Gltools for Android 6 Marshmallow - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

I had installed GLtools 2.02 on my redmi note 3 android 6.0.1 stock rom rooted.
It's installed successfully and rebooted without any problem.
But no meaning...what setting I am doing with any game...it's not affecting.
Want to know ...is GLtools support android 6 or not?

I have been trying to run Half life 2 and portal on my Huawei P9 running Marshmallow and GLTools sseems to have no effect, the games still crash after the intro video, I thought it could be related to the HiSilicon Kirin CPU used by the Huawei P9 but it appears that GLTools doesn't support Marshmallow, a great shame.

Which games are you playing that you need Gltools?
I never required in Redmi note 3. But used heavily in Xperia mini pro(2011 model). Our phones are pretty fast for any heavy gaming needs. Kindly please mention games.....that you need to use Gltools.

Bro in marshmallow, Gltools are very unstable. Even in nexus 6 marshmallow app have huge instability. So you may have to stop playing that game :crying:

Is MIUI8 a marshmallow update?

Is there any word if MIUI8 is a Marshmallow update for Redmi Note 3?
I'm really unsure, we saw an official china dev marshmallow V7 but it's still buggy , it means that Xiaomi is working on it but on the same time, i see this http://a.disquscdn.com/uploads/mediaembed/images/3627/2925/original.jpg saying that V8 will be 5.1, idk but i think that we can expect V8 to come very soon on 5.1 and then upgrade to 6.0 afterwards
Since mi max is sd 650 and launched with 6.0, shouldn't it be quite easy for Xiaomi to use almost the same rom on n3 pro?

Afaik i MIUI 8 WILL have Marshmellow, MIUI itself will support a lot of Devices reaching from Mi 2 up to Mi Max, Redmi Note 3 included (logicaly)
So i would say at least the Devices with some Performance, wich also includes the RN3 will have Marshmallow

Redmi 3 (NOT Note or Pro) without MIUI?

Hi everyone,
plane and simple:
Is there a way to use the Redmi 3 without Miui? Its not a bad OS, its just to bloated.
I would much prevere the stock andorid, ir something very lightweight.
I already checked out with Cyanogen Mod, but they said, they are NOT supporting the Redmi 3.
So can I run a stock Android on the Redmi 3 without having issues? Or can you advise some other roms?
TY.

there are cm 12.1 and even cm 13 roms for redmi 3 why dont you search it on redmi 3 thread.
Apparently CM13 development just resumed yesterday and it seems to be pretty good for now.
I don't mind miui, it's an attractive rom, especialy 8. But I do mind all the Chinese clatter that come with it. If there is a debloated version for 3S I'd give it a go
Just install the global ROM if that's your problem. CyanogenMod is decent but needs some work to be a daily driver. That and the many bugs that still exist for it.

The "stock kernel"-labelled CM12.1 on XDA works great as my daily driver

Audio latency

I, i have a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 3/32GB Snapdragon Version and i noticed that in CM14.1 roms some games have a big latency (like Clash Royale/Clash of Clans).
Someone has my same problems? Can you try to download Clash Royale and see?
My current rom is the Official ResurrectionRemix 7.1.1 (15 Dec) with stock kernel
I've tried to flash Radon/AGNI but it doesn't solve.
Yes, me too.

Android Oreo on mipad 3? Possible?

Tried searching on the forum but only found some threads related to mipad 1 and android 8.
I have a mipad 3 on miui 8 with android 7.0, it have been doing alright except for some "Updates has stopped working" which i didnt care for. But i don't have the dual app on this rom so i need to install a miui 9 or higher if i wanted to use dual apps.
Is there any android oreo rom for mipad 3 or still stuck on android 7? I don't think its worth to flash to another rom just to get the dual apps and a few improvements...
You can install xiaomi.it rom.
It supported MIUI10.

I don't know if it supports dual apps.
Xiaomi still updating mi pad3.
However, it is only in the Chinese version. And Android version is still 7.

Maybe it will not be updated to Oreo.

Which custom ROM should I use

I want to increase performance, should I do all this or should I just stay with it, and if I should, which custom rom do I use
Xiaomi 8A, 2G ram
You can go with Pixel Experience ROM. It's pure android with a lot of stability and also Android 12 is available but it's in beta stage right now. is your device Realme 8a DUAL?

I'm using the official pixel experience with Android 13 on my Redmi 8A and there's really no point in hoping that the performance will improve. I have almost no applications in the costum rom and even if I turn off the animations, the phone still lags, I recommend buying a new phone.
