Just wondering if anyone out there is using it, and how its performance is coming along. Wondering if its safe to install.

I'm having no problems with lineage, give it a try you might like it.
I am very impressed, its running amazingly well, haven't hit any hiccups yet. I'm running Lineage OS version 14.1-20170125-NIGHTLY, flashed with the Su (ARM) addon, then pico apps and everything is working great. Root is working perfectly. I am very happy having new nougat features. Lineage OS is great. Will post here if anything changes.
I had another quick question, if i update to the newest lineage os nightly through the updater (Settings>about phone>Lineage OS updates) does it wipe all data such as apps and files etc?
I wil install this soon also and will report back.
Just tried the OTA update feature (Settings>about phone>Lineage OS updates) Everything seemed to update fine (boots fine into TWRP 2.8.7.0 and begins flash on its own), however, after a while i noticed my icons on the my home screen disappearing after each roboot. No matter how many times i set up my icons on the home screen they would just simply disappear after a reboot. Not sure why this is happening but its very annoying. I am going to re-flash Lineage OS 14.1-20170125-NIGHTLY and just stick with that until a snapshot is released. Its working just fine anyway, no need to update to newest nightlies.

Not sure if this will help, maybe you should use the updated twrp here: https://android.cmphys.com/cyanogenmod-mt2/
Thank you, I will give it a try, didn't know there was a more recent version of twrp.
UPDATE: this did not solve the problem, even tried the newest nightly, however i am very happy to have a newer version of TWRP. This seems to only happen with apps installed to the SD card (the SD card is formatted as internal Storage) I am thinking this is a problem with Trebuchet Launcher during the boot process, i am going to try different Launchers and see if that fixes the problem of the disappearing app icons. Will update again soon.
FINAL UPDATE: So far all is working well with Nova Launcher. I am very satisfied, not encountering any problems. (side note: i removed trebuchet.apk from the system as well)

Mine is bootlooping after the Google Play Services app updated itself. I've completely wiped everything and re installed and still bootloops. With or without flashing gapps it still does it.
What version were you using? If you're not using the latest version from the thread I previously linked, you might want to try that.

Hello LeMax aficionados!
I have a Le Max 2 (4gb, 64gb), bought originally as an X829. I immediately flashed the latest lineage OS and have been updating it weekly (now device info shows X820). Everything worked well for more than a month; fingerprint sensor was working well too.
At the time of the issue I was on the 16th Dec release of LOS and had the superuser addon installed. I decided to move to the latest magisk (v15) and get the systemless Xposed (sdk25) so I could try out the Leeco Infrared Fix and the InstantFaceUnlock module. This is how I went about it.
1 Flashed the superuser addon remover. Rebooted.
2 Installed the XposedInstaller (latest version from the source)
3 Flashed magisk v15.0. Rebooted.
4 Downloaded the Xposed sdk 25 from the downloads section of magisk. Rebooted.
5 Opened XposedInstalled and saw Xposed was installed and everything was green.
6 Downloaded the Leeco Infrared Fix and the InstantFaceUnlock thingy. Rebooted for it to take effect.
Here’s where the problem started. I got stuck on the boot animation screen for a long time. Unsure about what to do I left it like that for 3 hours or more (plugged in). When I finally checked it, the phone was extremely hot. I pressed the power button for 10s to force restart and had the same issue. I used the vol UP+power button combo to boot into recovery. Then:
A I flashed the Magisk uninstaller.
B Dirty flashed the Dec 23 LOS. Rebooted. Thankfully it booted properly.
C Uninstalled the XposedInstaller. Rebooted.
D Flashed the superuser addon.
E Everything seems fine. Except that the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work. Even when I remove all fingerprints and try to register it anew, the calibration process doesn’t proceed beyond the first fingerprint. (1/10).
F I flashed the chinese 26s Modem. Same problem persists.
G I did a basic wipe from TWRP. Restored a nandroid backup from a week back. Everything is fine except that the fingerprint sensor doesn’t work.
Did the overheating mess up some key component of the fingerprint sensor? Any suggestions?
Have a nice day guys!
Bump!
Any ideas guys?
I was reading before that overheating mess up with finger print.
@shanty23 any news thus far? I have the same model but my fingerprint only worked for a few seconds after I purchased the phone. I immediately flashed a custom ROM though.

Exactly the same happened to me, I immediately installed a custom Oreo ROM and the fingerprint sensor died. I was resigned to live without it but after installing Xposed framework (I'm using AICP ROM) the fingerprint got back to life...

Hi @cruizgaray ,
Can you specify which AICP ROM did you install and what Xposed version? Is the FP still working? before the fix did you have any signal from the FP reader? I mean like the FP gestures on camera app working.
Flash this -> https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850487752
Reflash the ROM and see if it help.

Give time to the sensor, maybe they back to life.
Or, just a hardware damage like you said.
I have posted a solution for this in the treads all eui rom
Mine also dead after 3 days of purchase. But one day it accidentally started responding. Now its working fine. According to me wait for few days, it may work.

