[FOTA][MM][DOWNLOAD] SM-G930A APJ4 Update File - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S7 Guides, News, & Discussion

Today I have pulled an MM Firmware-Over-The-Air update from my AT&T Galaxy S7 and uploaded the original .CFG file and my compiled .ZIP files for flashing via recovery. Download the file of your choice and place it onto your devices external storage, reboot into recovery, select "Apply Update From External Storage", search for the downloaded file, select it, click yes, and wait for the flash to complete.
Another note: As normal, this WILL NOT wipe any of your personal data. But just know that your recovery might not allow you to flash from External storage if your device is rooted, which means you will either have to completely unroot and restore dm-verity status or try flashing the file via ADB.
If you have any troubles please feel free to write below about it. If this helped you, please be sure to hit the thanks button.
To be clear, I will capture the Nougat update for this device once it is OFFICIALLY released. The update file in this thread is a MM update.

anyone tried to flash this that's on the unofficial Nougat (G930AUCU4BQA4)

Looking at the CSCVersion.txt File inside the ZIP shows that this is G930AATT4APJ4 for anyone wondering which version

Note that I believe this is just an update to MM. I would expect that you'd need to get the ODIN files for the G930AATT4APJ4 build and do a full flash / wipe to this one.

Is it possible to ask you to flash the update to tell me if it truly works? If it doesn't I'll replace the files.

Sorry, I already have Nougat on my phone and I'm holding out for the official release before I start flashing again.

It's fine, I just flashed it to mine and it's just a security patch for MM. I will capture the official Nougat FOTA release once it comes out.

Yeap it doesnt apply for Beta they are always ahead of time only official releases match. (There's always that one build that wants to break the rules, but only happen with unreleased builds mostly because they apply the security patch early for testing and compiler gives that build code.)
It always has been that way with Samsung since the OG Galaxy S.
Check my posts from several years ago on earlier galaxies and you'll notice.

Can I ask you a question? how did you manage to compile .Zip file to flash from recovery? is it flashable from stock recovery? how did you manage to add original signature?

There was no compiling. You can flash the ota update files from stock recovery after renaming the file name extension from .cfg to .zip.

I didn't flash the update file itself, I had the ODIN files for it. They're the same thing.
When it comes to official updates, no signature modification should be necessary (Or possible, for that matter. I don't think there's a way to modify the signature. If there is, I don't know about it.). The only thing different between the 2 files is the file format.
Hope I answered your questions.
Cheers!

Can You Supply the Latest FOTA roms For.

I have an Unlocked G930A (not really unlocked just using a cricket SIM) But I cannot Get the Software Updates For it because of AT&T. I have seen the information on reflashing it to the U software but i really dont want to have to restore everything to my phone unless i have to..
The Version currently running on my phone is vulnerable to the bluebourne exploit and im trying to get that patched. :/
On a side note. are you able to do a packet capture while scanning for the updates? There is one on the play store that will also let you perform a MITM on the application and you should be able to capture anything sent over SSL in plain text/hex/etc
I did Want to Ask you a quick question. How did you capture the FOTA package to begin with?
I wonder if it is possible to setup an Authoritative only dns server and then use it to spoof the location of the update servers. to create a DNS method that would allow the FOTA to be pushed to devices no longer on AT&T
Anywho if you can get those firmwares and get me full packet captures of just the update application while it is checking and downloading the update, i might be able to create a web application that is able to capture the headers sent by the phone that identify its model/fw version/etc and be able to push the firmware update Via the built in option in the settings, (although you may need to swap your dns settings for a moment and install a CA cert that allows validation of a connection. im not too sure if a CA cert will need to be installed because im not sure if they push the updates over a SSL/TLS connection. Using the data collected here may also pave the way to enable this to work with other models and carriers and manufacturers. (my hypothesis is that packet captures would be needed on any firmware updates "you" would want to push with this)
Basically Im thinking it might be possible to download those zip files along with the packet capture data to create a simple web application that is able to tell the phone there is a software update available. It would require using a 3rd party DNS server to "redirect" the connection to a server that doesnt care if your an at&t customer. It might also need a self signed CA cert installed into the device to Validate TLS/SSL. From there it might be possible to have the server 301 redirect the zipfile to another url that is behind a CDN to reduce the risk of ddos and keep the server(s) stable keeping the downloads reliable and fast.
Seeing how the Firmware update is already digitally signed by Samsung and/or AT&T it should probably install without an issue. I dont see the possibility of the wrong stock firmware being flashed on the wrong phone provided the manufactuer had a proper assert statement in place to verify the model and sw/hw versions, and im pretty sure a stock recovery wont accept a firmware signed by any key.
I might be Going off topic here, But one more question.
Do i actually need AT&T service to download the OTA updates from the Software update function in the phone settings.
What i mean by this is does the SIM card need to have an active plan on it? or can it just be provisioned to their network with out a phone plan and downloaded over wifi?
UPDATE: It Can Now be officially confirmed that Carriers and Samsung Deliberately block OTA updates when you unlock the device. there are thousands if not tens of thousands out there on a variety of devices as far back as the S4 that may not have been able to get updates. just because they used a Cricket Sim or unlocked the device. I also Spoke with AT&T customer support today and got told the blatant Lie that they push the same OTA updates through the cricket network to ensure that AT&T devices on it can be updates. I also went to samsung service center at bestbuy and they told me my phone was up to date when its not. Samsung Smart Switch Also Reports that my device is up to date when i know for a 900% fact it is not.
So it looks like Someone is going to have to write an app that Hijacks the Requests and replays a valid packet capture just to get the phone to update in its orignial intended built in method.
The sad part is the carriers would see this and just write a patch to prevent it rather then change their policies.
Basically The carrier has the right to deny you a software update because you left their network and leave you exposed to Critical Security Vulnerabilities.
That is their way of sticking up their Middle Finger at the FCC for mandating carriers unlock their devices and the end user who either met his/her contract obligation or outright paid for his/her device
[SARCASM] basically its like saying hey we know you paid for your device, but **** you, you left our network and even though the updates come from a samsung controlled server were going to ensure our middleware deliberately blocks your device from updating so you remain vulnerable and you information is stolen, That'l teach you for unlocking your device and leaving our network because we charge literally an arm and leg for service, how dare you as a customer go against our big monopoly that seeks to buy out every major ISP and cable provider in america but hey thats alright were still winning but because you left our network we will block these updates so we can further Sell your information and viewing browsing habits off to the NSA (Google TITANPOINTE tinfoil hatters!!!!) unless you want to send your phone off to one of our service centers where one of our butthurt technicians will see you rooted your phone and say it has damage and turn our free reflashing service into a paid repair and charge you through the ass for service, also did we mention were not going to update the software because our application is designed not to tell you there is an update available if you unlocked it or used our Subsidary cricket SIM in the device and didnt unlock it Or you can go on XDA and grab an odin package an potentially invalidate your warranty and then when your device comes to us for a cracked screen we can deny you the repair even though the modifcation wasnt a modifcation and has nothing to do with a cracked screen. [/SARCASM]
Anywho im going to Bite the Bullet and Grab an Assortment of AT&T contract Sims and Go Phone sims and Other Carriers, Im going to go to the local pawn shops and buy an assortment of devices and attempt to downgrade each and every single one of them back to their old original firmware versions, Dump all the FOTA updates and dump the packet captures and i guess i will have to research the possibility And be that asshole who gets sued for reverse engineering their software.

