all with the exact same issue. I use TWRP and do a factory reset in TWRP before each flash. How is this issue following the flashing of each ROM? Any one have any ideas for me to try?
Thank you
Hello.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500. I got it about 2 years ago. About a year after purchase I rooted the phone to install a backup software, but I did not know that rooting would disable software updates and when I found out that S4 had gotten the Lolipop update but my phone wouldn't show anything for two months, I decided to install the "original" Lolipop from Samsung. I found it on a website which I do not remember anymore.
Well here's where the problem starts - Apparently my phone was from Korea and it was imported to India. As a result of me installing an OS made for India on a Korean phone, the SIM wouldn't work and the OS ran very crappily. I got the SIM unlocked by an operator but the OS just sucks really bad. It gets stuck very often, apps close randomly and they behave as if they have been relaunched every 5-10 mins. Sometimes if I'm playing music the player will stop mid-track and I have to press play again. The menu and homescreen also do the same thing, keep behaving as if they have been relaunched every few minutes or every time I unlock the screen.
Any idea what I can do to fix my phone? I'm ready to go back to a previous version of android if that means a smooth, non-annoying experience.
Check your actual version of the stock rom from sammobile.com. Download the correct stock rom and re flash through Odin
Thanks, but I just ended up installing CyanogenMod and gotta say I'm more than happy with it :3
Hi guys, I have a very irritating issue with my international Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F) and hopefully someone could help me fixing it.
I'm experiencing frequent lockups mostly when trying to wake up/unlock the phone. The device becomes totally unresponsive to screen or home, back, window button taps and eventually after lots of tries it comes back to life and behaves as normal. The problem becomes way less frequent (almost disappears) if I connect it to a charger.
What I tried up to now with no luck fixing the problem is:
Disabled all the TouchWiz smart features, location services, wifi and radio broadcasts, rotation, nfc, sound, bluetooth, fingerprint scanner,
Checked all the sensors from the *#0*# menu and they seem fine,
Flashed through Odin, Smart Switch, TWRP official and custom roms (5.1.1, 6.0.1),
Tried rooted and non-rooted roms,
Tried odin's NAND erase all option and repartioned the phone using the ZEROLTE_EUR_OPEN.pit file,
Wiped the persistent partitions (sda11, 13) using the ADB commands dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sda11, dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/sda13, which however gave me:
dd: /dev/block/sda11 (sda13): No space left on device,
so I don't know if it was successful or not,
Updated (PASS) the TSP FW version from the *#2663# menu,
Opened the phone and powered it up after disconnecting all components apart from screen and battery,
Tried different battery.
Does anyone have a similar problem and knows how to fix it? Unfortunately, my device is out of warranty so I wouldn't like to visit a Samsung service centre.
I haven't tried alternative PIT files with hidden partitions of various sizes yet. Do you think that it will make any difference or, furthermore, is there a chance of further damaging my phone?
Could someone please with a similar device dial the *#2663# code and give me the following information? Phone's and part's TSP FW version, TSP threshold.
Is there a Phone's and Part's Touch key FW version available? In my phone I cannot see the Phone's, Part's Touch key FW version paragraph at all and I'm curious if this is related to the problem.
Looking forward for your tips! Thanks!

Hi mate, sorry to hear that.
Since it appears in both the flat and the edge version of the Galaxy s6, there is a similar thread in the flat galaxy s6 forum.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6/help/lockups-app-crashes-phone-freezes-t3346837
Keep an eye there too for future updates, because it seems more active.
I have got into a very strange problem, touch key lights and auto brightness of my galaxy s6 edge are not working, I have re-flashed the stock marshmallow rom many times, even before flash, factory rest it.
All the sensors are working perfectly in the test service menu. but respective functions are not working.
Then I downgraded from android 6 to 5 lollipop, and i lost the test service menu after it, now *#0*# not working even.
Then again upgraded to android 6 and still the service menu not working, And today i found that the audio jack is also malfunctioning, If i put the handsfree phone gets shutdown immediately or it dosent works. The songs plays in the loud speaker.
Roms downloaded from samfirmware.com .
Flashed using odin.
Sorry for the English.
Try flashing the modem and bootloader for your specific device, then go into recovery and do a manual factory reset and see how you go. Little weird for things to be doing that. You might have damaged your device fm with downgrading and upgrading
Im having exact same problem ?
Hello. You may think the thread is revising some of those in this forum, but i browsed a lot couldnt find proper answer for my issue.
My galaxy C5000 running on Android 8.0 now. 2 years i have been using it upgrading periodically from android 6. i never had issues with finger print before. The phone never rooted.
few month ago upgraded to android 8.0 was working well then another update came by samsung saying some kind of security and other update patches so i did it. i guess after that my phone started indicating popups fingerprint sensor not responding if you see it repeatedly restart the phone. i did several times sometimes worked sometimes not. then i did firmware installation and reset via odin which downloaded samsung official site as i know. after it worked for some days but now not responding. now sometimes fingerprint starts working by itself and the stops again. i cannot identify whether its a phsyical damage or software problem. now the questions are:
1) is it a software or a hardware problem?
2) can it be related to last security update pach (with the volume of up to 200 mb) which was after android 8.0 installation?
3) can reverse back to android 7 from android 8?
Thank you for your patience and help.
