Another EMMC brickbugged i9300. Unless you replace the EMMC chip on the PCB, your phone is kaput. Or get another motherboard. And don't even think about getting your stuff back. They're either done for or locked because what EMMC brick bug, as the name suggests, it's a bug of a specific batch of EMMC chips that after some number of IO operations or some other condition, it just locks, leaving only the first part of the EMMC working, < 1 megabyte in my researches. In reality, your EMMC is not done with, it could be accessed IF you have a device which can reset the EMMC controller or something like that.
Or just flash a .pit file for your device model and capacity, something like i9300 xxg.pit, replacing the xx with the capacity of the EMMC, 16, 32 or 64 gigabytes.

Don't think so.
I have been flashing the captivate, s2, s3,s4,s5, note 1, note 2, note 3, note 4, etc. for several years and have often revived the "no pit partition" error when using incompatible it USB cables and ports.
If using the original USB cable doesn't work, try flashing with a pit file.
In my experience flashing a pit file will 9 times out of 10 doorstop the device. Flashing that bootloader "might" allow the emmc to reset, or it may doorstop the device. So, the choices are your way (90% chance of killing it) or my way (50% chance of killing it).
So logically thinking me chose not to reveal the ultimate killing method just yet. I also presumed that the ol' cable and port routine was already done seeing as he already has a response from the device.
I also presumed that after doing some research on the matter before I suggested it that, seeing as many other people have reported that it has fixed a no pit condition on "thought to be dead" devices, it would be a better option than attempting the said ultimate device killing option.
I also believe that there is a method for flashing the bootloader via download mode should a minor amount of research be done on Google.
So, it would be better if YOU did the research before commenting instead of coming out with useless, degrading, ignorant, self righteous, arsehole (full of s**t) posts like yours before taking random potshots at people who have actually spent a couple of years with the device in their hand and are still learning new things to this day. Maybe a more constructive comment like "you missed the bit where he can only get to download mode, maybe he could use the .tar version".. But no. Too much..

Edit: you're suggesting flashing a bootloader and then a stock ROM, and then vo on to say that MY advice with flashing a .pit, which by the way, IS MISSING, can killi it? And where did you get those numbers? 50 per cent, 90 per cent? Don't mess with me, KILLING OPTION? Go tell that to the Samsung Service Centre in Tokyo, they will laugh at you. Spare me of this please, and don't bother to quote this post, i will not provide further assistance, happy bricking devices, no, "fixing" devices. Oh, and I solved an efs problem some time ago on my i9305, everything was ok, serial no, imei, but no network. Found a backup, extracted it and flashed it dirrctly through ADB with the dd command. Working like new since then.
I guess you have YEARS of experience in flashing devices. Ok. But i might want to get gour attention to remove the last paragraph and show what part of my post was "useless", "degrading" or "self righteous" before starting to throw accusations around. I try to help here, so please, I have had Android devices in my hand, rooted, flashed stock and custom ROMs since the days of the Galaxy Mini. I have even revived many low end Mediatek devices with "irrecoverable" errors, and have a part time job at a GSM service here. Why didn't YOU tell him what to do if you are so HIGH and MIGHTY that you can't take another opinion but your own. And every time someone came into the GSM store i worked with a Samsung device with those symptoms, it was an eMMC brickbugged device which could not be recovered. I have tried bootloaders, pit files, cables, ports, machines, laptops, you name it. None worked. I even desoldered the eMMC and tried to access it via some instructions i found online. Nada. Nothing. So please stop talking like you know everything. I don't and have never said I know anything. FIN
Guys lets not let this turn into a flame war please, ALL OPINIONS are welcome and we also welcome debate but keep it polite please. Just because someone has a different opinion to you doesn't give you the excuse to be rude.
I'm surprised no one has suggested trying kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery btw, If i only had download mode that would be my first port of call

Hello there Sir could you be more specific about kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery.
Sorry I'm a noob.
:|
Some older phones are not supported by Smartswitch so you would need to use Kies.
http://www.samsung.com/us/smart-switch/
Download and install Kies first. Once installed, there is an upgrade/recovery under the options.
If your phone is not supported by Kies, try SmartSwitch.
Good luck.
Remember, we were all newbies at one point.

