Brother, I think you want rooted 6.0, and you r following OP of Dev @bigrammy.
So as I do, you have to flash Only system.sin (OEM sin - if you want boot animation of 6).
Overall after rooted 5.0+ you have to flash Only system, (OEM) partition of MM, and that's called "systemless root"

I can't c what's the error code, mean there is no error code after flash, but flash aborted, I've never seen this kind of error.
So I can't help you, I suggest you to repair device with companion tool. Tool Will update in 6.
And/Or
I can provide you some links which you can find also via Google...
So Google it and read all instruction carefully, check drivers, to flash via flashtool.

Yes, if you've NOT changed your boot, and if you rooted it, obviously you have unlocked BL and flashed custom boot, custom recovery, so I think if you'll flash whole ftf on unlocked BL, including boot, cause boot loop,
one thing you can do, relock BL, then flash all partition,
Mean if you want stock MM, you have to loose root, .
Or use " XPERIA COMPANIAN TOOL " and repair ur C5. You'll get working stock MM.

Try again, prepare files to repaire, at last < disconnect < boot to Relock BL via flashtool < power off device < click next in companion tool.
May it work.
Problem is you have rooted and unlocked BL,
And what's the status of BL in service menu?

Hi everybody there! I've got a problem - I've bricked my ST15i, now it bootloops if switched on and it won't charge as well.
I failed to boot into recovery regular way, it doesn't work.
The only way out I see is flashing another FW via flashtool, I've tried two different firmwares and the result is the same:
It stops working after the last line, while the progress bar is still 0%

PPS:
Wotan sees my phone, flashtool sees my phone, adb doesn't - that's strange.
I tried to flash it with wotan (I remember it helped me some day) but due to previous unsuccessful attempts to flash the phone, there's no more free memory for a firmware, I guess it's the reason even wotan fails.

Unlock bootloader and flash custom kernel..
Sent from my WT19i using xda app-developers app
Try to flash the gingerbread firmware. Look in my signature there's a rooting guide. In step 2 there is how to root .62/.69. There's explained how to use flashtool step by step.
Maybe the firmware is corrupted?
Are you sure you didn't mark exclude system etc?
Did you try installing flashtool again?

Thanks, but since my phone doesn't start and the recovery doesn't work, I don't think it's possible to unlock BL
But thanks.
You said seus won't help but normally you can reinstall stock firmware, too.
Did you try pc companion? Install it and go to support zone, repair options and you can install stock firmware again. Just try it

I've read the guide, that's exactly how I did it, I tried three different FWs, I'm sure I didn't mark "exclude" checkboxes, What about reinstalling flashtool, well, I'll try. Hope that helps.

The PCC wants my phone started. I mean, it needs the android system to be launched. And that's impossible in my case.
I need a way to flash switched off phone loaded into flashmode. And as I see, there're only Wotan and Flashtool which can do that

Unlock the bootloader using the test-point method and flash a new kernel, firmware using flashtool.
Hope it helps

You don't need to start phone, if you want to repair. It will flash it, look in that video. It's for x10 but same procedure. It could work
Thanks everybody!
"Try-Again" method worked. On the 40th attempt to flash it through Wotan it finally worked!
Summary:
It's still not clear why doesn't ADB see my device
It's still not easy to understand, why Flashtool corrupts an attempt to flash the fw at ZERO% after "Ending flash session"
SUS won't help as it considers the bricked phone is up to date. Funny
PCC need the phone to be switched on and successfully started, no use therefore
Wotan saves my phone , it's the third time it does.

If u want ics just upgrade officially. And rrot using kernel trickk...
Sent from my SK17i using Tapatalk 2
You need to flash. 42.. Then root. Then push first file of Xperia root rev.X and then upgrade via flashtool without wiping data. After that push second .bat of Xperia root rev.X and just that
But if you are already stuck into loops then Flash Gb kernel & Rom via flashtool
Sent from my WT19i using xda premium
If that happens it can be because windows is installing drivers, just wait and try again, at least that's how i fix it. If you wanna root ics, flash it and use kernel trick, works on locked bl anyways, it's in general section. Easier, no downgrades, safe
I have rooted my phone without downgrade. ICS 4.0.4 running.

