Hi manga
Did you ever figure this out? I have the Venue 10 5050, and I am trying to root it for the first time. I've never successfully rooted a device, and really have no idea what I'm doing. I was going for a "one click" option, but of course I bought a tablet with locked bootloader. I am about to attempt KingoRoot's PC option, but then came across your post, and now I'm afraid I will brick it. Plus, my PC recognizes it as an "unknown device" with the generic google driver. I don't think it's possible to acquire an OEM driver, at least if you can, I haven't been able to find one, and have wasted hours trying random drivers that suggest they're specific to this tablet. The Venue is no longer under warranty, of course. I've had it for almost 2 years, and I truly love it; I'm just ready to do way more with it, than the factory version will allow.
I did find a thread about someone locating the stock firmware, when I was on my cell, but I can't seem to locate that thread now.
Anyway, thanks in advance!

[Q] CUBOT ONE MT6589T - Jan 6 Kernel - Soft Bricked - HELP NEEDED!

Greetings fellow XDA Users,
Let me get right to the point. A week ago my Cubot One arrived which I ordered from dealxtreme. Eveything was fine and I was very happy with the phone.
But 3 days ago I tried to change the resolution of the screen with an app from the Play Store and of course I did not backup my rom a really stupid thing to do on my part.
Now my Cubot One is soft bricked I think as it only boots to the android logo and that's it. I can still access the recovery menu but unfortunately I only have the stock recovery.
I have tried like literaly everything to unbrick my phone but nothing has worked so far. I tried to use the Cubot One T card upgrade and install it from an SD card but it fails with an MBR related error I think. I have tried to flash an older ROM I think V0.3 throught SP Flash Tools. I tried to only flash the CWM recovery through SP Flash tools again but that didn't work either. I tried to install custom roms through the ADB sideload ability of the stock recovery but nothing seems to work.
Is there any way I can repair my phone? Is it possible for someone that has recently baught a Cubot One running the V0.7 rom to do a backup and send it to me and instruct me how to install it? I would really appreciate any help.
I just want you to know that I am opening this thread as a last resort I have tried everything I have even tried the MTK Tools software but It doesn't recognize my phone possibly because It doesn't boot or I have lost the root and usb debugging previleges.
Can someone please give me a backup of the V0.7 ROM? I think that that is my last chance to save the phone.
Thanks in Advance.

According to a forum member on this thread http://forum.datadevelopement.com/a...4-4-2-root-t2873796/post62662075#post62662075 - if you just use the SP Flash tool to reload the custpack partition to repair the build.prop, then you should be good to go. You'll need the scatterfile for the phone as well. That thread is for a different version of your phone, but the idea should be the same. Now, where you can find the firmware to grab the custpack part from, I do not know. Might need to check with Alcatel. Only thing I found online was someone who was trying to sell the scatterfile and rom for it, which is kind of a crappy thing to do. If you can find someone else with the same model phone, you should be able to get them to do a backup with the SP Flash tool and use that to restore your phone, but doesn't seem to be a real popular variant, at least not here on XDA.

Please help, HP 7 Voicetab 1351RA bricked

Hi,
I'd rooted Kitkat using Kingsroot and tried to put in a custom recovery, but instead ended up in a bootloop without a recovery.
Its not getting detected in PC and also, without any receovery.
Any idea how to proceed?
No one faced this before ?
If any of you know a way out of this, please post it here, i could find some info regarding unbrick, all of them requires you to have a recovery, but i dont have that as well

i could be crazy

Help. Alcatel A2 stuck in boot loop after attemped root

I suspect i have foolishly tried to root my Alcatel A2 xl, as I''ve never done it before and it looks unconventional, and it's now stuck in boot loop. I can hold volume up and power and get to select boot mode, but recovery freezes the screen and selecting normal triggers the boot loop. Fastboot works still.
It was all working fine, I'd set up adb and a couple drivers, then followed some guide here to install Clockwork Recovery by flashing it via adb. I did that, and can't do anything sense - i read somewhere else i should have wiped data first, could this have been it?
Any help on how to recover enormously appreciated. At this point i've tried the official Alcatel tool to reset a stock rom and it can't detect the phone correctly, and that's it. I dont want to go trying to flash another recovery or custom ROM on yet as im uncertain what went wrong.
Also just want to say thanks in advance, and thanks for the whole site, it's the only reliable looking place i could find for android advice , i mean im sure you know that.
Try this

