Making CFW Note 5 work friendly.. spoof stock rom? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
I have a 920t Note 5 rooted and flashed with V11 of Darthstalkers rom.
Issue is; I need to use Bloomberg Professional but it seems as though the app is blocking my connection. I'm able to sign in on other rooted but non CFW devices but Bloomberg on my Note 5 never authenticates my login credentials.
Is there a way I can make the app think I have a stock rom?
Thanks

[Q] Rooting and Unrooting & Airwatch

I plan to root my Samsung Galaxy S Grand(the single SIM edition not the DUAL) to be able to update the phone to 4.3 or 4.4 and to be able to uninstall all the carrier software branded application. I would also the install a custom ROM. In other words I want to make my phone a "Google Play Edition" style, like they did with the HTC ONE & Samsung Galaxy S3. The ROM would then have to be a standard basic android ROM.
I plan to root with Kingo.
Here is then my problem, to be able to receive my work e-mail to my phone I need to have the Airwatch MDM Application installed, which then requires a non-rooted phone to work.
So would I be then able to Root my phone, install a custom ROM and then un-root my phone with the custom ROM and install the Airwatch App and getting it to work?
Anyone has any tips to offer? Is there a great guide of how to install a new ROM? Thanks!

First thing the kingo android root is the best rooting software in my opinion even though there is no air play in it so i contact them and told that they will have a new update for the software
so, if you want a custom rom on your device then go to google play an type in rom manager or goo manager both are the same
for any inquiries just mail me a message or just replay it:laugh::laugh::laugh:

I have the same challenge. So far I was able to succesfully use Airwatch on custom roms up to 4.2.2 on my Galaxy S4. After installing and tweaking the custom rom you need to remove root from the rom. From then onwards Airwatch is fine. As soon as you root again Airwatch will detect it and disconnect your phone from the service.
On the S4 on Android 4.3 and 4.4 roms Airwatch wants to use the Knox containers which is only available on stock firmware.
Any custom rom will fail therefore because Knox will be disabled on custom roms.
I am not sure if Knox will be part of the firmware on your phone as well, if not, you can try the approach above with removing root before start using Airwatch
I know this is an old thread, but for anybody who stumbles across it, I have created a module that should fix these issues:

[Q] unroot with blekota?

Hi I have searched here and google but can't find a definite answer as I think it will be rom specific. Also annoying as my old account had enough posts to go straight to rom forum but cant access and its registered to a closed email address
Anyway, I have an s3 gt i9300 (international version - English Virgin mobile) and I have it rooted with Blekota's S5 lite V7.0 rom installed. Everything is working as it should etc and I would really like to keep the ROM. But in order to use my mobile banking app (Barclays) it needs to be unrooted. Is it possible with this ROM? I know some require root access to run and some don't.
Or is there a way of fooling the app that the phone is not rooted?
Is there a way I can safely unroot and if there are glitches just root again?
Should of said I have I have tried root cloak but doesn't work and I hit the unroot in SuperSU but it just hangs (waited 20 mins).

Official Global Redmi Note 3 3i Pro Prime Special Edition

Hello,
I have received of this particular Redmi Note 3 Pro Prime Special Edition (3GB Ram one).
It comes with MIUI Global 7.3 Stable 7.3.7.0 (MHRMIDE).
Now I see there are so many different guides and version and I would like to confirm before proceeding.
Essentially I want to unlock the bootloader and install custom roms (CM).
What is the best way to proceed?
Install Developer Edition (miui_HMNote3ProtwGlobal_6.9.29_f35a25dd3f_6.0) downloaded from http://en.miui.com/a-232.html ?
I am planning to do it via Updater application from the phone.
Have made a request via website for unlocking the bootloader. Anything else I need to do?
Thanks
Almost everything same with kenzo (RMN3 Snapdragon).

make sure you are signed into both i.mi.com and your phone using the exact same credentials.
I've unlocked mine probably a dozen times now, with some rom's locking and me reflashing over and over again. No issues, never got stuck at 50%. I've only ever used my email account to link to Mi account, never my phone number.

swap rom from xiaomi to global

Hi all, I purchased the redmi 3 when it first came out for the gf. Still going strong, great phone for her.
When I got it it didn't have a global ROM, so I unlocked the boat loader officially and then installed the xiaomi 'global' ROM as an interim
Time has passed and I never got round to switching her to official, which of course is now a new android version ahead.
What's the most painless way of switching her?
If I was to put the official one as a zip file on the phone, could I update using the updater app? Would it lose all her apps and settings?
Any advice / first hand experience welcome. thanks

fastest androind 6 or 7 rom for note 2?

Greetings, I am on stock android 4.2.2 and i want to root and upgrade it to a very light ROM so i can run some games for my nephew on it. My Note 2 is laying around for so many years. What do you guys think which ROM should i use? Thanks and Happy Holidays
Do you mean 4.4.2 or 4.1.2?
If 4.1.2:
You can unlock your bootloader with Casual No You Verizon and install any ROM made for this device.
If 4.4.2:
Was your bootloader unlocked on a previous firmware? If so you might be able to get any ROM made for this device if it's still unlocked. Otherwise you cannot unlock it on 4.4.2 and are limited to ROMs that don't require custom kernels and that are based on TouchWiz, like Ditto Note 3. Ditto Note 3 is good but the wifi didn't work for me. You can install custom ROMs with Safestrap recovery. I'm about to upload a guide that goes over all this as soon as I have enough posts to do so.