You missed the bit where I "didn't say" you were wrong about the brickbug but if you've tried everything why suggest a known defunct method aka pit file knowing that it won't work.
If you came here for an argument you need to give your head a wobble, you won't get one. I couldn't care less who you've worked for or been with, you know jack about my background which "could" be more than yours.
So "Mr HIGH and MIGHTY", I say that because the bully always projects their insecurities on others as you have, no one said who was better than anyone so I suggest you climb down out of that Ivory tower before someone knocks it down around you. "no more fixing bricks" blah blah.. That is a PERFECT example of how much of a whiny little tart you are. Grow up and grow a pair of balls. "High and mighty".. D**khead comment that m8. Your true colours are showing.
Your personal interaction skills leave "A LOT" to be desired.

same with me sir, when powered on normally it goes to a white screen. sometimes with multicolored dots. I also tried flashing with pit files only and pit files with the roms but no luck.
Is there any other way to revive this phone? Kies tries to connect but never completes connection, suggesting to reboot the device then all the same thing happens. It would really be a big help and I know that many will benefit if and when someone will have a clear solution. Cheers to the XDA community!!!

Hi there!

I also used Gingerbreak 1.10 but it stays in epxloit phase forever...
The phone is baught in Greece, provider is Cosmote and Kernel is:
[email protected] #2
I cant root it!!!!
OK some more info.
It stays in Download mode forever. When I remove battery and start it it starts and boots fine (not rooted though)
Every method fails!
I even used the automated odin 185 process again failed and froze at zimage
I also downloaded the patched KF3 tar for my kernel, used odin in download mode, again frozen forever!
Nothing I can do!!!!
It doesn't seem like you read or followed any guide.
Go to the dev forum, cf-root thread and follow the instructions. Make sure you installed Kies to get the drivers and then close Kies and kill EVERY process in task manager that belongs to Kies. Now you can use Odin, according to the guide!

Instead of throughing accusations on people having problems try to be more helpful or dont post at all.
I was the owner of a Samsung Galaxy S and now a S G 2.
I am also the Head IT and the man responsible for a group of S.A. companies that have over 250 mobile connections.
I have rooted many devices before S G 2 (HTC mainly and a few S Galaxy S) and it's something I can do very easily thanks to the very helpful guides that exist here in this forum that even non-experienced users can very easily follow.
The S G 2 was the first phone to cause such a problem to me!
The answer to my problem has been found by me and it was no other than the USB ports I used.
For some reason they were stuck and when the process would begin at odin it would freeze at the zimage task and stay there forever. The Gingerbreak 1.10 doesnt seem to work anyway for my kernel.
After switching USB port for the third time the whole process completed successfully.
Installing a fresh Kies copy (I never use it but the usb drivers are there) was something I did even before receiving the phone from the post.
A different solution would be to use 32 bit O.S. because 64bit O.Ses have such problems in other devices as well (a week ago I tried jailbreaking an IPhone 4 and a thousand errors occured while trying to upgrade to 4.3.3. When I installed Itunes in XP everything was perfect and everything was done flawlessly)
So there u have it ppl if you get such error in rooting try switching usb port or use 32 bit operating systems.
S G 2 Rooted (d3l1 - JJEgan thanks for nothing I guess)!
With the lack of information you provided there was hardly anything to help you with. So I assumed and started explaining the basics. My fault if it offended you, it wasn't meant that way!
And it's correct to assume a software problem given the very little information in post 1 which mostly is forgetting to end the Kies processes causing Odin to hang/crash.
So maybe you should provide more information as to what can be ruled out, post 1 gives us nothing to rule out.
I admit that the information I gave could not make things clear on what my knowledge and my experience is. However if you wanted more info you could ask and I would be happy to provide. Your post was not that offending but the next one was...I found it very upseting asking for help and getting replies like that. Perhaps my lvl was unclear....but someone can always ask. Your post alone wouldnt bother me so much. I guess its the combo with the next one. Anyway no prob mate!

I apologise for putting in print my thoughts that you are an idiot .

You are So pathetic... So my guess is that if from software point of view everything is perfect and u get the yellow COM signal in Odin and u have selected the correct patch for your Kernel and Odin starts fine and freezes at some point in a PC you have rooted several other phones your guess would be the usb port. Send me a CV and I will pass it to my boss so that you can take my job! Looking forward to it!

