iRULU expro1 7inch tablet bricked - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there, long time lurker and wanted to join finally.
I've got a small problem.
I have an Irulu expro1 7ich tablet, a33 processor etc. the chinese brand that is branded by just about any other chinese brand.
Allwinner A33 Quad Core 1.5GHz cpu, RAM:512MB DDR3 ROM:16GB Expandable by MicroSD to 32GB
Google Android 4.4.2 KitKat
mainboard v 2.4
q8_v2.4_1118
so i've got a bit of a challenge for you guys, and my self for the most part
i rooted it, it said it rooted correctly.
I was going to install a different recovery for it because i read that it's the only way i can upgrade to lollipop and up, however i messed something up. it shut off, and went into a sort of a bootloop.
however.. the bootloop only shows the irulu logo and 'powered by android', nothing else.
it's been like this for days. I tried to drain the battery and even hard-reset the battery by disconnecting a wire. nothing works.
I can power it on and power it off.
I cannot get into recovery, and it isn't recognized on the PC either, so phoenix and linux doesn't register it..
it shows on the screen when the battery is charging or when it's dead, when i power it from the m-usb.
the power button works also.
the volume controls aren't recognized either.
I got the tablet for testing and dev purposes and to browse the web, not much more.
I don't have any data on it i need to save.
I was wondering if there is a possible solution we can work out, or should i just salvage it?
Cheers,
J

[Q] Chinese tablet Hyundai T10 brand new - touch does not work [Why?]

Hello,
A few days ago I received Hyundai T10 tablet. I turned it ON but the touch screen did not work (and still don't). I connected a USB mouse via the OTG port and I can move the cursor so I think the only problem is the touch screen. I tried to flash with other firmware but I found only one firmware for the tablet (sorry but I can't put links in threads) which I think it's the same and there is only one official firmware for the tablet (my thoughts). I searched for custom ROMs but did not found. The tablet is 10 inch and uses Samsung Exynos 4412 processor. So I think there may be 2 or more possibilities for this to happen:
1. There is a bug in the firmware.
2. The touch digitizer cable is not plugged in tablet's motherboard (which I think is casual problem when china factories make tablets on "burst mode" process like 10 000 a day)
If there is other possibility I think it will be moooore bad to fix it ;( bad I paid so much money for chinese tablet.
If the problem is the firmware..... all I can do is just some to be announced new firmware... which may be done... never. And it's not sure that the other firmware will fix the problem because the touch is fully unresponsive.
If it's the touch digitizer's cable not plugged in... I will need to open the tablet or send it to someone who has experience because I will probably 99,99% brake the tablet when opening it. But I give it to some technician he may broke something too. Because of the model.. you know.. not so famous chinese tablet he won't actually know what's right in the tablet and he may brake it too...
Last resort is to send back the tablet to China and pay for the shipping (yes, they want me to pay the shipping fees) and after they see that it's now working they will send me new one.
So guys... please can you give some advice or to guide me to do something that my tablet will work normally. Is there some method to see exactly what is going on with the tablet some diagnostic or idk... I will be very happy to see the tablet working
Thanks in advance
Is likely to be a software failure, try to upgrade. If not, you need to detect the touch screen cable is not loose. or reset to defaults,if those all doesn't work, the touch screen must be broken.
me too
HI,have you fixed the problrem? Can you help me?
i have the same problem that you , with just a difference, my hyundai T10 touch screen digitizer stop to work this evening , after one mount.
i bought it in may, for my son birthday, and now i just have a half brick device.
All work properly exeption for the digitizer. it work just with mouse.
i opened the device and i tried to move the digitizer connector , i put of it from the fpc connector, plug and re-plug , but nothing to do.
i belive it is a hardware iussue becouse it stop to work after i transport (with padding) the tablet from home to work, when i arrived at work i turned on the tablet , and the digitizer did't work anymore.
however i want to try others way before to waste it.
Can you help me? Can you give me some link for download firmware or anythig else for try to fix the problem?
this is my email address [email protected]
thank you for your help and your time.

