B322 setting notification tones - Huawei Ascend Mate 2

I have just flashed back to B322. I forgot how to set the notification tones. I was thinking there was something funny you had to do to make them stick. Anyone still running stock B322? Thanks

Ringtones and Notification change on their own

So, I have a strange issue that it seems no one else has seen.
My Ringtones and Notification sounds will change when the phone is rebooted.
This has been happening since i got the phone. It has happened with every Samsung firmware and it still happens now that I am running Bionix Fusion 1.1
I have even tried moving all the ringtones and notifications that I use into the system sounds folder (/system/media/audio/) in the subfolders for ringtones and notifications using root explorer.
I also tried moving and or renaming the sounds that get used by the phone when it changes the tones.
The strangest thing that has happened so far is that I renamed the battery full notification sound, but I left it in the folder, today when the phone was charged up, the battery full notification played.
any info at all would be appriciated, thanks

Question about Default settings

So... I happen to have extreme OCD with settings on all my electronics, and I like to know that I can return all my settings to default if I happen to change something I don't like. Is there some way to restore all settings on the phone (with stock ROM) to default?
In particular, is there no way to restore the volume settings to default? If anyone hasn't changed their volume settings, I would like to know whether the default notification and system volumes are 2/3 of the way to full like the default ringtone is, or if they are all the way up?
For as ocd as you sound, just flash
the stock image and take notes of everything.
That way you won't have to 'worry' if people are giving inaccurate responses.

Well I actually did put it back to stock, but somehow it actually messed up my settings... I was hoping someone actually knows the settings... plz help
Dude, I'm sorry but you need to work on your issues. I mean no disrespect and if I knew flashing back to stock would give you the values you're looking for I would do it for you. But volumes are meant to be changed. That's why there's a slider bar on all of them. Stock values by the manufacturers description are whatever your ears like.

System Notification Sounds

Not sure where to post this.
Anyone rooted who can grab the system notification sounds? I want to put the "NewMessage" one my rooted Samsung phone, so I have the same sound playing when both get a msg. lol

GO SMS PRO Notification vibration

I searched and couldn't find any one else posting this question. I just got the Note last night. I've used Go SMS pro for a long time and want to stick with it. Everything set up fine except the notification doesn't vibrate. I sent them a request but I doubt I'll hear back.
I still have my tbolt and double checked all vibration settings and it still doesn't work. Has anyone had this problem and fixed it?
Thanks

Same issue here. When I set my phone to vibration mode via widget locker, I don't get vibration notification. Fix will be appreciated!
Are you saying you get vibrations at other times?
I just set the phone to silent mode and then it works....hmmm that doesn't make sense. I'm I missing something?
Actually the only sounds I like are vibrations for texts(no tone), phone calls and my alarm. So I would be good if I could hear the phone and the alarm
Ok this is weird.
In silent mode, if I adjust the haptic vibration it determines how much it vibrates in Go sms, even if I have haptic feedback turned off. Notification vibration doesn't effect the gosms notification vibration afaict
So I uncheck silent mode and check haptic feedback. Nope doesn't work...So does this happen to others with Go SMS pro? I'm also using Go Launcher if that matters.
I wasn't getting much help because this was probably an erroneous problem. I think the issue was restoring my settings that I had saved from my previous phone.
I decided to just uninstall/reinstall and do the settings manually.
Works fine now....
Makes we wonder about other settings and backups I restored...
Similar issue
Go SMS vibrates for notifications, but it's not as intense as the stock messaginf app. I've checked all my settings...everything checks out, but it's hardly noticeable in my pocket. I've tried reinstalling it, but it has the same results.

I have inverse issue. I am unable to turn OFF the vibration. Permissions work all over the system except the SMS notification in Go SMS. It won't stop vibrating in any mode and in any case. I have tried all apps but unable to fix it.
BTW, I have sky vega 760S, it is rooted but I am unable to install CWM or any custom recovery. If I could flash a custom ROM, like I had CM10 in my previous 760, this issue had been gone.

[Q] Vibrate Doesnt WORK????

Hello Everyone
Ok so ill state what i have first
Im running toasts CM9 rom previously i was on Miks Sense 3.5
anyway when i was on that rom vibrate would work fine for text messages, and that was the first time as it didnt work on any other roms either.
And now im on toasts CM9 and the vibrate doesnt turn on for texts at all....it works for calls and when im changing volume but if its a message nothing...basically all i get is the screen stays off and all of a sudden the notification light is blinking thats it...i tried SMS popup and it didnt do anything either.
So can anyone give me some advice.
Also if anyone can recommend an app to make texts appear on my tablet and allow me to send them from the tablet as well (i have juiced defender on my phone so its an issue with certain sms apps)
thank you
probably a stupid question but have you tried fixing permissions through recovery or reflashing the ROM? might be that your vibrator could be going out.. just my 2 cents
yeah i tried that just now thanks for the advice but it didnt work out
the strange thing is that vibrate works for everything else but texts
In your messaging app, click 'menu, settings' then there should be an option for notifications, and a checkbox for 'vibrate when notifications received' or something similar since I'm not on CM9.