At some point in the phones life I must have flashed a stock att because now I can't return to stock I717M. ODIN MODE say I am using a Product: SGH-I717 : Instead of the intended SGH-I717M. I am investing the time because the phone is crashing imminently and/or immediately after a odin stock flash.
Oddly enough my Product numder and SN: are coming back with an error in Kies aswell. At this point I am flashing in circles :silly: and really just want to start from the lowest common denominator for this phone as a base with proper .pit and CSC ... etc. so this is 100% official stock I717M and all the threads I read are resolved by standard flashing protocol but not mine!
Many of the automated flashes that you just drop on the PDA line cause issues in stock recovery mode by missing the CSC and I can't account for all the crashing. Perhaps SOMEHOW finding my way back to "M" will do this ? I think... : )
Thanks ahead of time everyone for your help :good:

Thanks for the quick reply ... I have done this though and receive an error with the .pit file.
I am using ODIN 1.85 it starts the process and ends in error. The phone reads SECURE CHECK FAIL : PIT
But unlike the individual in the thread I have a more serious issue because I am using a I717M and using this method and receiving the error he had with a mismatched phone !?! This to me indicate somehow my phone thinks it's a i717( ) not a I717M. Kies sees only a I717 and when I force a "Firmware and Upgrade Initialisation" from the menu it stays exactly the same. When I use SGH-I717M and my SN to restore to factory I get : Model name: SGH-I717M : 'SGH-I717M' does not support initialising. All you can click is OK,
Now what ?
Thanks again for the help ...

not that I am a brainchild in this department, or any other for that fact, but I read a lot and have not heard of this one.
I sometimes think if I ask questions, would or could this inspire others to come up with the solution.
have you called your carrier? can they not help you?
have you tried uninstalling drivers and re-installing for Kies purposes? to try an "emergency firmware recovery" (I think that's what it was referred to as)
what modem shows on phone? and can you flash appropriate modem to carrier?
you mentioned PIT file in PDA slot? I have always used .TAR files (maybe same thing, different terminology?)
as I said, just questions that come into my mind. maybe help troubleshoot?
good luck my friend
one more***********************
I just went to link recommended by the GOAT guy ( sorry for raping your name).
noticed post #1 was titled for BELL and listed files. then I went down and saw post #4 were files for ROGERS. did you notice that?
you didn't say which was your carrier
The only thing I can think of is I had a brick at one point and me and a service tech JTAG'd in the files : could this explain why my phone thinks it isn't a I717M?
I using Mobilicity and a AWS modem/hack
Thanks for advice everyone this is quite the problem and is clearly unresolved as it just wont take the .pit file and if I use the pda/phone part only only the pda will even flash from that post. So no CSC, graveyard, pit... all of which I need.

I used it and it proceeded unlike 1.85 but I still have a fail on the PIT : and when I reset and go into download mode it says SGH-I717 and Secure Check Fail: PIT at the bottom: in recovery mode i get a smashed android and a error about a genaric CSC and that it is still using ATT CSC !?!? Also a very concerning error regarding sdcard E: cannot be found ?!? this is new...
Yes and it WILL NOT BOOT '.':crying:
Can anyone confirm too if I should be seeing I717M in odin and recovery modes
At one point I worked with a service tech at the local JTAG shop took us all afternoon but we got it to boot out of a hard brick loopback dongle wasn't working. I THINK he put the ATT kit on my phone from JTAG and that is the problem now ...
Does anyone with a good handle on this stuff know if I can use the feared "NAND ERASE ALL"I am scared but it seems to make sense that is what it is ...
Anyone care to say they agree I have no right to hold anyone accountable and at this point I am running out of optinos ... it would semm..
Sincerely S:silly:
Does not matter what region phone you have. Whether it is att or a Canadian carrier this ROM should install. Did you follow directions in that thread fully? Since you are using a pit you have to select repartition in the check boxes.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I497 using xda premium
Couldn't be more straight forward and I followed the instructions exactly. There were frankly no more than 2 sentences of instructions. Which I followed, regarding the check box for repartition it got selected automatically when you put something on the .pit line. I have not tried without repartition checked. I figure this might be a case for NAND ERASE ALL
See If it takes the csc..and firmware
the partition table shouldn't need flashed, all variants are partitioned the same.
What is up with these canadian variants? There are so many posts about not being able to flash, superuser not taking, modem having to be reflashed. Just don't see this with the ATT version. I wonder if there is another script causing all this....