[Firmware Needed] Galaxy S4 SCH-I545PP (Verizon Prepaid)

I'm in search of firmware for the S4 running 4.3 or 4.4. I haven't gotten this phone yet but verizon is selling it through Walmart on prepaid. I know the firmware isn't gonna be the same as if it was on contract verizon. I have the S3 right now and it's prepaid. Many argued that there wasn't a NF5 firmware but turns out there is and i used it many times to fix soft bricks on the S3 using Odin. So I'm pretty sure the prepaid side of the S4 will have different firmware then one on contract verizon would have. So that being said, does anyone have 4.3,4.4 or even 5.0 firmware they can share that will work with Odin? Not sure if the S4 got the 5.0 update. Just assuming it did. Any help is appreciated!
Anyone? Please?
If no one can then someone at least tell me how it direct me to where I can make a tar or md5 firmware out of adb pulls of the system an stuff?

OK never mind. I need 5.0.1 firmware. Not 4.3 or 4.4. Any help would be great
I can't think of any reason as to why post paid firmware would be different than prepaid. You can use the phone for either.
And you're posting jn the wrong forum, which is probably why nobody is helping you. Because you didn't bother to read the rules before posting.
Try the general section or Android development section. Click the search button and type firmware. I'm sure you'll find it faster than it took you to make all these posts. Good luck
still no help

I think what sob372 was saying is the hardware in the phone is the same as the contract so you can just follow the SCH-I545 stuff and it will work.
being that I just got this same phone S4 prepaid used I'll be playing with it to root it, install safestrap and probably downgrade it from Lollipop to Kitkat. So I'll let you know if you don't find more here by searching and I'm sure there are relevant posts if you dig around a bit.
BTW the S4 PP does have a SIM slot.

It just seems really sketchy to do with the contract firmware. Like I get the feeling that if I flash the firmware from contract, I'll lose any cell phone service under prepaid. I just don't want to end up with a big paper weight. The modules could be different. With the S3 I had which was prepaid also. I used safestrap and superlite rom was the best one I got to work with the prepaid version. The system always kept crashing but it would load if I put it under stock an not a rom slot. I had to get the i535pp module to fix the Wi-Fi problem but if I had no service cause of the sim issue then I didn't want it. Also I'm not sure but I think there is no safe strap for the s4 running lollipop. I believe the forum said it would cause bootloops if you tried. Just like you need to deodex for xposed cause of the changes in art

If you can confirm all is in working order with the contract firmware (can't remember what the build is) with the prepaid phone, I'll give it a go.
Update
A member already tried the OC1 postpaid firmware on the prepaid. They said all works but the camera and charging don't work. So that's out of the question
I been looking around on the net and best I've come up with is backing up the firmware. I tried using flash fire to get back ups of every partition. Then I used Odin package creator to try an make a firmware file to use with Odin but when I tried it out in Odin, it stopped at data so I took out my personal data then it stopped at something with number 3 at the end. Can't recall what it was. So if anyone can test more on this to have any luck. Maybe then we can get the firmware out to people in case sammobile decides not to or takes another year to release it
I've been trying a different approach to getting a copy of the OH7 firmware. I've been attempting to use Fiddler4 + the Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant tool that comes on my phone (Verizon Prepaid Galaxy S4 model SCHI-545KPP) to get a download link to the original rom file... I can't get the bloody link to download with Fiddler or an internet browser, as i get a 403 forbidden error. I'll keep trying, maybe I can find the downloaded file in my temp files while attempting to recover my phone? It will take some time but I'll keep trying.
*update* So I located where the Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant stores its files (compressed and extracted). The location is C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Verizon_AR .
I unfortionally didn't figure this out until after I royally soft bricked my phone. Right now I have a OF1 recovery installed on the phone, and the assistant keeps trying to install the OF1 firmware (and it fails). If anyone could check that folder for the OH7 firmware, or post a backup of the OH7 recovery, you'd be doing me a huge favor. I think we'll have the OH7 firmware after this one way or another.
*edit* This is 100% confirmed now. C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\Verizon_AR\SCH-I545_I545VRUGOF1_FACTORY\decrypt produced a zip file that is 100% identical to the OF1 firmware zips out there. This decrypt subfolder didn't appear until after the file was completely downloaded, and the Software Repair Assistant had started to try and flash the rom. This data is deleted after the phone completes flashing (or fails to flash). If you select "delete" after this information is downloaded, the encypted rom file is deleted and you must start all over again.
If someone could check that folder who has used the Verizon Wireless Software Upgrade Assistant to recover their phone, using the tool on your phone again and you'll get the decrypt folder... if you zip/rar that folder, we'll finally have the backup files we can post somewhere.
the PP phone uses the same firmware as the normal one that guy that tried it
did something wrong
just flash the OF1 tar via odin and be done with it

I'm trying out your idea. If i can get the file them I'll upload it. If not, I'll still be able to at least send you a back up of the oh7 recovery. Mines all still stock. Id hate to get stuck with a paperweight until the correct firmware is released. That's why I'm careful lol. The firmware is downloading right now. It says it's a enc4 file though. Maybe just cause its downloading at the moment. I'll just wait an see an I'll let you know

Yes, while it is downloading it will be a .enc4 file. Even after downloading it will stay like that, but when you got to actually flash the file, it will decrypt and the encrypted version will appear in that /decrypt folder.

so im confused. do i need the encrypted or decrypted file for it to work with odin? i tried changing the file to zip format and open it with winrar after it downloaded in the software but it came up as an unknown archive or damaged. so im not sure what im doing wrong but ill keep trying
UPDATE: i have tried getting the file through verizons handy tool and i did get the decrypted folder along with the unzip folder during it was finishing up repairing my s4. i just copied the file from the decrypted folder and extracted it during the repair. so now im using odin 3.10.7 and testing it out now to see if it will flash successfully. if all goes well, i will make new thread with the firmware link inside it so users dont need to scroll through pages to find the link. first anyone know a good or popular upload storage i can use to upload the firmware to for others to use? i tried uploading onto here but i keep getting a connection timeout

Thank you so much. I was close to taking this phone back and not getting another simply because I really need a phone to replace my S3 for tethering soon. But if you got the firmware, I can flash it back to working order, and hopefully get some deodexed roms (that way I can install Xposed framework). Thanks again!

