Asus ZenWatch 2 won't connect to Nexus 6p - Asus ZenWatch 2

As the title says I just got a ZenWatch 2. My phone a nexus 6P pairs to it just fine, but will not connect over Bluetooth. I've factory reset the watch about 5 times trying to install Android wear before and after pairing watch. But no luck at all. Anyone have any ideas?

[Q] Bluetooth Scan Fail

I have been using a Logitech M555b with my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 for nearly a year with no problems. However 3 days ago the Note suddenly stopped picking up the M555b during a normal scan. The Note still picks up my bluetooth printer, Desktop PC, laptop, mobile phone, etc., but not my Logitech M555b. I have inserted new batteries into my M555b and have tried to pair it again with my Note several times a day over the last 3 days but the mouse is not picked up during a scan by the Note. Can anyone offer a solution or advice about this problem? Many thanks in advance.

How Is This Watch Suppose to Work?

I ordered my very first smartwatch from the UK Motorola website and thought I would jump on the bandwagon of the new mobile technology. I settled with the Moto 360 2 after the LG Urban 2 came off for hardware issues but I'm not totally satisfied how it works and whether I'm benefiting much. Now I don't know if this is a bug or whether this is how it connects but, when I turn the Bluetooth off on my phone it switches to WiFi as expected. However, as soon as I turn the WiFi off on the phone, the SmartWatch shows a cloud icon with a line going through it saying disconnected. What's weird is the in the watch's settings the Wi-Fi is clearly connected, but as soon as I cut the connection off from my phone whether it's Bluetooth or WiFi the watch can't work independently. Is this normal? I know its primarily a device to push notifications to your wrist but surely I can get more use our of this watch that that?

I think you're right, it should work without WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone enabled. I also have a new watch and have tried the steps you describe and it connects just fine.

Bluetooth quality issues when connected to more than one device.

Hello all,
I'm not sure where to start but I've been having the issue for quite some time and I'm sure there has to be a fix. I originally had an S6 Active paired with a Moto 360. I thought the speaker just had bad audio so I neglected to try and fix it. A couple years later, I'm on a Note 8 with a Gear S3 and having the same quality issue but the same speaker (Ion Explorer) so once again, I figured no big deal. Last December I bought a 2011 Ford Edge with the Sync 2 system. When I noticed it there, I knew something was going on. Factory reset everything and still had the issue. Had my wife connect her Note 8 and it sounded great! However, she only has one other device connected and it's a Fitbit Blaze that she doesn't wear always like I do my Gear, and sure enough she didn't have it on when we tried her phone. Two devices paired at once. As soon as I disconnect the Gear the quality instantly goes way up. Awesome! Found the culprit, but not the resolution. Is there ANY way to improve the audio quality while having both connected? It's not the worst thing in the world, but it's a definite nuisance to have to disconnect my Gear just to listen to music while I'm in the car. If it was only a little difference I wouldn't mind, but it's definitely a big gap between the two. And I always forget to pair the Gear back up until it's almost time to recharge. Any help with a fix would be greatly appreciated!

[PSA] Don't buy Huawei Watch GT to use it with Moto Z2 Play

It won't work as it should. Huawei is using some of their "innovative" methods of pairing the watch with the phone.
But in case of Moto Z2 Play, it does not want to reconnect automatically most of the times when connection drops because of out of BT range .
It does not even appear under Bluetooth devices list when trying to pair it without using "Huawei Health" app.
That said, if someone wants great, classy looking smartwatch I highly recommend Fossil Q line of watches.
Beautiful, battery life is counted in months and really well built.

Question Pixel 6 won't pair with Galaxy Buds Live

I've had my Buds Live for some time now and used them with a Pixel 5 and work iPhone. They don't appear in the Pixel 6 bluetooth pairing menu. The Galaxy Wear app sees them, but gives a "can't communicate" error when I select to pair with them. I made sure the buds weren't paired with any other device and tried rebooting my phone and reinstalling the Galaxy Wear app.
I've successfully paired another bluetooth headphone with the Pixel 6, so it should be working.
Any thoughts?
FIXED....I had to unpair them from my Pixel 5 first. Even though the Pixel 5 was turned off they wouldn't pair with the Pixel 6. I don't understand, but they're paired with the Pixel 6 now.
Just ran into this when I finally got my P6Pro... If anyone from the future finds this thread and like me you already factory reset your old phone prior to trying to pair your earbuds and can no longer go back and unpair them from your previous device.
Instead you can just put the ear buds in your ears and long press on both ear buds at the same time for 3 seconds until you hear a single loud beep from both earbuds simultaneously. That seems to put them into pairing mode. At that point your phone should be able to connect to them from the Galaxy Wear app.

I couldn't figure out why my Buds+ wouldn't pair with my Pixel 7 after factory reset and this solved the problem. Thanks for sharing.