here we can see odin blazing through without an issue but !! the same .pit error occurs and after reset the system boots to TWRP recovery instead of stock !?!?!! A huge log of errors also occur regarding not being able to find internal storage the TWRP directory and EMMC not formatted or mounted ?!?
When I boot to ODIN it says current binary : CUSTOM ?!
I am really confused now..
I need a couple things answered :
1) does I717(M) varient display the (M) in ODIN when on the proper download mode or do they all say I717 ?
2)When Odin mode says stock binary : Yes (for all intents and purposes is it a mirror copy (modem, boot, recovery, pit etc.) ?
3) If not what is likely different ? (ie how could I send it back for stock repair or resell as the original)
4) Now everything seems to be worse in the sense that every rom is locking and freezing after you click android to start setup after a long wait possibly the second screen it reboots ?
5) in stock recovery I get a Update from RB fota mode now ? how does that work from recovery ? I thought it would need internet access at least.
THANKS EVERYONE :good::good::good::good::good::good::good:
A couple questions for you..... You mention in stock recovery you get "Update from RB fota mode now" but you said earlier that after you install and it reboots you back to TWRP? Now which is it?
Are you installing the stock gingerbread ROM with ODIN when in "Download Mode" on the phone? Hold "Power" and "Volume Down" down. Can you get the phone to boot enough to format the internal (usb) memory? I don't know if that option is available in stock recovery or if it functions correctly in TWRP. This is not the same as a full wipe. I know stud will say it has nothing to do with installing ROMs. But I know 2 people that had a similar issue as you ( 1 being me) and the only way the write would take is if the internal (usb) memory was formatted. This leads me to believe there is some kind of script stored there on Canadian variants.

That is a very intelligent perspective; presently I can say that I got the stock recovery in but only with ODIN 1.85 with phone boot-loader update checked off (gret in the new 3.x versions of ODIN). So I could never get the phone to format without error when using all 5 items
For the record THE ONLY WORKING STOCK SO FAR is :
[Stock ODIN] AT&T Jelly Bean Download
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261598
I found a Stock ODIN JB Bell Download from another site but it froze at every screen during setup until it would just reboot itself (seems like Kernel might be wrong though)
None the less me and all other (1717M)'s are in fact isolated in this condition to ATT stock roms and honestly; to be frank it could explain why I have been frustrated with the blaze modems on this thing since last July when I got it. I have spent days at a time trying to find a modem that wont drop and require a power cycle + 10 minutes to come back online.
Maybe Mr. Goat you are right, maybe me and a bunch of others are literally stuck with a I717 because of lingering scripts, wouldn't surprise me because TWRP was sticking around for a long time until I checked the bootloader format and only in 1.85 oddly enough.
WHAT I think the rational ones reading this should be questioning is why does my Download Mode ODIN read I717 no (M) after all these attempts to wipe and format and when using (M) varient stock roms the phone wont boot and crash like it has the wrong kernel (or modem) fixed with a ATT stock rom (on the surface anyhow). This would be fine if I didn't have a BELL serial number and clearly its something else.
For the extremely advanced I once found a thread (can't for the life of me find it again) where someone managed to change the model of the phone because it got changed I think during a JTAG. This would make sense as I had to do this too. I downloaded an app on the play store which used root and I allowed it to adjust SD-EXT for SD caching (BIG MIS-TAKE) Hard brick was the result. While I was getting help the app would auto execute on startup and time was running short so I imagine he pushed me to ATT stock. I want to make it bell again as my phone crashes a lot and I am not sure if this can even relate to it or not.
THANK YOU EVERYONE I AM VERY GRATEFUL
Did you even try the Odin version for Bell Jellybean?
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/213003896/d4f7f24/I717MUGMD1_I717MBMCMD1_BMC.zip.html
Or how about Bell ICS version for odin?
http://www.hotfile.com/dl/163095548/c1447e9/I717MUGLF4_I717MBMCLF4_BMC.zip.html
If you install a stock ATT ROM, the phone will report back as an I717. It has nothing to do with serial number. It has to do with software.
If you can install a stock ROM and it works then immediately format that USB memory and then do a factory reset.
And if your phone crashes alot, try a new battery. You might think it is good but it could be giving an incorrect voltage.
wish i could say this worked as it didn't still stuck without the (m) : using those downloads it loads to black screen have to hold power 15 seconds and it vibrates and back to the black screen...
Hello every one ... I know as a fact that I717M could be hard on patience .. as Bell uses HSPA and LTE instead of 2G and the others .. hard to find the right modem and others.
When i had that problem to revert to stock ... I got the full file for Stock Bell Jellybean (around 700 meg file zip) ... unzipped .. used odin 3.07 (recently seen 3.09 really good too) and placed the .MD5.TAR file into the PDA (called AP in odin 3.09) section .. had just the auto reboot checked and flashed good with it (important that it is the in second line option (the PDA one or AP in odin 3.09)
PS: I had my phone in download mode when flashing as it should ... (reboot holding volume down)
For the customer rom or counter that says you have been a bad boy .. I had to go on the thread for counter reset and that did it ....
hope it will help .. (recently had to do that often as I am trying tons of ROMs)
Cheers