UPDATE! :OTA Update Working ONLY with phones with LOCKED Bootloaders. The Manual Update will work with both LOCKED and UNLOCKED Bootloaders. I have tested the OTA Update and after I unlocked my ZF3U's bootloader, I can no longer get update notification (on my previous ZF3U-I am on my 2nd one). From what I have read, ASUS servers block any devices with unlocked bootloaders from accessing automatic system updates. My only option is to find a way to RELOCK the bootloader or use the Manual Update file.
Enjoy!

The Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra is now receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update with software version 14.1010.1702.36. The update is rolling out over-the-air.
Check for it from Settings > About > System Updates on your Zenfone 3 Ultra. If you’ve got the update, go ahead and download/install it.
It appears to be currently available for the WW (Worldwide Version)
Currently no manual install file is available but I guess this will be available very soon. I also think this may be the first and last final update from ASUS for the ZF3U before they launch another version but it is nice to have the newest version after all and I very much look foreard to making use of multi-window on the device.

It may be because your Bootloader is unlocked. If it is you will not receive the update. My ZF3U's bootloader was locked when I received the update. However, when I unlocked the bootloader, rooted and then decided to wipe everything through TWRP to do a fresh install of everything to reinstall Android 7.0 the trouble started. Now, I cannot do firmware update using the system Update menu (notification of update availability is not there). This is because the bootloader is now unlocked and I don't know if it is possible to relock it. I guess I have to wait for the full manual package of Android 7 to become available or see if anyone can help me to relock the bootloader and then update from Android 6.0 original firmware. I was excited to be finally getting Android 7.0 but only managed to use it for 1 day. Oh well, you live and learn.:crying:

UPDATE! As some of us have found out. ASUS has now removed the Nougat firmware (MANUAL Update file) for the ZF3U. As my device's bootloader is unlocked I can no longer receive OTA updates. Perhaps someone could give us an update on the status of the OTA release of Nougat for the ZF3U. I have downloaded the file before removal and successfully installed it. I don't mind uploading it to a file sharing website. However, I am currently using it and I am still having the same issues I had when I used the OTA update, so my advice is for everyone to wait for a confirmed final version of the firmware as the version we have may still be buggy. This may be the reason why they removed it and lets hope they fix and reupload soon. Here are quick my observations of the firmware;
-Fingerprint scanner still not registering when device is setup for the first time or under settings later,
-Screen Rotation is not functional on some of my apps that were able to use it previously with Android 6.0
-My device serial nunber has changed to 111111111111111 (15x1s)( I tried lots of things to put it right but all attempts failed)
-Dual Sim settings access from the notification menu shortcuts is no longer there (it was very useful for me),
-Multi-Window is not operating on all the apps for some reason. On the OTA that i had installed I was able to use it but on the manual firmware file this does not seem to work properly.
-My device is no longer showing under my ASUS account as a registered device (I don't know if this is a firmware issue or not as bootloader does show the correct serial no)
Also, does anyone know how or where in the firmware I can extract the boot.img, recovery.img and all the othr essential .img files to restore stocj recovery after root/twrp installation?
If anyone has any ideas as to why the serial number and fingerprint issues are there, I would like to hear from you. Other issues are tolerable. Thanks.

After some thought on your issue, do you now which version of the device you have? Maybe you have an China(CN) device and not World Wide(WW)? Just trying to think about your issues and it seems to possibly be that your firmware may not working correctly. This very well maybe because ASUS dropped a faulty firmware on you/us, or maybe because you tried WW firmware on a CN device? Or vice versa? Have you looked into what would happen if a firmware for a different region was installed on a device?
As for the images, I believe you can get the boot.img inside the firmware zip files you download from ASUS. Just unpack it and the boot.img should be in the root of that folder. I can't find the recovery.img from anywhere, other than from Shaka's megadownload page. I was able to get that one working on my Zenfone though and successfully put my Zf3U back to stock.

Thanks for the reply. My version of ZF3U is the Worldwide WW version and the firmware is definitely the correct one as stated on the original changelog from ASUS as I posted above. I have not tried the CN firmware but I am tempted to give it a go to see what happens. I also noticed that everytime I go into recovery via TWRP I see this red message stating "failed to mount factory/partition [invalid parameters]"
What does this mean and could the phone be stuck between two firmwares and not sure what to do even though I have wiped every wipeable area using TWRP(like I used to with Samsung devices but not sure if this could have caused it). Could this explain why I still cannot use fingerprint scanner on neither Android 7 nor Android 6.
At one point I used the ASUS Flash Tool and I noticed a message whilst attempting to load the firmware stating something like 'encrypting device.....' does this mean anything? Has my device been encrypted somehow in the process resulting in lack of fingerprint registrations on the scanner. Coming from Samsung/Sony/Huawei devices, I am finding the update process with ASUS a bit of a hassle but lets hope they will fix this soon as I believe that currently there is no phablet better than ZF3U. Due to the fact that the firmware has now been removed from their servers, I am beginning to believe that the firmware is faulty and is not doing a clean wipe/reinstall of all parts of the device configurations.

hhhmmm, I had a similar issue with a corrupted cache partition that was causing boot loops. I was able to get it fixed. Try this. Download the latest WW firmware from the website, MM no nougat. Then flash the original boot.img and recovery.img from Shaka's megadownload page. Boot into stock recovery and do a factory reset. They should wipe all the partitions and format them again. After that install update from SD card and choose the latest WW firmware zip you just downloaded. Profit??

I have tried your suggestion numerous times and;
-it appears that when I boot to Android M, I don't have any sound in calls, fingerprint and other issues fully remain.
-when I upgrade to Android N, then Iam able to hear call sounds but fingerprint scanner still does not register and other issues still remain.
I have a feeling that somewhere along the process my device has enabled some sort of encryption and this is preventing the device from enabling all the features. No matter how many times I install/reinstall/wipe using stock or TWRP no change.
Does anyome know how I could disable encryption either using some sort of google service or through root etc... In settings device reports that it is encrypted. Also when I first booted the device after firmware update encrypting device message was shown. Not sure whats going on with my device. Hope to find out/fix soon though.

