Not for dvbs2, but is DDR4 3G, faster than most of TV box
Just received mine. It is faster than any of my other android TV boxes including my s905, s905x, and s812. Not as fast as my boxes running libreelec, as no build is available for S912 boxes. I bought a R-box pro a few months ago and was extremely dissapointed, and firmware sucked. This box worked good and will probably get better as beelink does ota updates.

Ethernet is fast, WiFi faster than most sucky TV boxes but an antenna would be better. Ookla ethernet using powerline adapter 48mbs on my 50 Mbps plan, 5ghz WiFi 38 mpbs on my 50 Mbps plan through 3 walls & 25ft.
Excuse me. Is it possible to remove QUODI and install original KODI? Works well? Are there difference? I have gt1 ultimate

Exactly for me this box is rubbish, only two USB ports and no external antenna, much better the R68 2, ddr4 only for games even though not proven to be worthwhile.
As you can see from this review
http://www.about2k.com/30908.html
Not so good performance 39218 on antutu, a box like tronsmart s96 reaches 41000 plus with ddr3, good advice don't buy this box, better solutions out there

Hi
Can anyone help me out need wall mount for the gt1 ultimate
What sucks is they use a Ubuntu kernel which causes problems for popular apps that search for compatibility in the play store. I often had to side load many things because of that. Or the developers wouldn't listen to me because the kernel said Ubuntu and they felt that that meant it was not an Android device.
The male to male USB 2.0 cables are hard to find if you need to hack around or do upgrades and the dev tool only works in Windows.
Why not just allow upgrades and flashing by flashing the firmware internally? Anyways. I could never get those male to male USB cables to recognize my device over the amalogic burning tool.
Wish it had a micro USB slot for that.
Wish the company continued ota updates but we never got past 6.0.1
Why?!?
It's a friggin octacore device with 3gb ram
This should be running Android pie right now!
What a waste

Greetings!
My MK802+ just went up in smoke, and while I am not sure that I wanna get a new one (maybe MK802 II), I do
wanna get another Google TV Box. I actually prefer the "normal" android experience over Google TV, as it is not
at all so limited in regards to installing apps...
The only problem is that I live within EU, so I if I were to import stuff from China I'd be insanely expensive to get
through customs, and I have had a few issues with finding something within EU (also the MK802 II)...
I actually thought the MK802 II was a bit slow, so I kind of wanna try something else... I am hoping to see the UG802
Dual core stick out soon, wonder how it handles heat though. I think these Boxes needs at least 1GB of ram...
I found this one, which looks pretty promising, It has 1gig of RAM and looks neat. I have contacted the seller to find out which CPU it has, who the manufacturer is, and what the model/device name is. 1GB RAM Android 4.0.3 Tv Box Google Play Mini Set IPTV WEEB TV Internet
I have also been looking at the Sumvision Cyclone 2.3 media player, I am uncertain of the clock speed (800Mhz or 1GHz?), and it only has half a gig of RAM... Not sure if sufficient enough.
Lastly I found this dual core android PC stick... But it seems to good to be true right?
I could also consider getting a used Logitech Revue for a price a bit more expensive than the MK802, but I am not sure if that would be worth it....
Do you have any alternatives? What do you guys think?
None?
If the finish don't matter to you, take a look to the development boards:
PandaBoard (OMAP Dual core 1.2Ghz, PowerVR SGX540, 1GB RAM, Full-sized SD Storage, HDMI,WiFi, Bluetooth, USB, Android/Ubuntu support, $169+)
ODroid-X (Samsung Exynos Quad Core 1.4Ghz, 1Gb RAM, Mali400, 6 USB ports, HDMI, Android/Ubuntu support, ~$129)

That last one looks really sexy, but I can't find anywhere in EU that it is being sold
Pandaboard is like 160 euros :/
I can just tuck it away behind my tv, so design is not a problem

I am just on holiday in Bangkok, and as I know the area well, went and had a look around one of the main computer centers and came across one of these..
Android Smart TV Box..
http://www.oneboxhome.com/2012v1.0/products/
Saw it in action.. looks pretty cool..
Got busybox installed..
can side load apps..
I am thinking that the low ram might be taken care of with an apps2sd setup on to the sdcard..
I am interested in it as price was right.. I think he quoted 4,800 thai.. about $AU150
Things I like about it.. slap a hard drive into it - Media box..
running 4.0 with a promised upgrade to jellybeen..
I got to see if I can run the VPN through it..
As my thought is to use it in China as a TV box as I am using my laptop a lot already and my pad..
I know I could setup a pandaboard.. but it wouldn't be the same as this is plug and play..