Hii,
I have a problem. I cycled to the gym this morning and I was listening music on my Galaxy S3, Ii took the headphones out, put phone in my bag. 10min. later I looked at my phone and there was a strange message with something about the firmware, don't know what exactly. I couldn't do anything else than shut the phone down, now every time I try to start my phone normaly or in recovery the comes a wierd pattern of colors, most of it is white with some other pixels(look at the attached file), I don't know what it could be.. I think it's maybe something with the screen..
Hope someone can help me..

Try starting the phone in download mode (volume down+home then power). If it gives the same screen then looks like to need a repair center, you could try a USB jig but that screen pattern looks fatal to me.
If it boots to download mode then follow the guide in general, stickies on how to use Odin on your PC to flash a stock ROM.

Hehe, thanks, I totaly forget the download mode, only tried the recovery mode.. It boots and now I try to fix the custom rom or load the clockwork backup.
Well I tried to flash stock rom for the galaxy s3 with odin, but I don´t work. This is what Odin says±

need to re-partition. so search the threads on how to repartition. search for the required pit file...

The PIT-File is not for every S3 the same, right? I need one for the Europe version, so the normal S3 bought in EU but can't find one.
if yours one is of 16gb model than download the GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit.zip file from the attachment, extract it an you will get GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit. For re-partitioning the Galaxy S3 download the pit file from below link and in odin select the re-partition option choosse the .pit file and also your PDA file... and start re-partitioning. hope this works for you.
Note: The above file is only for 16Gb version dont use it if its 32GB or 64GB..
Keep in mind the below things:
GT-I9300_mx_20120220.pit = Galaxy S3 of 16 Gb
GT-I9300_mx_20120322.pit = Galaxy S3 of 32 Gb
GT-I9300_mx_20120329.pit = Galaxy S3 of 64 Gb
Well, big thanks. It was the 16gb version, but I've tried it but it won't work...
Don't know why but Odin gives me this fail, tried it serveral times...

Could it be that my battery is not 70-90%?
I think my phone charges but when plug it in, the same screen appears.
You said that the product name is blank? Then sorry it's an SDS for sure. Send it to Samsung for repair as there's nothing you can do about it.

well battery charge is not a problem because i have even flashed a custom rom when my battery charge was 20%. It would be better if the complete firmware file could be found ( with .pit, .tar.md5). it would be better if you send it to Samsung..
I don't think we can do more than this...
Ok, last try please try using this pit file

But the warranty was already void after root and custom theme. I will try the other pitfile and give report.
But if I send my phone to Samsung what could they do? I don't think they give me a new phone..

The phone is dead like what I told you earlier. If your S3 is on download mode and you see that the product name is blank that means that the eMMC partition is dead. No amount of PIT files can revive your phone. So if you're gonna give it to Samsung just tell them that you got the SDS. If you're out of the warranty period then you'll probably pay for the repair service.
Your situation is exactly the same as this one: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2451728

Thanks, I will visit a walk-in Samsung service center tomorrow. In any case, thank you very much for the offered help . Still things I need to do / not say to the service desk, or it is enough to say that it is an SDS?

Things not to say:
1. That you flash a PIT file.
2. You installed a custom rom.
Things to say:
1. Your device had an SDS.
2. Still SDS.
3. Yep. You got it. Still say SDS.
Kidding aside I won't guarantee that they'll buy your alibi since I've haven't visited their service centers for repairs yet (and I hope I won't... ever lol). But most of the service technicians there should know what an SDS is.
SDS is Sudden Death Syndrome if you don't know what that means.