Hey @AWFRONT How did u manage to go back from android 7 to 6 ...i recently updated my phone to nougat and want to go back to mm. Could u help me out I have unlocked bootloader
Hi! I did not downgrade from Android 7.0 to 6.0 on my new/2nd ZF3U. If you read a post I made in another topic you will see that I am now on my 2nd ZF3U because the 1st one had some serious issues and then it powered off so I gave up and sent for repair through my insurance but they said it could not be repaired so I bought another one with the payout I received and this one I am using, I use in its factory state with Bootloader locked and unrooted and given the lack of developer support for this handset, I do not want to modify anything.
My advice would be to stick with Android 7.0 and if there are any features you are missing then write them out and send to Asus and hope thy will fix in future update. With my previous ZF3U, I did do a downgrade on the 1st ZF3U but this resulted in Fingerprint scanner failing and I could not hear the other side when making and receiving calls and the device serial number in About Phone section was incorrect (changed to all 1s).Unless you have insurance and a spare phone, I would not recommend you downgrading. Too much of a risk with this handset. If you want to do it, then go ahead and you can share yoir findings here.
Instructions to follow:
-Disable and erase fngerprint records in settings
-Prepare a microsd card with the MM manual firmware in it and reboot into recovery.
-If you are rooted then wipe cache and factory reset but do not wipe data/system partition,
-Select update from SD Card and select firmware file and wait for the process to complete.
-reboot back.into recovery, you should hopefully see the factory kernel has downgraded to I think version 1.26 from 3.11 and then do another factory wipe and reboot and see the results.
Sorry, cannot be of much help but I wish the developers could pay a little bit more attention to this device like the Samsung Note series.?

all of this from twrp or stock recovery
If you have TWRP installed then apply from it, if not you can use the stock recovery of Android 6.0 as posted in one of the topics of ZF3U forum sections and flash it using custom recovery and then flash the appropriate firmware file of Android MM version 6.0 and on completion wipe cache, factory data and reboot.
Due to lack of developer support for this device, I do not recommend that you rollback the firmware. When my 1st device failed I realised that ASUS devices don't have the software fixability ease of Samsung devices so I am using my 2nd ZF3U in its original factory state. I love the device as it is and don't want to mess with it and root is no longer important to me.

1.) Turn off the phone. Hold down Volume Up + Home + Power until you see a little Android guy. It will say Applying System Update or something like that possibly, and just let it do it's thing until a menu comes up.
2.) Select "Apply update from ADB". You can scroll using the volume buttons and select using the power button.
3.) Make sure you have ADB and the proper drivers installed on your PC:
http://dl.adbdriver.com/upload/adbdriver.zip
4.)Put the firmware in the ADB folder. You can rename it to anything easy to remember like "FIRMWARE".
5.) In the ADB folder, hold SHIFT + right mouse click and choose "Open command window here". Then type the command "adb sideload FIRMWARE" (where FIRMWARE is how you named your file).
6.) Wait patiently.
7.) The phone will reboot and will hang at AT&T logo. This can take another 10 minutes, just wait until it's done
Ok, so I'm a novice at best on flashing with Odin... just flashed my AT&T S7 for the second time today, loading the SM-G930U version of Oreo (G930UUEU8CRJ2).
My understanding is that the 8 in the firmware version (G930UUEU8CRJ2) indicates that it is bootloader v. 8. I also understand that once you update the bootloader, it is impossible to downgrade it... So when I realized I couldnt enable Wifi calling on SM-G930U firmwares I thought I would flash back to the AT&T firmware, and then debloat it to improve the performance. But i cant find an SM-G930A Oreo Rom with BL v. 8.
I thought this one might be, but the 3 files seem to be independant of each other, and the 3rd file that lloked like it might be BL8, is less than 50MB...
So Im hoping you can provide some guidance, and im hoping i didnt shoot myself in the foot with this SM-G930U firmware.
Thank you

The bootloader binary was updated to 8. After you flash this you'll be stuck on Oreo.
Full firmware for G930A G930AUCS8CRJ2 will be uploaded later today.

Awesome! Thank you, thank you!
I actually really like Oreo, just trying to get Oreo and WiFi calling working on my phone (My Office at work fights all day for 1 bar of cell signal), I had hoped that WiFi calling worked in the SM-G930U variant since everyone talked about it running so much better, but alas, it still doesn't support WiFi Calling (Stupid me for thinking it might have had support added recently).
Thank you again
(My Wife is sure to get upset with me once again working on my phone again today... whoops)
Thanks , G930AUCS8CRJ2 is working fine so far. Do you mind sharing how you go about 'converting' a set of ODIN files to a flashable adb zip? Do you just unextract every single archive in the .md5 files? and then zip it all up? And would rooting to G930AUCU4CRI2 brick my phone now that I am on CRJ2? My bad for all of the questions.

You mean about G930AUCS8CRJ2 sideload with adb? Im just pulling the update from AT&T servers and uploading it here. I don't know how to make sideload zip. And for the rooting part I don't know if its possible now because the bootloader binary was updated to 8, try to search here on xda and see if you can find root methods for this firmware

I actually have a S7 G930A. Rooted before, not rooted now.. Is there a way to do any of these updates without hooking up to a PC? I actually have no charge port functions and can only use wireless charger to charge the phone till i get the port fixed someday to do these features. I am on Android 8.0 oreo that i installed to sd card and updated from there like a year ago? Is that possible to do? Use SD card update.. Or. Would love to root the phone again, but cent seem to find a one click root app that will work with this phone..

Yes, you can update your phone without pc, just download the update you need from your phone, put the update in your sd card, go to recovery and select the option "Apply update from SD card"

I was thinking something like that was possible. I have baseband version G930AUCU4CRB5 Android 8.0.0 on the AT&T Gal S7 as mentioned, I never saw any updates from this version to go up to a newer version or get into regular updates from OTA. 2 issues I would like to also fixed, that came with the manual update to 8.0 oreo on my phone was the HR heart rate sensor on the back by your flash(red LED) always goes off.. And have tried to go to Samsung health and do some settings to turn it off, but seems to show back up eventually. Also, the issue of not having a working LED indicator, works fine when the phone is POWERED off. and charges. But in OS, it won't work, screen off or on bc of the update. If anyone knows how those issues could be fixed and if there is a possible newer update from my baseband mentioned below. And thanks for the response.
HI, Help needed
Hi,
I wanted to check if it is possible to flash the latest Oreo firmware you have here for downloading dirrectly to my samsung s7 that is currently running on 7.0? Current BaseBand is G930AUCU4BQK2
Basically what happened was that i lost all my contacts on my phone, I ended up download Dr.Phone to my laptop, which i used to try and recover my numbers. What i didnt know was that dr.phone rooted my device which has caused me nothing but headaches.
I now want to flash my phone and get updated to oreo and have my phone working normally again. Since dr.phone did whatever it did to my phone I lost use of my finger print scanner, had to disable samsung health as it kept trying to open on its own, my phone is lagging and freezing constantly..
I just want my phone to be normal again and unrooted and updated.
Lastly my phone is an AT&T device, that i bought second hand in Dubai, if i flash stock firmware is it going to carrier lock my device to AT&T again?
Any advice and help with this matter would be greatly appreciated.