Before it got fixed it was completely dead; it just worked a couple of minutes after I received it.
I installed Infrag's AICP and the last version of Xposed (not systemless) for Oreo. I' keep using Infrag's AICP and the FP is working perfectly.
Best regards

The last weeks I had my fair share of geek awesomeness with my shiny brand new POCO F1 and, in my own right, installed many (a dozen) custom-roms and another bunch of vendor and firmware versions, all of them specifically for the Poco F1.
I was using Havoc OS 2.5 and did an OTA update to version 2.6. Everything normal, ok, but I decided to get back to MIUI because two camera related APPs didn't work well with any of the custom roms I've installed and "ok, I'll get back to MIUI, is not bad afterall and the screenrecorder is WAY better than any of the others I tried".
Recovery, wipe, format, flashed MIUI 10.3.4 no problems or error messages like always, reboot, recovery, magisk, reboot, let the system do its stuff, Miui account, google account, the whole thing is ok, play store recovering my cloud backup, ok. Everything works really ok until the first reboot. After the reboot the "Find my device" halts repeteadly, running the system inoperable. "Find my device has crashed and bla bla bla" forever. As long as i use the system first boot, is ok, but eventually, I need to reboot and after that, "find my device has crashed". I've got back to Havoc OS 2.6 and is, like always, running like a charm.
I've tried to get back to MIUI 10.2.2 (whice came pre-installed) to try an OTA update to 10.3.4, but in 10.2.2 also the find my device crashes every time.
What kind of sorcery is happening here? Any thoughts?

I'm using, usually command line abd and fastboot on windows. Today I've downloaded Xiaomi ADb/Fastboot Tolls and it was very useful.
I can't post links yet since I'm new on the forum. But search for Xiaomi ADB/Fastboot Tools GitHub. it is powerful.

Because the service was broken. Yes, maybe I could adb and freeze the service, but the service would still be broken, probably due to many different firmware/vendor versions installed on the last couple weeks.
The fastboot rom is more comprehensive in terms of background images (cust/dsp/persist) and flashing it totally nailed the error.

Yeah. I know that flashing a fastboot ROM is the best way to repair corrupt partitions but it also resets the phone and I'm too lazy to restore everything back. Lol.
Hi all
I am trying to upgrade a Lenovo Tab 3 (TB3-710F) 7" tablet because Android 5 is the latest official version. Ideally, 7 is better, but I will be happy with 6. I have downloaded SP Flash Tool and TWRP 3.0.2, and that is installed correctly and all working. Now the actual ROM is the problem. I have downloaded Resurrection Remix, LineageOS 13, Viper and Dot, and it would appear most of them have the same problem. When I try to install the zip file, I get told that it's unable to unmount or mount /system and it crashes out with signal 11. I have tried to wipe and reformat the system folder, again being told it's unable to unmount /system, and have changed the file system from NTFS or exFAT and back to Ext4, but to no avail. I suspect until I can format the system folder correctly, it won't install, but for the sake of me, I can't. Has anyone got any advice?
bump
A custom rom would be great for the tb3-710f.
I have just done a factory reset and most Google apps won't run because play services can't update.
bump
I've just upgraded to 5.1.1 on a TB3-710F using an old CyanogenMod cm-12 custom rom so that I can use Google's FamilyLink, works well.
Do you have a link to the LineageOS 13 rom?
I also had a similar error installing the cm-12 rom but that was because I'd missed wiping /data in TWRP first before attempting to install the rom.
YESS>>> We need lineage os for TB 3-710f.. I too use cm12
SOOOO.... Anyone??
I too have CM-12 on my Lenovo. so anywhere have a link to download any custom ROM but not CM-12.
let me explain, firstly

because all of those ROMs are not compatible with your device. that is why it won't flash. If you force it to install that specific ROM, it might end up in a boot loop. You must have not deleted all your files. :c

You did not upgrade though. The tablet is literally on 5.1.1 so maybe you did this because you hate the lag of its own UI provided by Lenovo. Well that is a good choice. Although, it does not make any difference between the apps that you can run and can't run because it is still in the same version (Android 5.1.1).
To be honest, even if you try to find a Lineage OS ROM, it is useless because it is not on the list of supported devices. Almost all custom ROMs do not have this tablet on their list (I hope they added and modify some **** because we really need it :c). For now, the only custom ROM that I know this tablet can have is Cyanogenmod 12. It is your own choice if you want to install the buggy ones. The buggy ones are, Lineage OS and Flyme OS.

No, stock is ok.
Are their any projects related to the Oukitel K9 phone? I purchased one and use it on the AT&T network here in the USA.
The phone is decent but the built in Android is very generic and buggy.
I would love to unlock the potential of this phone with a custom ROM.

No custom roms at this time, why bother when you can custom Android 9 using Magisk , Xposed and Substratum. Although having a Lineage 17 would be nice.
I ask because the Android on this phone is so buggy and lacking features. I don't see how the options you gave will add features I need. They might as I'm new to these apps and don't know much about them.

