I've got a strange one where when connecting a Z3C to the aux input on my Ford Falcon there is a loud crackling noise from the car speakers.
I've tested with other phones like iphones and samsungs and the sound is clean without issues.
Tried connecting a friend's Z3C and the issues occurs same as when I connect.
I have tried different aux cables and played with the settings on the phone and the car but can't seem to resolve this weird one.
Can anyone shed some light on what else I can try please?
Oops wrong sub my bad...mods please delete.

Any body have a problem with head phones mine make a bad crackling sound when i turn up the volume.
Have you searched the forums for audio issues? If you did you'd see there are MULTIPLE threads about people having issues w/ any 3.5mm headphones plugged in. It's a widespread issue with this phone sadly.
90% of the time I connect my phone to my car's Aux jack and listen to music or a podcast there is a constant high pitched tone that plays when there is audio being passed through (someone talking or music playing). If nothing is being passed through the noise isn't present. My wife's S3 has the same issue in my car but my old GNex never had an issue.
I've tried multiple Aux cables to no avail. If I connect my bluetooth headset to the aux and transmit sound it works fine, but I can't keep that charged for long car trips (aux dongle uses the usb port).
Is anyone experiencing a similar issue? Any suggestions?

That is typically caused by a bad ground. Something like this can help alleviate the issue.

Depending on the phone, the whine can be exacerbated by having it plugged in and charging.
Hi,
I noticed that when connecting my phone to the car AUX there's a lot of hissing/static noise in the background, and it doesn't matter what app I use to play music.
I didn't have this problem with my previous phone (Oneplus One).
When using my Bluetooth headphone the noise is gone and the sound is clear.
Does anyone else experience this?
Also, I find the sound quality pretty flat and I'm looking for a good EQ, like the AudioFX I had on the Oneplus One. Tried many by now and all were crap...
Can anyone recommend a good EQ?
Thanks
I experience similar thing when I use earphones during call. I hear some mix of hissing, rustle noise that is very annoying.
During call mostly I don't hear any sound from other side until he/she started to speak. Very weird. Like some kind of noise reduction or cancellation is turned on.
When I turn on wind noise reduction I can hear other side all the time but hissing noise is constant.
I thought it was earphones problem but it happens with several different earphones.
Currently I use Honor engine AM12 Plus earphones.
I would like to hear some suggestions.
Thanks.

Since update to marshmallow, the audio jack can't be used anymore. Had similar problem last year but it was quickly solved by mutiple times of plugging in the earphones this time it seems dead.Tried different earphones, no luck. The sound still playing on the phone speakers and not through the earphones. Sometimes a certain earphone would have sound but only on one side. Should i flash previous firmware? im not sure if it was caused by the update or the hardware problem. Phone is not rooted btw. Tried cleaning the audio jack as well. Any help would be appreciated
So i got brand new S21 ten days ago, Exynos model, and i right away got type-c to 3.5mm adapter for my headphones (not original Samsung), i immediately noticed white noise when playing any media in any app.
Now i just bought AKG oem Samsung headphones with type-c connector thinking this will solve the problem and the noise is even worse, 10x stronger.. these headphones are unusable. EDIT: tried on A71, works fine.
Anyone else having the same problem?
What's strange is that when for example in YT video is complete silence noise disappears, but when there's sound noise appears.. noise is switching off and on in silent and loud scenes.
On my Xiaomi BT Earphones sound is perfect, so it has to be due to audio port on the phone.
I have only used true wireless Earbuds so I can't offer experience with the type C port. All I can say is that all of my Bluetooth audio is free of hiss.

You need an adapter with a built-in DAC like this one.

Thanks, will try to find one locally, lots of stuff on amazon is not available, or way too expensive for adapter..