N970U and N970U1 Firmware Links Here

For those who aren't already aware, N970U is the model number of all of the US carrier versions of the Note 10. The N970U1 is the model number of the same device, but sold by Samsung SIM unlocked and with no carrier bloatware. Firmware is 100% interchangeable among these models: any U or U1 firmware version can be flashed to any U or U1 device at any time, assuming that you're not trying to downgrade the bootloader. A "U to U" or "U1 to U1" flash does not require a factory reset, but changing from one firmware to the other will require one. Also, U firmware is identical for the 4 base files (AP, BL, CP, CSC) for each individual build, no matter which carrier it comes from. So if you download 2 different carrier versions of the exact same build, the 4 base files will be identical. Where the firmware differs is in the USERDATA file - that's where the carrier bloatware and customizations reside.
This is not a "beginner's guide to Odin flashing" type post/thread, so I won't list basic, step-by-step instructions. My threads are geared towards those who already know what they're doing. If you're new to manually flashing Samsung firmware, I recommend you consult one of the "beginner's" posts/threads - there are tons of them here on XDA.
Happy flashing!
U firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=297977
U1 firmware: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=297978
NOTES:
- DON'T QUOTE THE OP WHEN YOU REPLY, kthx
- I have an identical thread for the Note 10+
- My zips are compressed extra small for space and bandwidth savings. The default Windows extractor can't handle it, so you'll need a 3rd party tool like 7zip, WinRAR, etc
- My naming method for folders on AFH is: build - bootloader - Android version
So "SAT - 1 - 9.0" means the full build number ends in SAT, it's bootloader version 1, and it's Android 9.0. When bootloader and Android versions increment, the first build to have those changes will have its folder notated appropriately.
- HOME CSC file keeps data intact; using the other CSC will wipe data. Flashing USERDATA will also wipe data
- I know AFH servers/mirrors can be wonky sometimes, so if you want to download the latest version of whatever firmware you're seeking yourself, you can do so via SamFirm or Frija (plenty of links and threads here on XDA). I pay for a subscription to a site that gets beta builds and also gets the official releases (usually) before they hit SamFirm, so that's where my files come from. However, I don't have unlimited bandwidth on the site, and it's also quite time consuming to download the files, zip them up, and upload them to AFH. And, I do threads like this for every single Sx and Note x model - so I won't be uploading every single update version. The only full builds that I upload are ones where I get access to a new bootloader and/or Android version early, before they hit SamFirm.
- You can get USERDATAs from SamFirm for everything but AT&T and Cricket- those files will never be on SamFirm. So I'll try to always upload at least one USERDATA per bootloader increment for those carriers, and I'll also upload any full builds if AT&T is the only carrier to get that specific build, because you won't be able to find the files anywhere else.
- For USERDATAS (all the others are self explanatory):
AIO = Cricket
CCT = Xfinity Mobile (Comcast)
CHA - Spectrum Mobile (Charter)
TMK = Metro PCS
- the correct procedure for switching from one carrier's firmware to another is:
1. Flash full U1 firmware package including non HOME CSC
2. Upon boot, insert a SIM of the carrier whose firmware you want
3. Watch for the popup that says "reboot to apply new carrier settings" etc, and do it
4. After that restart completes, reboot back to Download mode and flash the full U firmware package, with the USERDATA file of the carrier whose firmware you want
Firmware is now available via SamFirm and Frija, but manual entry is required in a lot more cases than previous models. Hopefully that's just because the phone technically doesn't release until Friday, and that they change that on Friday or soon after.
Manual entry is currently required for VZW, CHA, and TMB U firmware, and for all carriers/regions/CSCs of U1 firmware

Thanks for the links. I wonder if my Note10 tomorrow will get a software update out of the box.

I only saw the news about the Verizon models getting updated. Theoretically that means that Xfinity and Charter should also have updates, since they all get the same updates at the same time. Not sure about any other models yet

By the way, I did use manual entry in SamFirm to find TMB firmware and download it. As a rule of thumb, I usually don't flash my phones right away after getting it, as I want to make sure that it isn't defective
Wonder if we need another Odin version or the regular 3.13/or Patched would work

Cool, my PC is ready and setup for Note10 Any idea if XAA firmware and the carrier's firmware are within the range/build date to allowing flashing? As I know the downgrade usually fails.

You can't downgrade if there's only one software version that's been released so far - there's nothing to downgrade to.
But even if it's months or years down the road, the flash will only fail if you're trying to downgrade bootloaders. As long as you operate within the same bootloader, you can flash anything you want
This is the one I'm getting direct from Samsung: SM-N970UZSAXAA. It is supposed to be unlocked. I asked for a Sprint sim Card. I hope it's not tied to Sprint, but can be moved to any US Carrier if I want to once the TMB-SPR merger completes.
SamFirm shows this firmware for TMB: N970USQU1ASH4 and I checked U1(XAA) as well and they are the same

Looks like everything is back to normal, in SamFirm. Manual entry is now only required for VZW U firmware, as has traditionally been the case. Also, if you type in an older version for VZW, it will automatically give you the newest version, if there is one. So you don't have to always know the exact newest version - entering in the correct details of any previous version should always trigger the newest one.
Also, SH4 is now showing as the newest build for U1, T-Mobile, and Verizon. Spectrum gets SH5 (no idea why), and Sprint is still back on SGO.

Received my Note 10 U1, tested it on original firmware XAA(build: ASGO) and just now completed flashing to T-MO without updating to ASH4 build and want the phone to find and update firmware to see if OTA works. To get to download mode, I needed to press Vol + and - and power and the same time.
Flashed 5 files: BL, AP, CP, regular CSC and USERDATA. Device shows T-Mobile logo at boot, has Advanced Messaging, Video Call and I don't see any bloatware except for couple of T-Mo apps.
Went through setup and was able to get new OTA with August 1 patch(screenshot)

You can go to my profile to find all of my threads. But flashing U probably won't give you wifi calling. It's been extensively discussed in my S10 threads, and it usually doesn't work if you have a U1 model

Quick question, did your provider codes change? I flashed the Verizon files and am still stuck on XAA? Any help would be appreciated.

Initially, before I put in TMB sim, phone was on XAA/XAA/XAA. Now after all was said and done, my phone shows TMB/TMB/XAA. Make sure you put in the sim when you get the phone and when it has original firmware, so it can apply sim carrier's settings. Then you can flash and get the results that you need.

That's not much information.
1. What's the current U build?
2. Which U1 build are you trying to flash?
3. Where do you get that error exactly?
4. What Odin version are you using?
5. Do you get any other errors, either in Odin or on the phone itself?