I've been searching web last few days too. Looking for a STB for watching mainly IPTV. Tried Raspberry Pi, but it was way laggy.....
Take a look at reviews on site: http://liliputing.com/tag/mini-pc
My favorites :
http://www.facebook.com/minixtech - $90, specs still not fully announced, but looks promissing Android mini PCs featuring dual core Rockchip RK3066 ARM Cortex-A9
http://liliputing.com/2012/07/hardk...droid-developer-board-with-quad-core-cpu.html - 129$ ODROID-X has a 1.4 GHz Exynos 4412 quad-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU, Mali 400 graphics
http://liliputing.com/2012/08/49-cubieboard-is-an-allwinner-a10-developer-board-mini-pc.html - $49, cheapest alternative, but i'm not sure if it has enough power for smooth user experience.
Q: Have anyone tried to use MK802 or similar devices for watching IPTV? SD and HDTV resolutions? Is playback smooth? How long does it take to switch from one channel to other?

That dev board is a beast, too bad it costs like $250 if I wanna get it into Denmark
I have used the MK802+, I am not sure if IPTV requires more, but flash video and 1080p video's had fluid playback - never did manage to get surround sound working on the latest firmware though. But I would recommend that you buy an USB-ethernet adaptor, because the wireless on that device is as worse as it gets.
Also, if you can get your hands on the MK802 II I would get that

Device
The device itself is very much the same as my Tronfi MXiv apart from the Tronfi having the bigger storage space of 16GB but for anyone not needing the bigger space the MXiii G should be worth conciddering as the S812 device's really do do every task at a great speed.
It comes with two launchers installed, The launcher3 (standered android launcher) & the media
box launcher.
Standard launcher
Mbox launcher
Display
Advanced
Other
The MXiii G also has the 1000M Ethernet so it should be able to easy tackle being used as a home server with its fast data transfer speeds
Ports
Two Full sized USB ports & one small OTG port,One micro sd card slot,SPDIF,AV socket with secret recovery button (i like this),Power port,Ethernet port,Power button on the top & of course the HDMI port on the rear.
Wifi
2.4ghz + 5.8G Wifi which is very strong picking up my neighbours wifi network no problem also im getting a fast download speed.
Bluetooth 4.0
Kodi.
The MXiii G comes with Kodi 14.1 preinstalled with some addons too but if your buying this item for a child there are some adult addons which will need to be removed. The speed of kodi is outstanding 3 seconds to load from the app screen,Iv been streaming 1080 from the web with no video stuttering whats so ever.
Games
Iv tested beach buggy blitz with graphics set to high it played perfect as expected
I was using my ps3 controller with the sixaxis app (Need to be v8.0 or above)to avoid segmentation fault.
Also the tronsmart Mars G01 Game pad works well
Misc
Logitech c270 camera works fine
External powered 1T HD works fine
Tronsmart Mars G01 game pad works
The MXiii G gets warm but not hot so i dont think modding the box is required as you can see from the photos there is lots of venterlation holes on the bottom to help draw in the cooler air & some side vent slots for the hot air to escape.
Protective circuit design
Another cool feature is the the device comes with is (Protective circuit design) it will save the device if you use the wrong power adapter.(lets hope no one will ever need to see if it works)

I recently purchased a Matricom Gbox Q and it was ok. Weren't any custom ROMs I could find for it. I have also worked with the MXQ with the S805 quad core. I'm just getting into these boxes. Once you figure them out they're pretty nifty. Let me know if there's any custom ROM development for this one. Thanks.
Update: Had mine for about a week. It's actually pretty freaking awesome. Way better than the Matricom Gbox Q. Much faster, no streaming issues. Great box.

Hi there,
thanks for the review, but I have one question.
in this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WY0f4o6pmBA the person is unboxing the S802 device (at least that what he says) and on the box there's an H.265 HEVC codec support. is this right or does the person doing the video has the S812 device?
the reason i'm asking it, is the price difference, the S812 costs about £70 while the S802 costs £39.
thanks

