Whenever i flashed Multirom i got continuous notification in chinese language.
I thought it may be from keyboard langauge download so i removed keyboard but it still comes.
Then i removed download manager also but notification still arrives.
Anyone face this problem in multiroms?
If yes then any solution for it?
Please help......
(screenshot of that notification is attached.)
The notification is waiting for network to install Chinese female voice.
I got a similar annoying notice waiting to install British female voice, and it was specifically waiting for wifi. Since I was on LTE all the time, I just had to turn on wifi and let whatever it was finish its progress. Then it was permanently gone.

I recently switched from Blackberry 9700 (Which I loved and still do) to HTC Titan. It a huge change for me (Both good and bad). So far I am trying to get use to the device and going through learning curves.
I have couple of question that I hope someone here can help me with.
Is there a way to have the phone stay off when you I am charging the phone at night? I turn off the phone before I go to sleep and want it to stay off till I wake up in the morning. When the phone is being charged using the wall charger there is no way to turn it off and it has to stay on.
Also how can I activate the LED indicator to flash when I have a new text, new email or even missed call? I would like to have that option as when I in meeting I can put my phone in silent.
Also the OS version on the phone is showing as 7.10.7720.68 and I was reading this forum and people are on version 8.XXXXX and was wondering how do I upgrade to a highest OS version.
Thank you in advance for all your help.
The led flashes by default you can update through the zune software or wait till its pushed to your phone
as far as staying on i dont think it can

Sorry for the stupid question, but do I download the Zune software on my phone? I dont see where I can download the software on my phone.
Thanks again.
No unfortunately you can not power off your phone during charge.
Only thing you can do is use the airplane mode to disable network connection.
The LED will blink (green) for missed call but not for sms or e-mail (i hope they will include this in future update, i have not idea why this is not possible).
Zune is an application for your computer (not your phone). After you installed it, it will start when you plug your phone by USB to your computer.
If a phone update is available, Zune will automatically ask you if you want to update.
If you brought your phone unbranded (not simlocked) you should be able to update in a short time after update release (try to plug your phone to your computer every couple of days)
If you got your phone "branded" from a carrier, then a delay can occur. (Because the carrier decide if the update should be deployed or not.)

You don't need to plug your phone to your computer to check for updates. You get a pop up notification on your phone OTA whenever the update is ready. You then plug in your phone to Zune.
You MUST install Zune to your computer as that is the only way you can transfer tons of pics, music and videos from PC to Phone and vice versa. Plus you get updates as mentioned.
Thank you all for your input and our answers.
I wish HTC and ATT would start working on these simple issues or requests. I think lots of people out there want to turn off their phone at night and charge it while its off.
The blinking LED is a must for everyone as we need to be notified of new texts, new emails, new calender notification and so on. I think adding that option this by HTC is not going to be a problem as we already have the LED flashing available for some notification(s).

I'm glad mine does not blink or it would be blinking all the time. I sync hotmail and exchange, and every hour it checks 4 other email accounts..
+1 for blinking for missed call and sms, but not for emails.
Also was very strange at first that I cannot charge while powered off, I think it would be better to train new battery in a such way.
If you synchronize many (or "regular") mailbox, of course the blinking should be switchable.
But if you have a dedicated email address for your phone (with push enabled) like i do, blinking would be useful (like for sms)
Hey,
I installed some updates from the store (like extras, apn and whatnot) and now after I unlock my device it sometimes gives me a strange notification sound. I can't say exactly which one it is, because you can't select it for any message/notification type. It even plays the sound when I am in silenced mode.
Any one else with this issue? :/
bye, Smirny
I think one of the updates added a notification sound when you unplug the charger cable. May be that's what you are hearing
I noticed a weird sound when taking the phone off charge, Or did I dream it?