Sorry, the phone was purchased as a unlocked version from samsung, model number SM-N970UZSAXAA/SM-970U1 is what the box says.
1. N970USQU1AHS4 is the build that I was able to flash. And the actual problem is that I had a brain fart and didn't read your simple instructions and instead of booting the phone first I opened the box and flashed the firmware. The issue I am having is my "Service provider SW ver. is stuck at XAA/XAA/XAA and I'm trying to get it to switch to VZW.
2. N970U1UEU1ASH4 I looked at all the n970u1 firmwares on samfirm and this was the only one that had XAA.
3. After I load the files into their locations and hit start it checks the files and the fails on the 4th step, I can run it again and find out exactly if you'd like.
4. 3.13.1 patched I believe.
5. None
I may be taking the wrong route to answer my problem. I really need help with getting it to show the right service provider code VZW.
Thank you for your help.

How To Guide How to change regions on Oneplus 10T 5g via Update/Downgrade Packages:

(Moderators, please make this post a sticky, and i will keep it updated of any changes or issues that might come up in future builds, thanks)
To clarify things.... I am the dude who figured out how to side-step from model to model... I have went from 2419 (android 12 .11), to 2413 (android 13), Down to 2415 (android 12 .08), then 2417 (android 12.10), back up to 2415 (android 13), down to 2415 (android 12 .05), 2417 (android 12 .08) and finally a FULL sidestep 2417 (12 .08) to 2415 (12.08) which the latter is supposed to be impossible, with downgrade package, yet i am sitting here and i have done it!
Spoiler: Credits for discovery ===>
!!! Credit for discovering the Downgrade Packages, and Information about OPPO/Oneplus Bootloader restrictions goes to, Maamdroid , and EtherealRemnant !... Without their most important input, i would not have had the courage, and knowledge of exactly what i was going up against, in attempting a region change on a BL/Carrier locked device. They were the geniuses who helped me derive this method, i was just the guinea pig willing to go Dr. Frankenstein on my T-Mobile locked, handicapped device. !!!!

Spoiler: Only open if you acknowledge the risk!
The ONLY requirements of the downgrade packages on the 10T, is that you CANNOT downgrade to a build version that is lower than your current one IF you are attempting to region hop while staying on the same version of android.... (ie. you cannot go from A12 .10, to A12 .08... but you can go from 2415 A12 .05 to 2413 A12 .08) Got that?
One other important thing is that in the zip file that contains the payload.bin, there is an additional file named payload_properties.txt. You need to open that file in a text editor, and look for the line about the "Update_Engine_Check_Disable".... by default it is set to 0 which makes Local Updater check to see if the models match in some files. A mismatch will just cancel your update. Local updater is KEY to doing any Region Swaps, especially with a locked bootloader. This is because Local Updater does NOT perform any of the flashing itself... that whole progress bar is your phone verifying the contents of the payload.bin to make sure that all files in the manifests are present, and compatible with your device... it actually KEEPS YOU FROM BRICKING your phone because of a mismatched file/ or bad flash. If Local Updater detects ANYTHING that is not interchangeable, it will crash during the verification, your phone will reboot, and start normally as if you never attempted an update.
Local updater is also not capable (afaik) of applying ANY changes to the Bootloader, or boot partition. As well it seems limited in its ability to even fully access some userdata files. All of my developer options were in exactly the same state that they were prior to each flash. The only deviation of that , was in DOWNGRADING from A13 to A12... but every upgrade, no matter which model fw used seemed to have done the 'Data, system, bin, etc, var, lib, and kernel, plus a few others' , but the truly secure partitions such as 'aboot, xbl, and system-priv' + deep memory blocks werent touched i believe.
The END result of each region swap will be your device FULLY IDENTIFYING as the model for that region.. (ex. 2419 will now show as 2415 if Global, 2413 if India, or 2417 if North America)
This will change EVERY TIME you flash a different region, and Local Updater will block you from flashing if it detects a lower build, EXCEPT for the 2415 Downgrade Package. So ALWAYS use that as a base if you want to go to another region. <ie. to go from 2413 to 2417, i recommend first flashing the 2415 downgrade, which will put you on A.08 build, then you can update to any region you want, even the Android 13 builds.... but if you want to go to a different region and back to 12, you must use that 2415 Downgrade or Local updater will stop you. The 2415 is a signed official rollback package direct from oneplus, so it allows you to downgrade from pretty much any version.
***** KEY FACT ***** This ONLY applies to OTA upgrade and downgrade packages that come in a single zip file that contains 3 items. Payload.bin Payload_properties.txt and Meta_Inf folder ... If you unzip the fw that you dl, and it contains anything other than those 3 that i just named, you either have a Fastboot package, a Full system package, or a MODIFIED package which you should NOT interact with unless you completely trust the source it was dl from. I have seen some NAAAAASTY scripts, coded in Russian, Vietnamese, Chinese, and Wingdings (yes that weird windows font!) ... and they are becoming VERY GOOD at moving to an app directory, changing a files name and replacing that file with WHATEVER IT IS, but renamed to a something common to the location! So by doing that, those files evade most onboard detection, if they have modified code, because that file name was whitelisted . Stick with the signed rollback package, and OTA either direct from the Oneplus community websire, or from the "gsmmafia" site, as both are packages sourced direct from the manufacturer and contain no modified code!
***How to get the OTA files for the region you want to switch to... follow instructions EXACTLY and you wont have an error.***
You have to use the "OXYGEN UPDATER" app from the google play store... When you first open it , it will tell you that your device is on the current version... ignore that, and you have to open the settings menu for it, and go enable ADVANCED MODE.... This will allow you to go back and CHOOSE what device you are supposedly using. (kinda a cheap override command)... doing this will let you choose the 2417 (NA) model. **Now once again HIGHLY IMPORTANT that you are doing this ONLY after flashing the Downgrade/Rollback so that you will be on 2415 A.08 build... cuz then when you select the 2417 model, it will show an update available for 2417 A.12 build. and also the Android 13 Beta. Pick whichever you want, and click download... NOW once downloaded DO NOT HIT THE REBOOT BUTTON.... this will attempt to flash it via normal methods... instead jump into ADB , go to Shell, and head to /sdcard/ and start looking for the folder where it just downloaded the update. It places it sometimes in the main /Sdcard/ folder, and other times in the /Sdcard/Android/Data/<app name>/ folder.... you will know it when u see it. Find it and copy it to your computer and then you have the official OTA saved. After that, make sure it is moved to the /Sdcard/ folder and use "local updater". Will ask you to confirm, click Ok, and it should start the verification and flash process.
Be advised it will APPEAR like its frozen or no progress for like 4 minutes, then it will slowly start moving. Once it gets to 99, it will appear stuck again... just be patient and about 5 min later it will complete. Total flash time is arouund 20-25 min.