MSI Primo 73 Allwinner A20 firmware issue

Hi Guys,
can somebody pls help me with the below issue:
I bought MSI Primo 73 for christmas for my girlfriend and it has already been twice at repair service and now it isn't still working very well. Let me tell you the whole story. I bought Primo 73 for my girlfriend as christmas present 4 months ago. After some days of usage we faced several issues: only 12 Gb of internal memory (ok, not annoying but MSI says 16 Gb), very weak wifi, system applications constantly freezing, it was completely unusable. I took it back for repair service, after 1 month we got the tablet back, however still not perfect. We couldn't charge it, back to repair service for 1 month again. We have it back almost since 30 days and face issues again. (However according to the service, motherboard has been replaced, so no HW issue). Weak wifi, after coming back from sleep state wifi launches very slowly, freezing and hanging system and other applications. We couldn't use it again. So I refreshed the newest firmware available from the site (only Beta). Now everything is working fine, fast wifi, very rare freezes, but now issue is tablet switches off and reboots after switching on the screensaver or going to stand by status in every 10minutes. We cannot use it again. I could take it back to repair service again, 3. time, as we have 2 years of warranty, however I don't see advantage as may fear is they would copy the original firmware back, tablet would work well for 2-3 days, and after several days of usage everything would go crap with same errors and same issues.I installed only basic applications from android market place ie: opera, facebook, cleaner master. I'm completely sure it is not a HW but a SW issue, a new firmware should help, however MSI haven't responded to my complain so far since last December and no new firmware (only the Beta one) available on the MSI site.
I googled on the net and decided to find suitable custom ROMs for the tablet, which is a simple Alwinner A20 one, a new firmware could make it work again.
Specs are:
CPU Allwinner A20 Dual Core 1.0 GHz
OS Android 4.2
Memory DDR 1GB
LCD Size 7'' 1024x600
Graphics Mali400MP2 GPU
Touch Panel High Quality Capacitive Display Multi-Touch
Storage 16GB
Audio 0.5w Speaker
Webcam Front 0.3M FF, Back 2.0M FF
Card Reader micro SD
Wireless LAN Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n)
HDMI Mini HDMI
USB 2.0 port Micro-USB , support OTG
Headphone-out 3.5mm headphone Jack (OMTP Standard)
Sensor G-Sensor
AC Adapter AC100~240V/DC 5V/2A
Battery 3000 mAh
If somebody has a similare device with A20 core pls share the ROM so I can flash it to the MSI one.
It was too expensive (110EUR) to drop it into trash and I don't rely on MSI and repair service anymore, would like to fix it myself.
Thanks guys the feedbacks in advance,
Pete

Anoc 7inch tablet wifi problems

Hello all. I've got a couple tablets for my kids for Xmas.
Anoc 7inch (Allwinner A33 Upto 1.2Ghz Quad Core)
512Mb RAM
Android 4.4.2
Model A7N15Q
Tablet works and connects to my wifi. but after a couple minutes (varies the time it happens) wifi stop working and it's marked off. Only rebooting the tablet makes it back on.
After googling/digging and whatnots, the best advice I've got was that the firmware might be broken and the best way would be to reflash it. Problem is that I can't find the stock ROM anywhere. Also can't really find a generic one. Or maybe I'm just a clueless newb and not looking in the right place.
I was able to get my adb talking to it and I can make it reboot the tablet from my pc. I was able to root it without any problem. But was really trying to make it work. Any advice?
Thank you mates.

Booting netbook with WM8880 CPU

Good night everyone,
I have my little girl very angry because her netbook has broken
It is a G-Anica model netbook, with WM8880 CPU, Dual Core Cortex A9 512 MB RAM and 4 GB hard disk.
The problem is that when we hit the power button, the Android 4.4.2 Kitkat (the doll) home screen appears and that's it, and it stays that way indefinitely.
I have tried the reset of the back of the netbook, as well as a series of key combinations to bring up the Android menu to reset, but all with a negative result. I have searched Youtube for netbook firmware that resembles or has the same CPU and I have done as the tutorials to record that firmware on an SD card and insert it in the netbook and all with a negative result.
I don't know if anyone could help me, please. I have my daughter crying heartbroken and also since we are confined by COVID 19 no one can fix it for us. Let's see if any of you who know more about these topics could give us joy.
Regards

Considering a motherboard swap.

I don't use Windows much...but I could use a computer running it for testing.
I had inherited a computer from my parents. It should be just the job, but it only boots intermittently. I replaced the power supply, but it didn't solve the problem. So, now I'm considering a new mobo, etc.
The system does some 'power up' steps - it beeps and spins the CPU fan, and some leds come on; but there's a green led on the motherboard that constantly flashes. Nothing on the display.
However, I have it my mind that Windows will cause me pain if I change the motherboard underneath it. Is there any point in me trying? Will I have to reinstall Windows, perhaps even buy a new copy of it?
From a photo of the 'Intel Desktop Utilities' app the last time I had it boot successfully (some months ago now), I see that the motherboard is an Intel DH77DF, has an Intel Core i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz, with 2 1600MHz DDR3 4GB DIMMs. The hard drive is an INTEL SSDSC2CW180A3.
Oh, I also see that it is running Windows 10 Pro 20H2 19042.1586 with something called a Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4170.0 - installed on 4/8/2022 (I guess that's an American date, since it's in the future when read as a British date).
I guess someone can make sense of that lot.
Obviously, I don't want to replace anything if I can avoid it, but it does seem to be dying.
Any recommendations?
Regards,
Max.
