I think there hv only Cm13 & lineage13 for redmi 4 (prada)...wait some days for More.?
It can be ported the same way they did with LineageOS/CyanogenMOD 13

That device seems quite popular, I'm surprised sources aren't available because then it would be a piece of cake to compile it from source

Xiaomi.
markw's sources has been released already after 2 months of it's launch, but not prada's which bothers me why
I hope they will release it because we can't really do anything with this device alone

Redmi 4 prada has Qualcomm chipset and not Mediatek
Seriously why can't they just release it... Having the china global sucks... Too much chinese bloatware

Better donate the money to the guy that booted Nougat on the 3S, he has already proved useful work, not only promised.

You said it yourself, because it's MTK. MTK phones hardly ever get custom ROMs. If custom ROMs are important for you, get a phone with Qualcomm SoC

There are global and China dev roms ok, the weekly releases have been suspended however as they are working in a closed beta to optimise things. They expect to release again in August, my guess is we will see miui 9, but not hopeful it will be nougat based.

I can confirm u that xiaomi won't provide official android 8.0 to redmi note 4 thats why i hope xiaomi provides 7.1.2 update atleast

Devices like redmi 4 have already got the update so don't u think xiaomi would have already provided the update and also i can't see any information about it being in beta update so i think xiaomi will not provide it
I still hope that we will get Oreo in future because it sells well. Btw they are looking for alpha testers of China rom for Mi6 based on oreo so it will take time to provide oreo for other devices

Hi:
There is no MIUI 6 for this device. You can install MIUI 9 (current version) or MIUI 8. Both are based on Android 6