... And to clarify again.. This does NOT unlock the bootloader, nor does it change our T-Mobile Devices ability to unlock via conventional methods. (still working on that)
Quick expl. In our T-Mobile models, Oppo worked directly with the carrier and enabled a feature new to Android 12 and future builds, which allows the FACTORY bootloader to be wrapped up and hidden from the FastBoot binary... And move a "copy" of the bootloader into "userspace" partitions. These partitions are called AFTER the initial secure boot has passed, and therefore disabled normal FastBoot operations. Instead in userspace, "FastbootD" is enabled, and for all who know of it, that is not much more than a glorified recovery. All OEM, and Flashing commands are rendered inoperable, because bootloader operations cannot be modified once the system is up, or in "default mode". This proves my theory of Local updater not modifying partitions. It uses the currently identified locations of the files that need to be updated to the new region on just changes them where they are already located. For "FastBoot mode" to work properly, it would need to UNWRAP the original bootloader, and disable the "Userspace Init" instructions, which cannot be done on a already running OS.
If somehow you are LUCKY and after your region change, you are able to run 'adb reboot bootloader' ... And your device starts in 'Fastboot Mode' and does not kick you out, then you should be fully able to run the Unlock commands to unlock your bootloader, without need to flash anything else. The chances of that are very minute... But I have seen stranger things with this device. Tho most likely, that command will reboot you right back into normal android immediately .
I have this problem with bootloader and I don't know how to solve it on ghasedak24 website.

what you mean??? i dont have any info pertaining to the real bootloader for this, the Tmobile model. Ours ships with this Oppo/Oneplus Hybrid crap what makes Fastboot Mode inaccessible. It doesnt respond to the keypress method of getting to it... and adb reboot bootloader attempts to boot into it, but the phone reboots exactly .5 seconds aftter it shows the screen. The only thing you can access is FASTBOOTD which give you literally ZERO functions that we need for the bootloader. OEM, BOOT, Flashing, Flash all fail in FASTBOOTD. Other than that man i honestly would suggest you speak with MAAMDROID because they seem to know more about the OPPO loader. MY knowledge of what is taking place came from me interrogating a Oneplus employee for about 4 straight hours when he broke and told me everything.
NOW I WILL STATE ONE DEVELOPMENT.... The GSMMAFIA user who is responsible for all the MSM firmwares that are now available for the 10T, is 100% legit. You can download the entire UPDATED Full Flash FW including the MSM TOOL... for free.... but without a login/pass authenticated, they are not much help to us. BUT... i have confirmed that the guy is a REAL Oneplus Employee, and he uses official software to remote connect and flash the MSM Unbrick firmware to your device. His charge is $45 ... but he is HIGHLY sensitive to ppl with Fiddler, or any capture programs running on your computer, so much to the point that he checks your app tray and task manager when he remote connects, and if he even sees one of these kinda programs, you lose your $45 and he disconnects. Just head to the GSM Mafia page for the 10T firmware and you can get his WhatsAPP number to contact him and setup.
Me personally, I have WAY MORE than just Fiddler, Wireshark, Proxifier, WinpCap, and many more programs that i know will spook him, and i am not gonna wipe my pc for something that is not guaranteed to do what i want. BUT if you have a bootloader error, you have nothing to lose, and flashing a full, Unbrick fw thru MSM, like he does just MIGHT format all partitions first and therefore erase the instruction init filee that locks up fastboot. Literally EVERY model except the 2419 has normal Fastboot, and an unlockable BL....
Just a thought!
I did not find any over the air or upgrade packages for the 2417 model from the above link. How did you get back to the 2417 model? And what APK did you use because some of them did not work on my device. It would just say verification failed. I thought I tried to go from a global.08 to the over the air .10 2417 model but it didn't work for me it just said verification failed. I did try to go sideways from the global .10 to the North American .10 but it also did a verification failed. maybe I'll try again. I got the over-the-air 2417 model update from the OnePlus updater app.

the OP updater app only shows the 500mb OTA 2417 and not the 4gb full install. Will it still work? On the global version .08 I could not get the in built local install to install anything without verification failure. Also 2417 variant does not have beta 13.

Links straight from 1+ community... android 13 OTA update packages for 2413, 2415, and 2417 ....
AND
Rollback packages for the same respective models... All in zip format. Must unpack and change payload_properties... Yadda yadda....
Android 13 all regions and Android 12 rollback all regions!
Now you can rollback to any region you want and start from there! I must remind EVERYONE... If you have not Sim unlocked your device prior to changing regions, you will lose that ability for the near future, because there will not be a T-Mobile official upgrade/rollback packages released afaik until maybe after the new year. (Don't know why.. just relaying what T-Mobile told me!). But the Unlock apk is strictly for the 2419 model and there is not currently a way back to it.
And be aware, that if you have ANY belief that you might be considering either doing this or maybe unlocking bootloader if we find an exploit, I highly advise you flip your OEM UNLOCKING switch to ON, now! Because T-Mobile may find a way to turn that toggle grey again if your sim is still locked. Just an fyi

GLO version is not NA. GLO is 2415 EU. I know this because this is the reason I'm stuck on 2415.
yes you are correct... and i can honestly say i have NO idea where i got a 2417 beta 1 android 13 firmware from, but I DO have it downloaded to my computer ... I am looking at it. I know for a fact that i got it from some chinese site, or vietnamese ... something like that... but because of that i wont upload or link it, as i stated in my OP, i had 2 of my Laptops, one macbook pro running parallels 18 from bootcamp, AND my Dell laptop, BOTH infected with a VERY FIERCE malware/virus that took me almost 12hrs to find everything altered, and i STILL dont feel 100% about that! I get some random cpu spikes while doing nothing, but cannot find the process doing it. So it was definitely a modified package of android 13 ... C.11 .... (which gives me ideas because if they modded a payload and it still flashed, then maybe i can do the same to crash that dumbass init script somehow.... anyways... different thread)
if i find the link i will post it with caution.... but YES that 573 mb file will work to move you to 2417. Personally i would consider looking more towards using a GSMMAFIA Full Flash FW, for 2417 , but thats just me, and i trust them. but again, Yes this file will work.
(its very funny how the official oneplus site shows 3 different files for 3 Android 13 updates, as well as 3 files for 3 rollback packages
NONE OF WHICH are the 2419.... why create 3 files for 2 versions?
I can't move to 2417 from 2415 with built in updater. Even changed 0 to 1. Downloaded update apk and it doesn't see ota zip in root directory. I think I need full install zip for 2417. Any ideas how to go from the 2415.08 to the 2417.10? What's even better is the global package doesn't want to install either through the inbuilt updater. I have to use the updater APK to install the global package.
There's something in that zip that keeps it from verifying it and it's not the zero and the one. The updater APK doesn't even see that zip file it only sees the GLO zip file.
The incremental GLO a.12 did not want to flash. Failed every time I tried. The full GLO a.12 package was giving me problems flashing also. It would get to 40% complete and then fail. Third time flashing after rebooting finally took.

