Hi All,
What is the safest way to return my T-Mobile LG-H901 to full stock?
I no longer require root and would like to take a clean update of android 7 when it drops in February.
Thanks all,
-NJ

Found this guide here....not sure if it still works, but it might be worth a shot. GUIDE

I have the prepaid optimus l9 from T-Mobile, and have rooted it and deleted several of the bloatware apps. How can I return this phone to its out of the box state, as in unrooted and with bloat intact? I am not returning the phone, if that helps, but I am giving it to a parent, and want the OTA updates to work properly for them.

Reflash V10E with offline LG update method. If required do hard reset after flashing. Its back to factory defaults and will take V10G update.

So, flash the 10 e kdz? Thank you very much for the help, I really appreciate the work you do here on this otherwise all but forsaken by devs phone. Sorry to be leaving this community in its time of need, but my nexus 4 is already on the way, and my dev experience is incredibly limited, as my only language is java, and even there i struggle to freehand code without a template.

We (LGP769) do not have the 10e kdz, use the 10g kdz.

Restore a cwm backup of a stock rom and then run the offline flash method.
I have a rooted Nook tablet so not a complete noob, but how safe is the root process for a verizon Galaxy s4? I'd like to root it so I can get rid of some of the junk apps and install others I want, but I void my two yr warranty...thoughts from the experts? just want to feel comfortable moving forward and if so, is there a set of clear instructions somewhere?
Thanks to all

Instead of an asinine comment that does you no go, here's some info.
Yes, rooting will void the warranty. However, you can always Odin to go back to stock should you have an issue that requires returning your phone to VZW.
I've rooted both my old S3 and my current S4. I JUST started rooting on the S3, so I'm relatively new as well but have learned a lot. My S3 was stock rooted, but I took the plunge with my S4 and am running HyperDrive ROM which is HOLY MOLY sweetness.
It's up to you, but if you're going to root, perhaps look at the ROMs that are available and flash one. I'm not sorry that I started flashing Roms. Not one bit

Three replies thus far and yours is the only one of solid benefit..thanks. Can you point me anywhere to see step by step to accomplish what you did on your S4?

Here is the link to root: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2290798
How old is your S4? The reason that I ask is that there was an OTA update the broke root. Currently there are Dev's looking into how to root with the new firmware.
Have you installed the OTA update?
Phone is about a month old...I have made no changes to the existing phone so I don.t know about the OTA update (although the VW software that came with it appears to update the phones software when plugged into laptop)

Go to ->Setting->More->About Phone and tell me what you Baseband version says. If it's VRUAME7, you have the OTA update. If it's VRUAMDK, you do not.
confirming VRUAME7

Unfortunately you will not be able to root until a new method becomes available.
is it possible to back up to pre-OTA update status?

No.....there is no way to uninstall the update. Patience, young rooting grasshopper! A new method will be out shortly, I would imagine. Doesn't usually take too long,
Much appreciated...and lastly can you point me to how I would reinstall what you refer to as Odin should I screw up a future root process?

This link explains how to go back to stock by using Odin: http://www.sxtpdevelopers.com/showthread.php?t=237
With a new g3 on its way I was wandering if someone would mind telling me the best/easiest way to get root and recovery and then bump so I can flash any of the current ROMs available. I'm coming from a rooted g2 and had to revert it back to older firmware to achieve root so I'm not clueless on using lg flash tool if that's the only way. If someone could maybe point me in the right threads needed for the best way I'd be grateful.

No problem and I'm actually stock rooted. It works for me. I'm waiting for a stable lollipop Rom for the time being
Personally, I've kept stock rooted and used Titanium Backup and root browser to delete bloat. That way I'm Odex'd (not into theming) and I haven't disabled OTA notifications so there's a chance I'll find out Verizon Android 5.x is official before my daily check of XDA. ?

Will CF auto root would it be able to root android 5.0.1. I really do not care about the Samsung knots being trigger my phone is already out of warranty. I just have insurance if it gets stolen or I drop it in water. Or should I wait until they find a root method without triggering Samsung knots. I read about triangle away but like I said at this point I can careless if it gets trigger. What are you guys opinion?
The first rule of XDA is - Search.

As of now, if you took the OTA and did not preserve root, there is no root method available. Also, "Knox"

No root for OC1 unless you took the neutered tar through odin or used a ROM from @gigilie or another dev .

Thank you. I was did preserve root. for lollipop but what happen I let my nephew play on my phone and he ran safestrap and i was stuck in a bootloop. I couldn't get it out no matter what. I was in the bootloader OC1. I was one of the guys that help Muniz achieve root for everyone. We were having Wifi issues but i told him i would upgrade my bootloader to help if it would fix it. but it was the kernel. So i needed to used samsung kies to get my back up. So thats how I lost root. But thank you for your help.

Fyi...... @dgutierrez04 was the guy that pulled the OC1 ota update for me when no one else could due to the two part 5.0 update. He also took one for the team during testing of the OC1, Stock Rooted ROM so many of you enjoy today by updating his bootloader to OC1.
I assume he has no backup phone.
That said, it seems a lot of people have to use Kies... as Odin reports fails...
I did not root my I545 verizon so now I have lollipop oc1. My question is should I not take the next upgrade for lollipop or at this point does it make a difference as far as getting root?
Thoughts are more than welcome

No I do not have a backup phone. But hey that's how we learn. I will do it again for the community if I can capture again the update and test it for everyone I would. I am a te player. I wish I could built roms but I'm not that smart lol.

I suggest is to wait and hope they can find a root method and try to avoid future updates as off right now. That's what I would suggest you doing as for me I will be doing the same.

Neither am I(smart enough for a ROM build). As much as I love Unix, it isn't a full time playground. Still loving Visual Basic and batch...
My wife's V10, at&t version, was rooted a few months ago. Large system update, i assume MM, keeps failing. Can i unroot or in some way update to MM without wiping?
She's not tech savvy, setting her phone back up EXACTLY the way it was would be a major pain if having to wipe.
Edit: i dont see the answer so forgive if redundant, does flashing tot back to stock wipe? If not i think that might work
Devs, anyone? Pretty pls?
