Hi Guys
I have stock version mm, locked bootloader, root and twrp recovery.
Is it possible to restore data (appĀ“s and settings) from a twrp backup after unlocking the bootloader?
Thanks in advance

Hi guys,
So I have an Xperia Z2 running the rooted stock 4.4.4 firmware. I just did a Nandroid backup and am feeling adventurous. My bootloader is locked, as it's possible to root the Z2 without unlocking it. I found out about the CM12 nightly 5.0 ROM and was wondering, if I flash that through TWRP (which I currently have installed), do I have to unlock my bootloader? Or do I not since I'm already this far in without unlocking it? And I'm correct to assume if I restore my Nandroid backup that restores my old ROM right?
So, I had my bootloader unlocked back when I was in kitkat (unsure whether I had version 4.4.2 or 4.4.4), but I had backed up my ta partition in case I wanted to relock the bootloader.
Fast forward to today, I am on lollipop (version 5.1.1) and I want to relock my bootloader. Note that I am on stock kernel.
Obviously enough, I have to restore my ta backup.
But I have some questions.
1)Do I have to downgrade to the android version the phone had when I took the ta backup, or I can simply flash the ta backup on my current android version?
2)During this procedure, does anything (such as data) get wiped?
3) Will I lose recovery during this procedure?

Hello,
I've unlocked and installed twrp. for now, i want to sell the phone, can i restore stock with lock and boot-loader with Twrp?
otherwise, any easy way?
Thanks.
I unlocked bootloader in official method. I flashed twrp and magisk. but after the latest Global beta, I've somehow lost both TWRP and magisk. that said, my phone is no longer rooted and the stock recovery is back. now i want to relock my bootloader. I never installed any custom rom. My question is, how to relock bootloader, and, if i do relock will all my data get wiped? like system reset or something? if so, is there any way to avoid that while relocking?
flash an official miui fastboot rom using mi flashtool and choose the option to clean and lock.
as far as I remember there is an option to keep data but you can backup everything to your PC before flashing
I want to root my phone. But it requires TWRP to be installed. To install TWRP I need to Unlock the Bootloader. To Unlock the Bootloader, I'll have to keep a backup of my data,as my phone erases everything on Unlock. To backup my Data, I need TWRP to be installed with Root Access.

Dude get over it and just rebuild your device I know it's a headache installing all your apps and preferences and all that but this time you have twrp and backup access it will all be worth it [emoji817]