was the flashing hard to do, can it be done without rooting the device first and is the rooting process easy?
thanks
Pretty easy. A quick run down. No root needed.
1: Install USB Burning tool
2: Plug in mini usb cable to box/pc
3: Hold the tiny pin button while powering the box on (this puts in in flash mode)
4: Click a couple buttons in the app, wait a few minutes and presto.
Is it better to flash Stock Fw 316k4 Android 4.4 kitkat and then Android 5 lollipop Beta FW MXIII-G(S812+1/2G+GigaEthernet), or i can flash Android 5 lollipop directly?
Can I use my skype in order to make video calls?
I've connected my webcam but there was no option to make a video call on it and every time I've picked to make a video call, the app crashed.
Is there something I'm missing in the configuration?
thx, Ice
is the Lollipop beta stable enough? Or should I stick with KitKat?
Hello!
I have installed Lollipop firmware on mine and have added a new remote.conf in order to have more buttons working with a Logitech Harmony remote.
But now, I would like to root the ROM by installing TWRP.
I have copied the recovery at the root level of a µSDcard and rename it 'recovery.img' and try to reboot the box but no chance to boot in TWRP :??:
Is something special to do to get working the recovery?
Even the command 'adb reboot recovery' is not working
Many thanks in advance!
Edit: I have tried to adb shell the box and tried the command 'dd if=/path-to-recovery/recovery.img of=/dev/block/recovery' but no luck...

This ROM is very good!
I don't have any issue with it and the new launcher is more wise.
The only problem is this ROM is not prerooted and I can't install TWRP... I only see the default recovery (3e)

please let me know ; Why to install TWRP? which benefit you take?
thanks and sorry for the questions from noob .
No problems
I would like to install TWRP to root the Lollipop ROM.
Because I can't get working the root by using the default recovery.
And I want root to add the ability to Kodi to shutdown the box directly with its interface.
For this you can tell me: why not using the "PowerToggle" button of the remote?
Because I use an Harmony Universal Remote and I would like to have the "Play/Pause/Stop" buttons to work, and with the logitech MXIII-G profile, these buttons don't exist (obviously also on the default remote).
So I have added a modified file 'remote.conf' in the box with these features, but this file don't have a "PowerToggle" button

Why 1 GB RAM?? And Bluetooth 4.0?? No WiFi ac?? And then the obviously wrong 720p/1080p/4K comparison.... Really doesn't give a good impression of whoever is trying to sell this....
I'm watching these products closely because I want a new streaming box WITH 10 bit H.265. All the articles I've seen speak the same language. AMLogic has built a chip (S905), and (so it seems) a circuit board containing everything else. Then the Asian manufacturers buy the board and design a case around it. Labelling is as customer requires. This means, everything you see has the same logic board and almost identical specs. Just a different sticker.
So you usually get : S905 CPU, Mali 450 GPU, 1GB memory, 8GB of storage, HDMI2.0, HDCP 2.2, SPDIF, B/G/N wireless, 100Mbit LAN, AV port, 4 USB ports
Now some more specs : http://www.roofull.com/mrx-64bit-amlogic-s905-android-5-1-tv-box.html
There it says 100Mbit LAN instead of 1Gbit. 2.4GHz WLAN only when it says dual band in the picture, and second hand NAND flash? This one is a joke.
What really matters is this :
IP License (Optional)
Dolby Digital, Dolby Digital Plus
DTS Digital Surround, DTS HD, DTS Express
Real, DivX HD
If you buy the cheap box, you might not get a licence for those.

Why 1 GB RAM?? And Bluetooth 4.0?? No WiFi ac?? And then the obviously wrong 720p/1080p/4K comparison.... Really doesn't give a good impression of whoever is trying to sell this....

2GB version is also planned, also the 5G WIFI.

Sory for my english.
Introduction
Together with many other Android Mini PCs, also Minix decided to release an up-to-date device with many interesting features, most of them exclusive from this Company. This is an huge upgrade of their previous Minix X8-H Plus, only the Chassis hasn’t been redesigned.
This is the Minix NEO U1 Media Hub