A recent Nokia app update has added a bug that plays a notification sound when unplugging from a charger. It has been reported to the relevant development team but I've got no idea how long it will take to correct it.
As for a notification sound when unlocking the 920, there is a setting for that under Ringtones + Sounds. But it shouldn't play if the phone is in silent mode so it could be related to the other bug which has also been implicated as a possible cause of some apps not working and requiring a hard reset to get the phone working properly again.
hi everyone,
I recently upgraded to 4.3 and finding it very annoying about two notifications as explained below.
Whenever I disable the flight mode or mobile data, a message keeps popping up which is very annoying on my day to day activities.
Please refer to attached screen shots.
Why don't they have a tick box to say something like "Do not show again" or so ....
is there any solution to get rid of this?
Thanks and cheers to all ....
Couldn't agree more! I can't stand this! Why isn't there a "do not show again" message. They seriously think we are stupid or that we're going to go crying to tech support when we can't make calls because airplane mode is active.
Has anyone found a solution for this on 4.3?
I have never had any popup dialog box when toggling the Mobile Data button.
However ever since 4.2 which I have been using for the last 6 months the Flight Mode popup dialog box comes up every single time you toggle it on or off which is the most annoying thing about Android I have ever experienced. (since I use Flight mode several times daily).
I'm guessing the suggestion of having "Do Not Show Again" would be more suitably aimed at either Samsung or Google (Android)?, and I seriously doubt that those guys will change/fix it.
So is there anyone here in XDA land that could provide a fix/mod/hack for this issue please?
I also had the same popup msg problem when turning up the volume (on 4.2) which was annoying as all hell! -But I haven't seen it again since 4.3 though I'm not sure if that was from the JB update, or if it was a part of Omega ROM's old Loud Volume hack which seems to be no longer available since 4.3
Anyway thanks in advance for anyone's help to permanently disable popup msgs.
Cheers
Good day gentlemen (and ladies),
First of all apologies if I don't post this in the correct place.
I have a problem with my Gionee Elife E5 phone and I suspect some of you will recognize the symptoms.
If the phone is set to 3G mode, every time I initiate a phone call, answer a phone call OR start data connection I receive the notification - Searching for GPS. Long pressing the notification - GPS search is started by SystemUI . Issue does not appear on 2G mode.
I did not install any abnormal apps - in fact I am not a Facebook/Twitter/ nagivation fan
Steps taken - I performed a factory reset - no results. Installed custom roms from needrom website - I am not allowed to post URLs - MIUI version and the stock Gionee version (I had a slightly customized rom from the factory - here it is sold with the name Cosmote Smart Xceed) - same problem. I installed an App Settings app to check the permission and basically disabled anything that asks for fine location and coarse location - still the same!
Now this is annoying but in the same moment this issue appeared (I bought the phone in April 2015 and the problem started in November) another odd thing started. I have a cheap smartwatch, U8 clone. For me it's extremely useful since usually I don;t hear/feel the phone in my pocket and I'm missing calls/texts. Watch connected and set to vibrate -> perfect! BUT when the phone is on 3G and the watch is connected, when I receive a call or initiate a call - from the watch or phone - the phone loses the signal and I see the message Radio Off exactly like I would remove the SIM card and put it back on. Issue does not appear on 2G therefore I suspect this is somehow connected?! (also, I tested the watch on another cheap phone with Mediatek, it works absolutely normal on 3G)
So now I have 2 options: 1. use 3G mode and see the annoying GPS notification and forget about the smartwatch and 2. use 2G mode, no GPS icon, watch can be used but low internet speed and lower quality in phone calls. I would prefer an option 3 where everything is normal - and hope this won't be throw away the phone and the watch.
I strongly suspect my network operator - Orange - is the root cause of the issues but they keep asking me to go to a phone service. I don;t think this is the case at all.
Any ideas are very appreciated.
My last question, did anyone test the new Lollipop ROM for Gionee E5? I see it appeared only a few days ago - I wasn;t aware of it. Not able to post the link but it is on needrom .
The description is not very encouraging - Lollipop rom not tested.you can brick your phone
[Edit 17/02] - indeed it bricks your phone, it was good I performed a backup first. The Lollipop ROM was deleted from needrom website. My problem still remains
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Hey Guys in germany the Ota rolled out,

No, but you can turn off media volume.
For the other issue: go to settings -> lock screen -> smart unlock -> voice match
Turn it off then on again and it should work.
If it doesn't, you need to go to the google app in the play store and hit delete. it will ask you if you want to factory reset the app since u cannot delete it. do it and then hit the three dots in the top right corner and disable auto update fot this app. This is because google recently updated google app and voice unlock doesn't work anymore with mate 10 pro (again)

Problem stays. i think i have to factory reset my mate 10 that it works.... but meh -.-
I also got the . 137,and now my AOD is a complete mess. The clock almost always displays wrong time. Last nite the display showed like 3:05am, while in fact it was like 4:50 (woke up had to pee :l).
With AoD on, my fingerprint reacts slower... I don't know how such a premium device cannot be sorted out in order for such a simple function such as AoD to work without problems. Seems that for some reason Huawei puts battery life above functionality.
Oh and I don't even want to go to the issue of scrolling widgets...
Maybe someone can help me, i updated last week my phone. to 137. (ota) i reseted my phone to get a fresh rom
about a hour ago i was in my car , and my radio dosnt show titels anymore and i cant forward tracks via radio. only on my phone.
My radio says "BT AUDIO" and its just playing. not more. .... that kinda sucks on the version before it was all okey.
Yes i delted car and phone bluetooth and reconnect. same issue.
updated to 137 too. battery same as before. little youtube, little gaming and some browsing and im on 55% with 4.10h sot.I did do a full upgrade trough " download full upgrade package" witch was 2.9gb if that materes
