Hi,
Seemingly at once my pink Leeco lemax 2 4/32 GB developed two issues.
1. A white patch on the display. It is not a dead pixel, but some kind of back-lit issue i think. Only visible in bright background.

2. Ghost touch issue. My phone goes bezerk sometimes, especially in Chrome and will get ghost touches. It seems like the upper right three dots (menu) is pushed, sometimes the capacitive keys (back, menu, mulitasking) are "pushed" and sometimes it takes a screenshot.... madness...
Anyone with the similar issue or some other ideas?
I am on the latest official indian ROM and not rooted.
how long did you have the phone? I had the similar problem when I had my One plus one. I used it for 2 yrs and my battery finally died. After I replaced the battery , the screen went perfect.
Did you change screen protectors recently? The light spot is probably due to pressure on the LCD but that might be due to a defect.
Ghost touches are usually grounding issues. If it only happens while charging it's the charger, otherwise it's probably the ribbon cable to the screen not being insulated well enough. That's the issue with the one plus one.

Hi, just wondering if anyone elses' phone is having this issue?
On the lower left edge of the screen, there seems to be a small gap. Although it's not a big issue for me, it still makes me wonder if mine is the only one that has this issue.
I've attached 2 images that to show what I mean.

I think other than this minor issue, I've really come to like this phone a lot and have received numerous nice comments about it. And to most of them I've stated that this phone is not actually available for purchase locally (in Australia) through normal channels.
the gap is normal.
mine is the same. i am from singapore.
this phone is fantasic, compared to diamond, touch pro and xperia. previously i used those phones before
It's normal as I have observed the same on mine.
my phone is the same
but I have an engineer version of rose (different keypads etc) and I think that this problem was solved...
same here!
Thanks folks. Interesting to hear it's not juts mine.
But still, it's a little disconcerting to see the gap. I know if I press lightly on that edge it'll "close" the gap temporarily.
Same problem here; my S740 has light leakage on both sides. The left side of the device seems to have more than the right side. Looks like the front panel hasn't been glued well or something?
same over here in the netherlands. Only not so big as youre phone
my phone to have it
I've been using my TP for a month now, and my experience has been remarkably smooth compared to others. Yesterday night I noticed my backspace key on the keyboard wasn't responding. I whipped out SuperNote and scribbled on the screen, and lo and behold, there was a sizeable dead zone on the right edge in the middle.

I rebooted my TP, and the problem seems to have gone away. If it happens again, I'll bother Asus. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this little glitch, and if I should be worried. Also of note, my TP was sitting in my fairly chilly bedroom. When I picked it up, the metal back was cold to the touch.
Haven't experienced anything as drastic as that.
But there is definately something wrong with my touch panel. It is easy to notice when setting a background image and you get the option to crop the image. It is impossible to resize the cropped area to the very top of the screen. There will always be some space between the rectangle and edge of screen, unlike at bottom. So to fix this you need to drag the rectangle up and then resize it to the bottom edge of screen.
Is there any way to calibrate the touch panel like in some older touch devices?
i own a gear s and i have a problem with display. on the bottom part appeared a line from left to right and width/height of 1mm. the line stays there instead of the normal content during menu navigation.
i tried to reset or restart but no success. when the screen is off the line disappears also.
strange thing is that the color of the line differs according with the color of the screen
is it a hardware or software problem?
Just my opinion but it sounds like a hardware issue.

Is it something like that?
In my case it's vertical. Sometimes very visible - like you can see on pics below. Other time barely visible...

My Gear S had a similar white line, running vertical, on the right side of the screen.
Within a day or two, the entire screen was affected. It looked faded, streaky horizontally, still with the vertical white line on the side.
Now, the display does not work at all. Completely blank, black, no light whatsoever.
After opening it up, the liquid damage indicator is still flawless. And after putting it back together, the watch still works perfectly! You just have to know what should be on the screen.
What happened? What can I do?
I got my 1 III yesterday and noticed just now that there is a gray bar across the top of the screen. I do not recall seeing it there before. It almost looks like backlight bleed on a normal screen but I know it cannot be that on an OLED. If I go into another program like the camera app, the gray bar goes away which points to it being a software issue. Is anybody else having this issue?
I was able to take a picture of it:

Click to collapse
I also have it in my Xperia 1.. so it's a part of the wallpaper and I was like you but then I realized it's not a hardware problem. so, no worries! your phone is intact
S23 Ultra when viewed under 365nm UV flashlight looks like something is behind the screen glass as pictured.

My iPhone 14 Pro Max looks the outer area of the screen.
The "blob" looks almost like something is under the screen.
Viewed normally, the screen looks perfectly fine.
If anyone has one of these lights, can you check your phone to see if it looks like this?
Other phones have this too. Did a cursory google search. First page threw up results like these:
This was seen on the Note 9 and Note20 Ultra. It likely has to do with the adhesive to the frame but it doesn't effect the screen in normal lighting. Given the prevalence, it's probably not a defect.
First time I noticed this. I will check my Pixel 6 Pro next.
Interestingly enough none of the iphones show this.
I gonna guess that it's the OCA/LOCA (Liquid - Optical Clear Adhesive)
All modern phone screen use either one of those two to glued the glass to the image display panel.
