Unlocked LS992 used on GSM Network bu can't access data - LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hey guys I was hoping that someone on here could help me with an issue on my LG G5. It is originally a Sprint G5 and I recently got it unlocked to use on AT&T's GSM network. Call/text works on it now after days of unlock struggle, but the data still won't work.
I have the MSL code and I have tried ##3282# to see what I can do on that menu, but nothing works. My APN settings under mobile networks doesn't let me change/add any networks so I'm just stuck. What should I try next?

[Q] AT&T to AIO issues with mobile data

I am having some issues making the switch and needed some help.
I purchased my Galaxy S2 from AT&T awhile back, rooted and installed task650's AOKP rom after I had issues with the ICS update, and have been running the latest build happily ever since with no problems. After my contract was up I got an unlock code from AT&T, purchased a sim from AIO and installed it. The phone booted up and never asked for the unlock code. I am able to make and receive calls and texts, but mobile data doesn't work. WiFi works just fine. I installed and ran GalaxSimUnlock and Galaxy S Unlock. Both programs indicated my phone was unlocked.
Is this an issue with AIO? The signal bars say AT&T on the phone, but I just assumed since AT&T owns AIO this was normal. Do I need to install a different rom and try to unlock again? I am going to try and track down a sim from a different carrier and see if that works. I have tried dialing *#7465625# to check the unlock status, but it returns the error "connection problem or invalid mmi code".
I have searched for answers, but I am clueless. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Sounds like your APN settings are not configured correctly with your new sim. Go into your APN settings and let us know what is set.

Here are screenshots of the only settings I could find.
I went on aio's site and found how to manually enter APN settings.
Followed the directions and all seems to be working now! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

Hang on to that unlock code. When I moved from AT&T to Net10, my phone didn't ask me for an unlock code either. Net10 and AIO both use AT&T networks. But when I went to Canada and bought a local SIM there, it asked me for the code. Luckily, I had saved it.

[Q] Verizon S4 on Metro PCS internet troubleshooting, help

Hello from a noob. I have done the saferoot, text edited the sales dat to AWS and changed the other file (forget the name) from OFF to ON. Basically I switched the IMEI on my Metro account to a 545. I kept the same SIM. The store says there demo SIM does not pick up the internet either. The internet worked for 2 minutes and now there is no logo (4g lte, H+ etc) and no connection to the internet at all. I have tried going into the bands etc. but I think I'm missing something (I guess obviously). I have done "everything". Updated the APN settings etc. etc. It is stock rom except the root and the minor text edited changes. It is on 4.3 android. Can anyone out there please tell me how to turn off the stupid VZN LTE band option (I think that is my problem) however when I put in the *#276... command it doesn't pull up the menu that lets you access the band option like I've seen on Youtube. It gives me a different menu with UMTS at the top. I still haven't found the turn off the VZN LTE option. Any help at all would be appreciated. The dialing and text messaging work so it's a clean phone but for some reason the phone is blocking my damn internet. Thanks for the help.
When you installed the MetroPCS SIM, did you configure the APN to use their network?

Yes sir. I have done it all and nothing has helped. My only thought is finding that switch for the Verizon band or something else in the programming but I can't get to that damn menu. And the *#276.. number is not working on the phone anymore either.
So for those interested that may have Metro and are having the same problem I finally just updated the phone with the stock 4.4 firmware (clean wipe and all that) with Odin and it now works and the LTE no longer shuts off. After hours and hours of agony I finally did it. I tried rooting and everything on 4.3 and I don't care that I lost root - I'm just glad it works now. I do appreciate for what it's worth all the information on here and best wishes to you guys for all the future modding, unlocking the bootloader and all of that. See you around.

Bought a Unlocked tmobile v10 on swappa, anything I need to know to use on MetroPCS?

Hey Guys I bought a unlocked tmobile v10 on swappa that I wanna use on metropcs. I'm currently on verizon and will be moving to metropcs. I ordered my sim card yesterday. Will I have any trouble activating my sim in the v10? When I type in my phone on the list on metropcs it doesnt list it as compatible but I know it will be. Ive heard metropcs sims are linked to the imei on the phone and only that phone. So I have to reactivate any time I swap my sim in and out of different phones.
Also will I need to change any APN settings for metropcs or does it use all the same bands as tmobile does?
Thanks Guys Cheers!:highfive:
The APN settings will be locked when you get the phone, so you'll need to go into the dialer, dial 277634#*#, find "APN Unlock", click that then select the unlock option. Reboot your phone, then add your MetroPCS APN settings

Since MetroPCS is on T-Mobile's network, it's possible you won't even need to change your APN settings. If you do I imagine they'd have them on their website, but I've never used their service

Sprint LG G3 internet not working after rooting.

I bought this unlocked Sprint LG g3 LS990 through ebay India to use it as CDMA phone. But due to bugging sprint activation message and seller unable to help me get rid of it. I started messing up with phone and finally corrupted its software. Somehow I managed to root it back with Android version 5.0.1 and now i am using it as GSM phone. But the problem is that I am unable to do Internet settings in phone. Under Mobile Networks in Settings i dont get any option to add new APN. All i am getting is Mobile Data which should be ticked.
Then 4g settings under which network operator and IP address options are there.
Then Comes Network Mode which i have opted Global.
Then Connections optimizer and when i click on it, it says " Setup has not finished yet. Please try again later." Please help me how to get mobile data working in it. I am able to use wifi.
Thanks in advance.

Data is not working for unlocked MetroPCS LG Stylo 4 (LMQ710MS)

Got a MetroPCS LG Stylo 4. It was unlocked after 6 months of service. Tested on different network and it was working fine.
Recently it was sent to india as a gift. After inserting new sim, voice call is working fine. However data is not working not even 3g/2g. Tried different network. Same issue. Tried to network reset and even factory reset. Same issue.
Is it missing band problem? Or data is locked ? As long I know, phone can be network locked. But never seen data locked.
Any suggestion?
Phone's Android version is 8.1.0

Try this...
Also ran across this phone dialer code that opens the Stylo 4s hidden menu...
277634#*#
With it you can Grant permissions to edit APN settings, edit the ant settings, enter into engineering mode, etc..
Also edit band settings..
I know I edited my APN settings removed xcap Added fota,Hipri
And so far seems as if my mobile data is running more smoothly and a little faster. I'm not sure if it's true about removing xcap removes the ability to tunnel your data to keep up with usage, I do know changing these three things has helped my data tremendously.