Yes, its enough to tell SDS. you don't need to tell anything like it was rooted, custom rom was used. If it was in warranty period was not over tha nyou can claim them by just telling SDS, since there is no partition, neither the product name. So don't tell them anything about all this, you might be serviced for free.. if the warranty is over you have to pay for the repair service.
Samsung's LIMITED warranty is 24 months from dop.
Hi guys,
I'm in a bit of trouble. A few weeks ago I successfully installed CM 10 and everything was fine and working normal.
Then (I can't remember how) I must have somehow repartitioned or corrupted the file system on the device.
I am now stuck in a boot loop and can only go as far as download and recovery mode.
The message I get in recovery is 'E: failed to mount EFS'. I can see my EFS directory has been deleted/moved/corrupted and I believe I have done way more damage to the phone trying to repair it than before.
I have tried everything I can think of, stock ROM, different ROM, nandroid back up etc.
Although I can still get to recovery and download mode im pretty sure its done.
I have tried various tool kits such as the Samsung galaxy s3 toolkit and EFS professional etc, aswell as using the Android SDK and runing ADB commands through that to no avail. Half of the solutions I find on here that have helped other require USB debugging mode to be enabled, and I can't enable it because I cant turn the phone on, and there doesn't seem to be a command in ADB that will allow me to (Failsafe from Samsung).
I then arranged for teh phone to be serviced but I need to reset the flash counter. I cant use triangle away as I can't get into the phone and I can't seem to be able to do it through ADB. I don't think USB jigs reset the flash counter on the S3.
Its very frustrating as I seem to get somewhere then realise I need something else which I don't have access to.
If I can't repair the phone then I can send it off, but I need to be able to reset the flash counter,
Is their anyone here that could help me out? I have learned more about phones in this short period and its very interesting. well if your phone works..
I would be extremely grateful, Thank you

I don't think that you can now recover it by yourself. have you tried pit file to repartition it again, i think your partitions are deleted.. why don't you once try pit file to repartition the phone, else you wont have any other option than paying money to repair it..
Imo you flashed with wrong pit. Try m0.pit.

Also, is their anyway to reset the flash counter without using triangle away or to force run triangle away through ADB (which I doubt as I don't think ADB will automatically start the required function etc as its not booted into adroid)?

Im sure its not SDS just bricked from the start and more damage done to repair it. Now it won't boot into recovery after trying the .pit which was a last resort. I need to send it off to Samsung but the count is 15, ROM is Samsung Official and the last line is custom. (Im not with my phone I'm just remembering.)
Im sure its beyond repair i just need to reset the flash counter.

Well, my dear friends. Firt of all, thank you for all the work you do here. A lot of people around the globe admire and appreciate it. Thank you very much. So, that's there. Here we go. The problem is that my phone got disconnected while I was trying to flash a custom so it got what it's been called "semi-bricked" (thanks to my dear kitten). I tried to repair it almost 20 times now. I've changed the cable, I tried to use a different USB port, I also tried to do it in four different computers (all USB ports in each one of them), with all kind of files (maybe 5 pit files, MODE, etc.), and -of course- I've been intalling over and over again the drivers and the f***ing Kies (sorry) and the outcome is always the same:

I assume your phone is running download mode right? Because ODIN will only work while your phone is on download mode. Maybe the drivers you are installing are the incorrect ones (I know you would hate to hear this since you've probably installed it over a million times), where I would install it manually in device manager and using the have disk method and manually locating the .inf file. What about recovery mode? Since you *sort of* installed a custom rom (or kernel since you didn't specify the former or latter), there could be a chance that you now have a custom recovery (that's if you've let it installed enough, but your phone has a high chance of corruption).

Yes, indeed. The Download Mode is running perfectly. I've already tried to install the drivers in all sort of ways, my friend. When I try to enter into the Recovery the device instantly send me to the "firmware update has encountered a problem. please select recovery mode..." message. So there's no recovery. Thank you.

<ID:0/017> File analysis..
<ID:0/017> SetupConnection..
<ID:0/017> Can't open the serial(COM) port.
<OSM> All threads completed. (succeed 0 / failed 1)
My phone is a Samsung Galaxy SII GT-I9100P. Please, friends. I think I'm going mental about it. I'm just an amateur at this and my knowledge is very poor... so I cannot think about anything else to do. Help, please.
Greetings from Spain.
PS: Sorry for my English.

To all the people who might find this same issue with your devices I have the solution now: it was the phone's usb input. Maybe it got hit while it was charging or something, but today I tried again but holding it myself (with a little help from my girlfriend to press "Start" on my computer). So I could do it perfectly. It was a hardware problem.