Unboxing
Most of you will receive two packages when you order it, the Minix NEO U1 Package and the Minix A2 Lite (Air Mouse/Keyboard) package.
NEO U1 package comes with many accessories: 1x HDMI Cable, 1x Power Supply (5V/3A), 1x WiFi Antenna, 1x Micro-USB Cable, 1x Micro-USB OTG Cable, 1x Remote Control (no Air Mouse), 1x Multi-Language Setup Guide, 1x Product Brochure and the Mini PC (of course).
No Air Mouse/Keyboard is included in the main package, but the Minix A2 Lite Air Mouse/Keyboard is provided separately without any Extra Cost. Just two different packages.
The NEO A2 Lite is absolutely a great Air Mouse/Keyboard, it feels pretty Solid and it doesn’t weight much too. I just don’t like the noise produced when Keys are pressed, unlike standard Remote Controls. It works also on other devices such as standard Desktop PCs or anything else that has a USB Port and supports Mouse/Keyboard input.
Device
About Design, the Chassis is plastic made and it has a kind of rubberized surface, this is what makes the device look so opaque. Heat Dissipation isn’t impacted though, so don’t worry even if this isn’t made of Metal.
It is as compact as most of all Mini PCs, just 12.8x12.8x2.3 and it is also lightweight enough.
As specified before, the whole surface (except the lower side) is kind of rubberized. On the Upper Side there is just a big brand logo (pretty cool, not printed), nothing else. Absolutely clean.
On the front side there is the IR Receiver (required to use the included Remote Control) and a Blue Power LED.
On the left, there is just 1x Wi-Fi Antenna Connector but the Second Antenna is internal, fixed to the upper side of the chassis. (2x2 RX/TX Wi-Fi Adapter)
On the right, there are 3x Standard USB 2.0 Ports, 1x micro SD Card slot, 1x Kensington Lock, 1x Micro-USB Connector (used for OTG or to connect the device to a PC) and a Power Button.
USB Ports are well designed here, you won’t have any kind of problem even with big USB Sticks. Well Done Minix!
The rear features separate Headphone/Microphone Jacks (like PCs), 1x HDMI port, 1x SPDIF port, 1x LAN 10/100/1000 port (Yes, Gigabit Ethernet), and 1x 5.5mm DC in.
On the lower side there isn’t anything at all, absolutely clean.
Testing
Using latest available System Software, I didn’t managed to find any performance issue. Android is always smooth, it doesn’t hang at all neither it feels extremely customized so that Stock Android experience would have been somehow impacted. It is just AOSP, with minor customization required to use the Mini PC in the best way possible, nothing extra except the Minix Launcher & Settings. There are also some third-party apps installed such as ES File Manager. Not a lot though.
Minix Settings app is complete and comfortable to use. Nearly required if you plan to use only the Remote Control.
If you don’t like Minix Settings, or if you need something that is missing, you can still open the Standard Android Settings.
The built-in Wi-Fi Adapter is super fast; it supports 2x2 config. so I managed to get connected to my 5GHz Home Network (using a Netgear R6300v2) at nearly maximum speed even if signal wasn’t extremely good. I don’t have a super fast internet connection, so I won’t be able to show you an useful speed test, but I can just say the results weren’t different than the ones recorded on my Desktop PC.
This device is powered by an Amlogic S905 CPU supported by an ARM Mali-450MP GPU. Even if the GPU isn’t a last-gen version, it still performs pretty well. I’ll talk about performance on next paragraph.
Latest available OTA Update is based still based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, maybe in the future it will be update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow or even better Android N, but I think that there isn’t any need yet to upgrade it.
I have tested some USB Sticks, and all were recognized without any compatibility issue. This is a test with a 64GB USB Stick formatted with NTFS File System.
Benchmarks
I have used 3DMark (Ice Storm, Ice Storm Unlimited, Ice Storm Extreme), A1 SD Bench, Antutu Benchmark, Antutu Video Tester (for Video Playback), Epic Citadel, GeekBench 3, AndroBench, PCMark (Work) and Vellamo (Browser & CPU Tests) to stress the device to the limit. I won’t test Games or Video Playback because there are already some related tests included in these Benchmark suites.
3DMark
Ice Storm
Ice Storm Unlimited
Ice Storm Extreme
Almost all Tests managed to reach more or less 30 FPS, the minimum limit required for a smooth Gaming experience, so it is pretty good considering that the built-in GPU isn’t extremely powerful.
A1 SD Bench & AndroBench – Internal eMMC performance is mediocre, not so much fast but neither so much slow. Powerful enough for an Android Mini-PC.
Antutu Benchmark – Result nearly equal to other CPUs with 4x Cortex-A53. As you can see 3D is the lower score. This is where the age of GPU can have a negative impact.
GeekBench – I must admit that there is something wrong for sure because the score is lower than other worse CPUs (no throttling here, the device was cold) so I think that built-in kernel needs to be optimized a lot to get the maximum from this nice CPU. Minix, take a look at this benchmark’s score.
Epic Citadel – As you can see, Gaming experience won’t be impacted even if the built-in GPU is old, you can enjoy your games without any issue at all.
PCMark – Decent score here, you can use this device also for Office & Web apps in the best way possible.
Vellamo – This is another complete BenchMark Suite, as you can see Browser performance is near to Nexus 5, i’m pretty sure that this will be improved with the next updates. CPU Performance (Single & Multi) is again, similar to Nexus 5, and as I said before, Minix should work a bit on the Kernel to improve CPU performance.
Browser
CPU
Antutu Video Tester – Used to test Video Playback capabilities. All types of Videos are played without any issue, neither there is any compatibility issue. It seems that Minix has optimized this device especially for Video Playback. (“Media Hub” says all)
Kodi (ex KBMC) – I know, this isn’t a Benchmark Suite but I have tested it (it was also preinstalled) to see if it is working in a smooth way in order to use this device as a Media Center, and I can say that it is as smooth as it is on my Desktop PC.
Conclusions
Well, it is hard to say if this is something that you should buy or not, because the not-so-good GPU Performance and the low CPU Performance related to poor Kernel optimization don’t offer the performance that you would expect, but actually it is hard to find a better ARM-Based Mini PC. This is one of the most complete available and offers continuous Manufacturer OTA Updates (unlike some other Chinese Brands), so...do I recommend it?
The reply is: Yes, unless you want to spend almost 4x the price of this device to build your own HTPC or you prefer an x86 Mini PC with Windows.