Hey you seem like a very competent programmer you should shoot me a private message and add me and discord I have the OnePlus 10t and I've been trying to figure out how to restore it if we run into a problem again I did restore them at once but it doesn't seem like I can do it the same way again I would like to get more details but I want to keep it to a private chat cuz I don't want to get people's hopes up a way to fix a phone that isn't real
This is great! I have been looking to change region from India onto a Global Version.
I have the Oneplus Ace Pro which is a chinese release of the 10T, the seller I bought this from flash it to Oneplus 10T India region.
Will give it more time though, wanted to get feedback first from those that has the Ace Pro Version.
so after doing some research i have found 2 things... 1. Oppo has ppl watching this thread and has made some alterations to the files that come from their server... these are the only 3 i had original copies of but of those 3 ALL of them had a minor difference and all were modified right after I revealed that i had success in converting my 2419 to a 2415. Once i stated that i was able to move to ANY region using my method, SOMETHING very small was changed in the files, and that is the reason the 2417 OTA fails to load in Local Updater... look at the attached pic.
So this is obvious that they are onto us and this is a concern to them. You should still be able to Downgrade with any region that has an Android 13 Beta. The technique works perfectly as long as you have a full version of Android in between.... AKA 12 to 13, and 13 back down to 12. And because of the new links in the OP, you can use local update to roll back to 2413 or 2415 ... I do believe that a 2417 beta is imminent and as such there will have to be a 2417 rollback released with it. There is still no danger with using this method, as you see because if the file is incompatible. local updater will fail to populate it!
Now for the second thing. OPPO used to have a special function in the Engineering Mode, which when activated would re-enable Fastboot Mode on the devices temporarily. This function is still alive in these devices today, only it has been hidden away deeper. This was confirmed to me after another grueling 3 hr chat with OnePlus technicians. I was told, "Sir we do not have access to the program you are asking about. The MSM Tool is completely maintained and controlled by OPPO division, and while yes we are under their ownership, there remains 2 different divisions in our company" ... 1st tech ..... "Sir you would need to enable fastboot mode so that you can flash the original firmware to your device, if it is failing to boot. You need to enter "Factory Mode" and input the locking code which is calculated from your device Imei. Once you have entered the code, you will be instantly rebooted into fastboot mode, and there you will be able to flash the signed firmware to it. Do not attempt to flash unsigned firmware as it will fail if your device comes with a locked bootloader." ..... 2nd tech......
This is not FastbootD he is talking about, because in FastbootD you do not need "Factory Mode" to enter it, and a little bit further research found this post which almost exactly matches what the tech told me!
Factory Mode Unlock
Of course the same way that Oppo decided to interfere with me, they also interfered with this method. They went and simply unlocked engineering mode completely in our devices, which made the screen where you enter the code, vanish. But i guarantee you, that based on some digging into the system files that our devices have running, i found several processes mentioning privileged processes that have simple flags that are called when "pre-boot" functions are initiated. Now in YEARS of time that OPPO has had to deal with the programming these devices they have never managed to actually eliminate "Fastboot Mode". They just become sneakier in hiding it behind user accessible operations. I am fully confident that the same thing applies here. While i dont have all the answers, i implore you all to apply the knowledge i have given and help find just where it is hidden in ours.
To call Engineering Mode on our phones, the code was changed to:
*#899*
Maybe the unlock screen has been hidden in here under a different label... maybe they created a new dialer code, but make no mistake, OPPO must have a need for this mode for repairing our phones otherwise they would eliminate it completely. Oppo is a 2-bit chinese company who is too cheap to design a new OS, and therefore somewhere, there is going to be a method to gain what were looking for. That is all i have for now.... but i am still digging. ( i have managed to get an additional 2 weeks to hold onto the 10t before i have to drop it into the return box and hand it over. So any ideas that you come up with, you DO NOT have to risk your personal devices! I can try ANYTHING on mine with absolutely ZERO ****s to give, as to it getting bricked! BRAINSTORM PPL! let me know what you come up with and i will try it!)

Well i do know that the Zero - One does trigger a fail, thru simple trial and error. But you are correct in that it is much more than that. I have managed to open 2 different Payload.bin files, SWAP highly important files in each such as Boot.img ... and then pack them back, AND THEY STILL FLASHED... so it definitely doesnt have anything to do with the file signatures, because the sigs would change considering the boot.img is of different sizes. There is something possibly hidden in one of the Android Manifest files, or one of the many Build.prop files in the Payload that is what triggers a fail. If we can figure out exactly what file it is, we can find out whether we can alter them, or eliminate them completely. My focus has shifted though, now that we have a working region swap. Now i am focused on this special function of the engineering/factory mode, because if it can be found, it will mean a FULL BL unlock... THAT will negate the need for these, because we will be able to flash whatever we want !
AND YES OPPO.... I KNOW YOU ARE WATCHING MY THREAD NOW! JUST KNOW THAT IDGAF! I AM AND I WILL CONTINUE TO CHIP AT YOUR B.S. ATTEMPT TO KEEP OWNERS FROM DOING WHATEVER THEY WANT WITH THEIR DEVICES! YOU DONT OWN THE PHONES... YOU MANUFACTURE THEM! ONCE THEY LEAVE YOUR WAREHOUSES, AND WE PAY THE STORE FOR THEM, THEY BELONG TO US. IF YOU DONT WANT TO SUPPORT THEM AFTER WE CHANGE THE FW, SO BE IT.... BUT THAT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO DENY US THAT OPTION... THIS AINT CHINA! THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE WORLD WHICH PURCHASE YOUR PHONES ARE FREE REPUBLICS, SO YOU DONT DICTATE OR GOVERN THE USAGE OF OUR DEVICES! REALIZE THIS OR BECOME LIKE MOTOROLA, AND SO MANY OTHER COMPANIES WHO WENT OBSOLETE FOR A VERY LONG TIME! WHEN YOUR SALES DECLINE 50% OR MORE BECAUSE YOU ALIENATED A BIG GROUP OF YOUR CUSTOMER BASE, THEY WILL ELIMINATE THE EXECUTIVES WHO WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS LOSS!

So I actually have a complete list pulled off of my OnePlus 10t the 2417 edition of the ussd codes otherwise the dialer codes that can and should work on the phone I can post them if you want or I can send a link to them.
