I saw lots of tutorial to get Volte on kenzo roms, like flashing roms, flashing cm14 or cm14. 1 firmware or flashing miui firmware but only for kenzo.
I alredy flashed cm14. 1 Kate firmware but i dont have Volte (im on a Volte- rom, nitrogenOS).
Is a miui firmware zip file for Kate?
How do i know if i have Volte enabled (maybe i have it And i dont have the volte-icon)

Go to settings >> more >> cellular network >> Enhance 4G LTE Mod
. You don't have to flash any patch when you're using nitrogen os. As far as i know volte patch is for non volte rom, so its may not for nirtogen os. BTW, My device also kate. There is no major difference between kate & kenzo when you try any rom. You can use any kenzo rom in your kate.

I'm a glad owner of a Redmi Note 3 Pro SE "Kate", and I'm a bit lost with all the threads, roms, TWRP versions, methods to unlock the bootloader...
I've read a lot, but there is many many threads and files here, sometimes with outdated info, and I don't want to make the bad choices !
I have already flashed the latest Global Dev ROM and waiting for official unlock at MIUI.
Now, I want to install a custom ROM (like CM or RR) and it's where it begins to be complicated....
So I have two questions:
- Which TWRP version is best for my use ?
- Do I have to flash radio firmware, or some other firmware file if I flash CM or other custom ROM ?
In the CM thread there is firmware file, but I suppose it's for Kenzo, and not Kate, am I right ?

I had already downloaded this file, but if I'm understanding well, this is the same I have on my phone right ? (MIUI 8 Global dev 6.12.22, latest beta)

Do you think there will be issues if I keep the firmwares I have on MIUI 8 Global dev 6.12.22 and flash CM13?
If I flash other custom ROM, (aosp one or cm based), can I use the same firmware file ?

My device works fine. But when i flash any custom rom it reboot again and again.
It's stuck on boot screen and reboot and it will go on..
And one thing that my frp status is locked and device status is unlocked..
Please help me i didn't understand what to do now.

And i am using twrp 3.0.0-0

Were you on volte firmware but fore going to custom??

Yes i am on my stock firmware and it is emui 4.01 and its works fine and it has volte too bt the problem is the stock rom is so laggy . That is the reason that i want to install a custom rom.
I can go to my twrp and fastboot too and before some days i install magisk and it works fine on my stock rom but the problem is when i flash a custom rom it flashed succesfully but would not boot up. It stuck on bootloop..
Please help...

It will not boot becoz you were on volte firmware..
You will have to be on non volte firmware b350 or lower.
What you will have to do downgrade to non volte firmware..

Maybe no. I flashed miui via flashboot and now i'm using miui by arvanasoft. Volte is working for me.

Which miui version did u flashed
Look everyone don't complain against any rom or against any dev it was your choice to flash the rom and now you bricked you volte so simple flash stock latest miui via fastboot and don't try any custom roms.. Try to get what i am saying custom roms may have some issues specially the miui rom you all are worried about has firmware issue which is known to all for a quite long time since the initial release so read the comments and reviews before flashing and don't scream every where and create threads for volte i think you all got the point

Do I have to install specific firmware before flashing a custom ROM if I'm currently running MIUI 10.2 Stable? And is it possible to install a kenzo ROM on a kate device? I see alot of ROMs made for kenzo and I don't know if I can flash those on my kate device...

U r on 10.2 miui stable. Which means u already on latest firmware. U dont need any.
Format data
Then wipe data
flash rom and gapps.
Reboot
All kenzo twrps and kenzo custom roms works on kate phone. U can flash any.
Only thing u need to remember is never attempt to flash kenzo firmware zip on kate phone. Else U will brick modem and network.

Hello every one..... I am a kate user..... And I am new to xda!! I am having trouble finding things...but I believe this is the right place to ask....Note 3 pro was my dream phone sience release...but unfortunatelyI was able to buy one few months ago...but unfortunately it is a kate varient... I followed some you tube tutorials and unofficially unlocked my device... But in settings it says my device is locked...though I was able to flash twrp (zcx) and magisk... And now I have root access.
Now I want to know......

First flash latest twrp 3.3.1 official twrp using zcx. Flash it in recovery partition and reboot to new TWRP
Then format data. Type YES TO format
Advanced wipe. Select and wipe all partition except microsd card.
Go to install and
Flash rom 9.0 zip
Flash gapps 9.0
Reboot
Note: dont flash any miui firmware zip. It will brick ur phone. Only flash custom rom.
U can flash kenzo roms on ur kate. All custom kenzo roms are working on kate

No. U must not restore on custom rom. U will experience bugs if u restore miui apps backup on android 9 pie rom.

If u r gamer then use nougat.
Oreo and pie are not good for gaming.
