I downgraded to run kingroot, installed twrp, and then CM11
Worked fine, but I wasnt happy with some of the issues that CM11 has currently so I flashed 5.3.1.0 from twrp and its working fine but I dont have root (not that big a deal) and I cant get to recovery mode, not by doing adb reboot recover or by holding the volume button at poweron. Any idea where to start?

Not having root is a great deal, cause with root you could have used a certain tutorial got get TWRP back and flash whatever. I'm in a similar situation, no root too, and can't figure out what to do
Thanks

Yes if I had root I could fix it, I just meant in the end I don't need the device to be rooted, just want some kind of recovery just in case
well
I now have root, what tutorial can I use to get a recovery back
Still stuck with no recovery
How did you get root back?

How u get it to connect adb? Plse help
plugged it in and when changed the driver to android adb. when you plug it in, does it register as anything?
kingroot 5.3.1.0
I used kingroot and am on 5.3.1.0 and stuck with no recovery

I rooted my LTEvo using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671577 and now, when my phone is off and I plug a charger in, it automatically boots into fastboot. This happens with both USB and AC. I don't press any buttons, just plug the charger in.
Suggestions? Thanks!
I had the same thing happen to me yesterday, weird.
The issue was resolved by doing a full root and installing viperROM. Most likely an issue with the method listed above or trying to install TWRP while the bootloader was still locked.

Full root vs partial root. Please explain?
I suppose I meant rooting vs. unlocking the bootloader. I used the batch file method in the original post to root and install SU. I then used Goomanager to try flashing TWRP, but the phone just rebooted. The issue started occurring at that point, but stopped when I unlocked the bootloader using HTCdev.com and installed viperROM.

Subtle yet very different
I had this same problem. I fix it by re-flashing the stock recovery via Android Terminal Emulator

Sounds like that would have done it for me as well. I'm guessing the stock recovery got corrupted somehow when I tried flashing TWRP with a locked bootloader.

I'm having the same problem and also still have a locked bootloader too. I did like AmonReviled stated and had tried to install TWRP recovery after only rooting with Zedomax method and have been seeing this issue since then.
Since I don't have a lot of time on my hands right now, I really don't want to get into unlocking the bootloader and heading down the custom recovery and custom ROM road just yet so I'd like to be able to just restore the default HTC stock recovery without losing any of the rest of my data or having to reinstall everything. Especially since I sometimes like to charge my phone while completely powered off, and this issue has made that impossible.
Shook187, can you tell me how you were able to reflash the stock recovery through Android Terminal Emulator? I already have the app on my LTEvo but I'm assuming I also need access to a stock recovery image? Theoretically I'd like to be able to restore just the recovery partition to stock without losing/erasing any of the rest of the data on my phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
EDITED TO ADD: Nevermind, I got it, and it didn't delete any of my data. I used the recovery image and instructions from the OP in the Clockwork Recovery thread at http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1675430 in case anyone else is wondering.
Hey,
so does anyone know how to root this device? Received it yesterday and am waiting for root since most of the Apps I am using require it.
Help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Try the Kingroot tool.

Well it didn't work for me. Tried both the APK and Windows version. Meh.
Ok, then I suggest you try Megthebest's TWRP method from here:

Ah, I'd have to reset my whole settings, widgets, etc., then. Don't feel like it. I think I'll wait for Kingroot to update. Thanks anyways!

I don't think so... (Or am I missing something???)
All you need to do is install PC drivers, flash TWRP as your recovery.img (=system, data and other user images are unaffected) and then just flash root using SuperSU .zip.
Can't see that there is a need to do any resets or wipes to get it working, nor should you flash over any of your personal settings.
Recommend you check with Megthebest, he's a user and has another thread on the Ulefone Power here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/ulefone-power-real-reviews-discussion-t3300315
There might be other rooting tips there too.

Has anyone tried using fastboot on this device?
You can boot into fastboot by holding volume up and power. Then volume up to select fastboot and volume down to select the option (weir but it works).
I was able to use "fastboot flashing unlock" to successfully unlock the device. You can also see what is available by using "fastboot OEM?" command.
I did not want to flash anything on the phone and wanted to just boot TWRP for the device using "fastboot boot <image file name>" but it failed to boot. I think the boot command has been changed since and now needs memory locations.
I have tried "fastboot flash recovery <file name>" and it flashed successfully but trying to go into recovery still gives the stock recovery. I'm not sure what really flashed and where.
This is a great phone ! Just hope to find root !

I was trying to root my Lenovo P2a42 with TWRP and SuperSU V2.76 but then something went wrong and it wouldn't boot up. I then did an advanced wipe and wiped everything using TWRP and now I have no OS, although I can go into TWRP and the Bootloader. Whenether I try to boot up I get the Bootloader. Now I just want to get it back to normal, I have no backups (Cuz I'm dumb). Please help, thanks in advance.

Yeah I fixed it a few weeks back. I did an advanced reset again then got a stock ROM zip transferred from my pc to my lenovo then flashed it with TWRP. Worked just fine although OTAs no longer work (Too happy to care).
Now, I still want to root my device... If you find a way that works could ya let me know? Thanks.

A lot of post are about being 5.x.x and can't access recovery mode but I am on 4.5.3 and I have flashed TWRP before on this firmware. I used the CM-11 rom and realized it's only Android 4.4.4 and needed Android 5.x.x well i flashed back to stock fire os and the stock firmware still 4.5.3
MY problem:
When i boot into recovery mode it just shows "Amazon" and reboots back to stock OS, I have root and flashify it just won't boot into recovery. Any help?
Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same issue with pretty much the same scenario. I can boot to the bootloader/fastboot mode but recovery is not working.
I've tried some of the bootloder unlock methods to try to flash recovery but to no success. Other than that, the table boots to the stock ROM ok, but that's really no fun. I can't even factory reset because that needs recovery, lol.

You can flash recovery with aftv-tools but IDK the recovery adress. Maybe @bibikalka can help us?

Unfortunately, the aftv-tools were patched a while ago, sneaky Amazon updated boot0 on firehd 2014 via some hidden data in either LK or TEE1. So that method won't work.
So without a recovery or root there are really no options.
Now, there is always the path to trigger the BootRom mode via some contacts (as on other models), but nobody spent the time yet to figure that out:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-hd/general/diy-fire-hd-6-7-bootloader-unlock-t3894996
Pinging @k4y0z and @xyz` for completeness.

Nice pics. Maybe with root you can easy brick it an enter to bootROM mode no?
Code:
echo 0 > /sys/block/mmcblk0boot0/force_ro
dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0boot0
echo 'EMMC_BOOT' > /dev/block/mmcblk0boot0
md5sum /dev/block/mmcblk0boot0

I managed to get the stock Amazon recovery on to the fire tablet on 5.6.10 using EX Kernel Manager and from there could sideload the OS i needed to get back in to TWRP.
i successfully flashed twrp on my a10 yesterday thanks to the help of some users on here. the plan was and still is to rpelace the os with a non google one. everything went ok. the phones was and still is oem unlocked, the phone reports as it did yesterday that there was a none samsung offical software on there so i assume twrp is still present for but for some reason i can't boot into it. booting with power and volume up goes into the old recovery men with no mention of twrp, and the volume up/down boot goies into the old download menu. do i need to reflash twrp or am i missing something?
