Hi all !
I have been using many different custom jellybean rome over the last month or so and have realised that they all have a noticable lag when you try to open the dialler or contacts from the home page especially for the 1st time or after you open the task manager and kill all running apps.
Does anyone have a explanation or fix for this as its really frustrating me and looks bad when someone wants you to add there number into your phone and see how slow it is to do so ....
Some of the roms i have used are : Criskelo, Dragon, Omega, Turkbey, Wanam lite to name a few.

its normal! but if it bothers you that much, try any AOSP or AOKP rom.. they're fast! none of the AOSP or AOKP roms have this issue..

Thanks for your reply but what are these AOSP or AOKP roms & what does the abbreviation stand ?
Android open source project & android open kang project.
AOSP is the 'rom' originally released by google.
AOKP is a rom based on AOSP but with some additions.

Not yet. Wait for official JB hopefully the issue is fixed.

So, I have been using many Jelly Beans, now I am using the stock from France, last released on 10/23/2012, and all f... JB have the lag when you try open the dialer or contacts because they are not cached background on boot, but the useless "help" icon, it is!
Does anybody know how to set dialer (secphone) and contacts as cached background processes starting on boot?
Can't stand those lags anymore on JB.

yes.lag is very big issue for me too.i have used original samsung 4.04 and jellbean 4.1.1. samung roms have got lag.stock dialer and touch wizard has got very bad lag.i have install dialer ex and nova laucher.no more lag...

Exactly the same for me. The dialer, call log and favourites contacts performance is a pain in the... I can't understand how a firmware is realesed where one of the most important apk is not working properly. My solution has been exdialer (which is working flawlessly).
sometimes I think, this is the difference between Samsung and Apple products (I hate to admit that)

Does anyone have the solution for this? Now I'm on 4.1.2, and the lag is still there, I can't believe , didn't anybody complain about it? Samsung doesn't have an answer for that? Is it impossible to make a fix?

it is because contacts & dialer are not kept in memory. There is a big thread in the General section about it already. Solution till now as I understood: use for instance exDialer

+ 'Whitelist 'Dialer/Contacts' on/off toggle (make sure Contacts stay in memory.. removes the lag!)

Exactly the same here. Even stock jb has this Lag. Such a fix will be a huge improvement.
i just tried deluxe settings but it doesnt seems for me to do the trick. i am on omega v37.

i have a Wave 3 with single core 1.4ghz and it opens Dialer,Messaging,Contacts,Camera and other stuff in like 0.3 seconds, iphone fast!

it has nothing to do with quad core ...
if u install cm 10.1 it opens instant too. its just the bad software that runs on the quad core. and u think the phone boosts up all cores just for opening dialer? play heavy games on both device than u got the true power of that phone

Well i think you may noticed that when you are on the lockscreen or viewing the recent apps, the background is still the same as the default launcher.
who is having the same issue ?

yes i do have the same issue. But you can change that on lock screen > background in you rom setting. For recent apps, i have no idea.

It is not a Issue!
Themer does not skin or change anything to the recent app screen
And In lollipop , recent screen is completely change in a way that it integrate with google launcher!!
Hi everybody! I am new here! I just want to ask if any of you are experiencing this little thing as well?
Is it just me or is there a small glitch in the padlocks bloom animation on the lockscreen in CM 10.2 on D802? It's as if the animation almost plays itself twice, but stops suddenly the second time? I know this is a minor issue, but it just gets to me a little bit as everything else is pretty much perfect for me with this rom! Is there any way to fix this?

Hello people. Im using Greenify with CM12 Nightlies, on OnePlus One, and if I give Acessibility permissions to Greenify, my AppDrawer animations become sluggish! Anyone also repaired in this?

Same problem here on my s5 with cm12 and when I do that with lightflow there is the same bug now I now why it happend thanks!

I am running this now on my 3T, on top of Freedom OS 2.8 stable and I have to say it lags really badly and causes a ton of battery drain.
I do not recommend it. Secondly, the homescreen is off centre if you have the display size on small.
Edit: it is hogging CPU, constantly 100% of the time. I removed Sense Homescreen now, no difference, something else in the framework must be it.
I'd be really happy if this works properly because I absolutely love HTC Sense, I had two HTC phones. Thank you OP for trying!

Thank you for your work, but I'm facing the same issue as @QUBiCA. CPU stucked at 100% and for sure the phone is hot as hell. Running stock OOS 4.1.3.

I'm on OnePlus 3T with aosp extended Android 7.1.2 ,launcher works but the gallery and music player force closes and the camera not even opening ,the HTC weather widget and weather app can't even find my location , to bad I love sense ui ,and I really appreciate for your work pls help me to fix it