Thanks for your review.
Minix is the best TV box brand, and Amlogic SoC is the best TV Box solution from my opinion.
20160415 OTA Update has been released with some nice improvements. Remember to update your Mini PC

yup .
Just got back from the Minixforums and it seems that any old wired xbox 360 controller will work (that is genuine and "generic")
as for wireless controllers... it seems that the genuine Microsoft wireless receiver is required in order for it to work

4GB LPDDR4 ram
64GB EMMC
1Gb ethernet port
Wifi 2.4G/5.8G AC/MiMo
Android 9

4K HDR support
Bee-link is about to launch a new TV Box, a successor to the GT1 (Ultimate and mini) line that was famous for its abilities as a media center. Most people were using CoreELEC with embedded Kodi instead of the original Android rom.
This box will benefit from the new S922X soc, with the powerful cluster of A73 cores.
It should be able to software decode any fHD Widewine L1 DRM contents, thus allowing a great experience with add-on such as Netflix on Kodi.

The launcher sucks. Any suggestions to get rid of the light home launcher?
You can use any other, like ATV Launcher for instance.
This box sucks.
Could you briefly explain why ?
They Made a Android TV Rom over at Freaktab
Mind I heard the box can't run 64 bit apps ..

Don´t buy this.
I made the mistake to bought one and is full of problems. Beelink support in none existence. Only depends on some custom firmware from devs.
First problem, there are 3 versions os the same box SN:922X or SN:95X2 that are identical, and SN:B922 with diferent Ram, and firmware update can turn bootloop if you did use the wrong rom.
But the main issue is the ethernet, that don´t work, for B922 ( the one i have) none of the firmwares fixed that.
I now order a USb 2 ethernet ( 1gb) adapter) because is impossible to work with the internal ethernet.
And is not the case of i´m having a faulty box. Many users are reporting the same, and for my searchs this is a comon issue wilt several Beelink box´s.
Don´t know is is firmware or hardware related ( poor quality parts or assemble).
I would return this to Geekbuing, if they honor that de returns where made to Europe, and now they tellme to send it to Hong Kong.
Shame on you Beelink, Shame on you Geekbuing, Never again i will buy from this brands.
I regret not buying a cheaper box or go directly to Shield
Mine is working fine, SN is 922X.

Yes your right, many issue's are present, there's a bug considering the wifi and lan (have to switch wifi on/off in the settings to wake up lan), it's almost certain software related.
They should'nt have relaesed the box so soon, latest update of june did not solve the problem.
Don't know if a gigabit adapter will work ???
I'm not using this box for now, will use my shieldtv with custom android :good:
Hey hoping it OK to post this here? So I bought the king. Been working great..........THEN all of a sudden................it cut off and all i'm getting now on the box is the 2 red eyes lighting up which I'm guessing isn't good. I've tried to reflash firmware via the USB burning tool method but erm..................not happening

Did you try to flash using the SDCard too ? what is not happening ? the USB discovery?
I got my GT1 yesterday and everything is working fine as far as I can compare against my previous TICTID with RK3318 Chipset. Stable and modern chipset was my main focus and its pretty robust so far. Im surprised about the good WIFI. Im currently using 2.4G but the analyser reports 88Mbps constantly. Previous Box fluctuated between 15-42Mbps which is a problem for IPTV transmission and netflix.
This is very encouraging...
On the other side the device specific settings are very basic and launcher not really impressing.
According to previous user experiences I hope its not a short term pleasure.
EDIT: OS is 32bit. Thats a bit disappointing but so far I havent seen any drawbacks because of this.