Hi there,
I am not sure if this will work or not as ALCATEL is famous for making cheap smartphones however the number of ROMS out there are slim, I was wondering do you have the stock rom with you and are you able to connect your phone to your computer and can ADB detect it.
If your still able to boot into recovery you can uninstall root by wiping its memory completely.
And if your phone is able to get recognised by ADB I suggest you to reinstall the whole ROM
I have found a website which might help you to get the ROM
https://www.needrom.com/category/alcatel/
Hey thanks thanks. I can't boot into recovery frustratingly, but it can be recognised by adb.
I dont have a stock rom though so thanks for website - can you point me to the right ROM? There doesn't seem to be anything specific to the A2 XL model, but it has a MT8321 processor so does that mean any ROM for that would work? NEEDROM /tablet_captiva_pad_10_3g_plus_mt8321/
or the A2 XL also seems to have exactly the same processor as the Pixi 4, and both come with the 8050D tag-on which i have no idea what means. So would that be a better shout? NEEDROM /rom-stock-pixi-4-7-alcatel-9003a-telcel/

Hi there,
sorry i was wrong, i didn't knew you were using an mtk processor
since its mtk you need to use sp flash tool
and it doesnt have the same processor as i searched the tag "8050D" it came up as a Snapdragon processor
However you can download SP-FLASH TOOL and look up the another alcatel phone matching the same description

Stock Rom or partitions for Huawei Y6 2018 [ATU-L21]

Hi, i tried to install a custom rom in my device (y6 2018 ATU L21) and an error ocurred due to my ****ty usb cable, so now im in a big trouble because the phone is bricked.
I backup some partitions before the accident such as kernel, ramdisk but guess what, the most important (system.img) is corrupted and i can't do anything.
The phone boots and shows huawei logo and then black screen forever, i can't access TWRP nor Erecovery, im completly stuck.
I searched on "Huawei Firmware Finder" but any of the ROMs for ATUL21 works (some of them have missing partitions) so now i only depend on the community, if there is any good person that has this phone and wants to help me by sharing the partitions to me i will appreciate such act of generosity, if you want to help me you can follow those steps (Need to be root):
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/guide-twrp-backup-current-partitions.3853831/
If you have any stock rom that works for this model im glad to accept it .
Have a good day.
I think I have this for you:
ATU-L21 BACKUP
Good luck!

which tool do i use to write this file
Hello, it's been a while since the post but I still need your help. I have the same problem as describe. I downloaded the file from the nice man. Tried to flash it with fastboot but the phone still has the same problem. maybe you can solve your problem and can help me.
I only have access to fastboot because the rest doesn't work. maybe you also have a custom ROM that works on the device, which doesn't necessarily have to be original software.
Thanks in advance

Hi, this is what i have done to recover the phone. First, there is one mistake that i made and it was trying to flash the files from fastboot, you can't do that because the phone is bricked, instead you need to download the firmware from "Huawei Firmware Finder" and then you need to dissasemble your phone to press the test point. look at this video for reference huawei test point once your PC is going to recognize your device as 'COM' on the device manager, and then you need to use a tool to flash the firmware, i can't share with you the tool since i have switched to Linux distro and i don't use Windows anymore. But if you were smart enough to flash your phone i think with a little bit of search you are gonna find.
Good Luck and have a good day.
Hello thanks for the answer, I have already downloaded stock roms from 2 different sites, both are the same. There are many subfolders in the file but after a long search you can find some .app files right? What should I do with the file exactly? Flash this directly? If so, do you happen to remember the name? Or did you extract the various files from this file, such as "Boot" or something else?