At this point it's useless to try since the mediatek drivers no longer work on Windows 10. Not a single guide on installing on Windows 10 64 bit work anymore. If anyone knows how to get the Oukitel drivers to work, let me know. No amount of driver sign or advanced boot works. Every time I plug in the phone it says the previous device malfunctioned.
It worked once and I have never connected the phone since. Will not work.

This might seem obvious, but could never get my PC (Windows10 64bit) to even recognize my Oukitel K9 until I (out of desperation, and to try to prove a point to someone) reinstalled Minimal ADB & Fastboot 1.4.3 from here:

Thanks, but I sold this phone and went to a Pixel 4 XL. I needed something reliable and InTune refused to work on the old Oukitel.
Has anyone worked out ramdisk partition for Magisk?
Discovery,
Thanks to Phh has developed the perfect ROM for the Oukitel K9. Strangely I have had to try many ROMs to find the perfect one. The Lineage ROM; I had GPS issues, the Recent app button not working, and signal loss. Wanted the latest OS and this one is the winner below.

Llevo un par de semanas probando la rom y no funciona el detector de huellas,se puede mejorar?hay alguna rom(Android 12) mas estable y que todo funcione?,gracias
MOD Edit: I've been testing the rom for a couple of weeks and the fingerprint sensor doesn't work, can it be improved? Is there a more stable rom (Android 12) that makes everything work? Thanks
Try the updated version https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases/tag/v402
Should resolve the fingerprint issue. I have also tried the AOSP 12.1 v410 and the result is the phone goes into a boot loop. Not sure why when the previous version installs so easily. I have built a custom TWRP 3.6.1 and will be trying it soon. The reason why we need to update; that the TWRP 3.3.1 version is limited and could be the reason why there are install issues with some GSIs out there. The encryption keeps reactivating even if I use scripts, flash no verify-verity. Hopefully, this will work. I'm enjoying the new version too much to start again I will keep you posted.
This one is supreme V411 and distracts me away from my Note 20 Ultra. https://github.com/phhusson/treble_experimentations/releases/tag/v411 .Works well with the Oukitel K9, recommend to use swapram module for boosting memory 4gb to 8gb. Searching for a working TWRP 3.6.

Have you found better rom for k9? I've used several gsi images but system is very laggy. Yet to find a good fast custom rom for k9.

I've flashed this one and found it is as laggy as CrDroid. I thought it might be due to not wiping data before flashing. Decided to reboot to recovery to wipe data. And.. phone stuck at twrp logo. No go further. Do you have any better TWRP than mine 3.3.1?
Try using the "Yet another Kernel Tweaker" module in Magisk. Through all my searches I could only find the TWRP 3.3.1. Tried building using kitchen but failed. Sometimes the TWRP will take up to 5 to 10 minutes, remember it is trying to decrypt. If it takes longer then SPflash, assuming done correctly with vbmeta. After the initial install the updates and synchronization starts processing. This causes a slow-down. I thought the same. Leave the device for a day to update and synchronize then should be faster.

TWRP logo is for hours here.
Now I can't even enter fastboot after I've chosen reboot to recovery from cherishos power menu.
I hit volup+pwr and boot menu doesn't even show up. Tried 20+ times already.
I'm stuck. The last hope is to wait for it to discharge on twrp logo and try my luck with fastboot menu again.
Otherwise I have no idea. Now I question myself why on Earth I would even try to better something that works at least average ))))

I've managed to revive it. But still on cherishos and few other A13 roms screen is flickering. Have you got something like that?
The first Android 11 Beta release for Mi CC9 Pro/Mi Note 10 (Pro) is there.
Don't expect a fully working system, many apps aren't optimized for Android 11 yet.
Do a clean flash (Wipe system, data, cache, dalvik) and flash it with any custom recovery.

Take care to read all the messages from Mi Note 10 users before installing. I did and refrain from installing it. At least, do a full backup of everything.

Though flashing the rom works it seems a newer version of twrp will be needed to flash magisk according to the eu forums.

Seems like it because the recent TWRP bootloops the EU Android 11 rom. Past roms had no problem using with and without magisk.

The current twrp works fine for roms, an earlier version of the EU rom did bootloop but it's fixed, I'm running 20.10.15 right now, specifically Magisk seems to have issues right now either with twrp or magisk itself just needs to be updated.

For me it did not, wiped everything and then after installing, thr Miui 12 splash screen shows upa nd tries to boot up but then afterwards it takes me back to TWRP.
I will wait until it is more stabilized with magisk or when there is a global eu version of it.

I had same problem with fixed build of Xiaomi.eu, you have to FORMAT DATA, and then install fixed build It help me, remember to FORMAT DATA, not only wipe Data Partition.
I regret installing new rom. I don't really see v anything new except HUGE battery drain with cellular data and hardware camera provider.
Sad to hear, the last stable build with the best battery life was EU 11.1.2, past that version, the battery can't do 11-12:30 hours of SoT like 11.1.2
