Hello respected developers,
We all now know that cyanogenmod has successfully been able to develop for Mediatek Devices by building official CyanogenMod ROM for Android One (MT6582) device. Now I want a help if anybody would like a new student.
I want to port this ROm to my Intex Aqua i14 which is also a MT6582 device and has Android 4.4.2 which is almost AOSP.
So can anybody guide me so that I can go ahead with my project I am intended to move ahead with?
Millions of thanks to the helpers.

The porting process is very easy but the tricky part is that you need to find ROM's with the SAME specs and with the SAME chipset
You''ll need Cygwin and Anroid Kitchen
You can follow this guide http://fabosums.blogspot.co.at/2014/02/port-any-rom-to-mtk-device-in-5-mins.html
Good luck and let me know if it works :good:
Android one got its kernel source released, and so the developer was able to successfully build cm11/from source, and fix all bugs
Most mtk phones don't have kernel source
Also android one's boot.img is apparently different from normal mediatek boot.img format
Anyway, cm can't do much about it
Ask your respective devices developer to build cm for it, if he can

Did you ported the ROM ??

Hello everyone, I've been wanting to build the CM13.0 for my Lenovo K3 note, maybe even the CM12.1 too. But I have a specific doubt which I know I shouldn't have before I proceed any further into learning about ROM development, so I'm asking all of you, please do answer.
The Lenovo K3 Note source code is made public by Lenovo, say if I were to download that and if I use that kernel, will I be able to successfully compile CM13.0 and boot?
I think that will work with the CM12.1 version as the Stock ROM and 12.1 are both Lollipop versions. So my question basically is, will the Lollipop Kernel(provided by Lenovo) work with a Marshmallow ROM(if I am to build one)?
It would be great if you could please elaborate your answers as I'm looking to learn and not just get done with one thing and get caught with another. Thanks for taking time.
Cheers!
Hey guys,
I've recently discovered a rom project, CypherOS, based on aosp and supported by a nice community.
Is there anybody here interested by porting it to Xperia X or becoming an official maintainer for this device ?
That would be awesome

Hello guys,
I'm interesting to make MIUI ROM working on my STF-L09 because I'm a fan of MIUI. I have downloaded Android SDK Tools on my Ubuntu, also Java JDK and now I want to make an flash rom with MIUI Patchrom source from github but I'm not sure with MIUI Patchrom source because on github I've found only kitkat patchrom source.
If anyone can help me with build, I will be very glad to make a cooperation with.
