Cyanogenmod Redmi Note 3 SE - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi.
So I have this weird problem...
1. Running CM 13.0 on my phone can't use Wi-fi..even with kate radios flashed.
2. Running CM 14.0 Wi-fi works, Sim works...but my microphone and speaker doesn't work while making a voice call. With headphones, works. I try "recorder" apps and mic is working...
On both Roms i flashed kate radio for cm 13 to get signal...
Thank you for your time.

[SOLVED] Help required with XT1521

Hello there..!!
I just got a XT1521, as a secondary device. Its currently on stock Android 6.0 with baseband M8916_2020629.41.03.21.51R SURNIA_EMEA_DSDS_CUST
I want to make it just like the Pixel. I do know where to get the required files, and don't need any help regarding that.
All I wanna know is :-
1. What's the procedure to unlock bootloader on this device? Unlocked successfully
2. Which recovery should I use? I used Squid2's TWRP v3.0.2-r1
3. Which ROM can be used as a daily driver? (need 7.0+ to get Google Assistant working). My preferences are good battery life (if not extreme) but the performance should be smooth without any lags, unlike the stock M. Also, wifi, OTG support and other features should be working properly.
Flash Seraph08's CM14.1, its totally smooth with wifi, otg and everything working. Also, I've managed to install Google Assistant successfully
4. What's this adoptable storage thing that people are having problem with..?
Didn't faced this problem myself. Maybe because Im not using ext sd card.
5. Should I flash a custom kernel too? If yes, which one and why?
Didn't found any need to do so, stock CM kernel works just fine for me.
Thanks to you for reading through all of this and please be kind enough to answer. :silly:

2. Twrp recovery by squid2
3.CM14.1 by seraph08 (reubenPCA is the thread operator)
Here's the link-http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-e-2015/orig-development/rom-cyanogenmod-14-1-t3492794
4. I faced no such issue in cm14.1.
5.nope you don't need any kernel, cz the stock one performs excellent.

First of all, thanks bro for the reply.
Have you tried the CypherOS 3.1.3?? That seems good too but is having wifi problem, though in the latest version only.
Everything works fine in the CM14.1 you suggested, right? Even the wifi / tethering, VoLTE and OTG..?
VOLTE is still not available in any ROMs as far as i know, and for everything else works also i had tried cypheros 3.1.3 but i had some issue with that lyk the music would play on loudspeaker even if my headphones were connected(it also showed in the status bar , the headset icon after i connected my headphones) so yes i found cm14.1 better than cypheros in terms of performance

Thanks mate..!! I appreciate your reply. BTW, stock Marshmallow does support VoLTE, but since its my secondary device, I can live without that.
Yeah stock mm firmware supports VOLTE but then my phone would lag a lot on stock, so it's really difficult to stay on stock and that on jio half the calls wouldn't be placed due to interconnectivity issues, so i used stock for hardly 2-3 days.

Eliminate the call bugs in LOS/AOSP, maybe I found a way for A2017/A2017U

Axon 7 can run LOS/AOSP perfectly but if someone are facing the call bugs problem like me, its really annoying. When you making/receiving calls sometime the sound did not comes and we have to turn on then off speaker phone to workaround the bug.
After many tries, maybe I found a way to fix and would like to share. A2017/A2017U user if having this problem please follow my steps below:
1. EDL to latest Baseband: https://forum.xda-developers.com/axon-7/development/edl-emergency-dl-mode-twrp-unlock-t3553514 B19-NOUGAT_TWRP (Nougat 7.1.1)
2. Flash via TWRP: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=961840155545571037 A2017X_Universal_BootStack by @NFound, choose your variant correctly.
3. Flash via TWRP: LOS, AOSP or any other ROMs based on them, then Gaaps, Magisk, ... if needed.
My call bugs have gone, and you ? Please leave your feedback here.
is this for mic the mic problem? i get calls and people can barely hear me even if i yell
Thank you for solution (mb, workaround, idk). It works fine for me with any AOSP/LOS-based roms. tested on LOS, AOKP, Mokkee, Vertex OS, Carbon Rom latest builds.

Rom suggestion

I flashed a bunch of AOSP/LOS roms (they are similar anyway)
I wanna get back on MIUI, i am looking for a rom based on NOUGAT MIUI
My top priorities are
1. Video over LTE
2. Bluetooth Audio call working
3. Should be stable

Joyuse FM-Radio - no sound?

Hi there!
I have a Xiaomi Note 9 Pro = Joyuse device, with unlocked bootloader.
I've tried those two ROMs:
* Arrow-v12.1-miatoll-OFFICIAL-20220505-GAPPS (=Android 12)
* lineage-18.1-20220506-nightly-miatoll-signed (=Android 11)
Both include an FM-Radio app, with both I can scan and find channels, and get those RDS texts displayed for the stations that send them, but I can't hear any audio. I've also tried the recording feature: The resulting audio files contain only silence.
I also have a Xiaomi Note 9S = Curtana device, on this the FM-Radio works without a problem with all ROMs I've tried that included an app for it.
Does anybody else have a Joyuse device for which the FM Radio is working? Does it work with MIUI / Stock ROM?
Thank you!
Yes,
using same ROM (lineage-18.1-20220506-nightly-miatoll-signed) with base MIUI ROM miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM_0d0abb3576_11.0.
FM Radio is working as expected. Can't say for the MIUI ROm since i haven't used it.
oh, so maybe the issue is that the last original xiaomi MIUI ROM that was installed on my Joyuse was too old. I didn't know that was required for this device..?
So I've tried flashing fw_joyeuse_miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM_0d0abb3576_11.0.zip from https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/firmware/joyeuse/
That didn't change the FM-Radio, still no sound, still scanning + RDS Texts working.
@MiATOr Can you confirm the path you went to get the FM Radio working on your Joyeuse device?
You said you used "base MIUI ROM" miui_JOYEUSEEEAGlobal_V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM_0d0abb3576_11.0.
Did you flash the fastboot or recovery version of this?
https://xiaomifirmwareupdater.com/miui/joyeuse/stable/V12.5.8.0.RJZEUXM/
Not sure if this makes any difference.