Flashing to .230 not working
Hey All,
I have trying to follow the steps in this thread
[Root/Recovery] SGP321/311/3xx [FTF] 10.5.1.A.0.283 (Stock 4.4.4) (no Wipe needed)
and I am unable to flash my Xperia Tablet X SgP312 (US) back to .230. Every time I flash it then either check the firmware or plug it back in to the flash tools it still says I have .283.

search for flashtool guide. It'll explain to you how to flash. Or watch youtube video manual how to flash with flashtool.
My brother asked me to get remote play working on his sgp311 US. First thing I set out to root it. I found a few methods here, but one has a dead download link. That leaves this method. The bundle populated correctly but once I hit create it does nothing. It never progresses anywhere. Any idea why. Tried with same result in Mac and Windows. Thanks.

Man, I tried everything here and almost bricked the damn thing but managed to save it somehow. Crazy irritating. So I followed this guide at http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-tablet-z/development/root-sp321-ftf-10-5-1-0-283-t2873377 and almost bricked it.
On step 18 and 19 I get this beautiful error

Correct Recovery to load on a rooted Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 running stock?
What's the correct Recovery to load on a rooted Xperia Tablet Z SGP321 running stock 10.5.1.A.0.283(4.4.4)?
Just used the tutorial to load the 230 kernel and root, which worked perfectly, thanks very much
I'd love Philz Touch, had that on a S3, it seems this is the correct recovery for the SGP321:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2261606
Can anyone confirm that is good to go, I'm always careful these days!
EDIT: Tried the recovery at the above link, works perfectly!

Just rooted my Xperia Tab Z, but ...
My purchased apps have 'disappeared', i.e. I have to purchase them again if I want to install them.
By no means a deal-breaker, as I only still use one of them. Just wondering how come and if there is a solution.
I am logged in with the same account, what's more: I have an unrooted Xperia M2 where those apps can still be installed without having to re-purchase.
Any ideas?
Tia

Tablet no longer turns on after step 22
I have the sgp31 1 and after the second flash step (step 22), which according to the log went fine, the tablet just does not reboot. The light doesnt come on anymore if I try to enter flashboot. So nothing seems to work. I know its not a battery as it was fully charged. But for whatever reason it does not turn on anymore. I was hoping there was something I could do so I don't have a bricked device or something.
thanks.

Problem rooting device - Xperia Z Tablet SG311
Hi guys,
I've attempted to root my device (Sony Xperia Z Tablet SG311) using flashtools.
I followed the guide in the link below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-tablet-z/development/root-sp321-ftf-10-5-1-0-283-t2873377
It was all fine right until step 25... Where it says click on the make it ra1n button. I can't seem to find this button on my tablet?. No towelroot app was installed on my device. And also now the wifi is not turning on.
Can anyone help? Clueless here!
Thanks
So I've been working on trying to get my phone rooted for a while and finally got it working after a few threads and trial and error so i thought i'd share my findings.
So to root your E2306 (Xperia m4 aqua) you will need:
Stock rom: https://userscloud.com/vaqpt1y0xdnu
Rootkit: https://www.dropbox.com/s/edse0h6b02odzn1/rootkitXperia_E23xx.zip?dl=0
Adb: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B0MKgCbUM0itNVB1elljU2NPR0k
Flashtool: http://www.flashtool.net/downloads.php
And Finally Twrp installer (If you want a custom bootloader): https://www.dropbox.com/s/yomdwq3p2le9hvi/M4Aqua-lockedTWRP-0.1-installer.zip?dl=0
1. Go download all of the items listed.
2. Install ADB using Installer.
3. Install Flashtool.
4. Run flashtool and click devices then check drivers and make sure your phone shows up.
5. You will need to install phone drivers using flashtool, go to C:\Flashtool\drivers and run Flashtool-drivers.exe
6. Check "Flashmode Drivers" and "Fastboot Drivers" then click install. If a red warning or something shows up saying drivers not safe click install anyway.
7. Now check drivers again and your device should show up.
8. Next copy E2306_26.1.A.1.112_Latin America Generic[WwW.SonyROMS.iR].FTF to C:\Users\(YourUsername)\.flashTool\firmwares
9. Now go to flashtool and click the lightning strike called "Flash Device".
10. Chose "Flashmode" and click "OK".
11. Setup as shown and click flash.
{

}
(APPS_LOG and USERDATA)
12. The log will say preparing files for a bit then a window will open up saying to turn off device and plug it back in. Turn off your phone then hold the volume down while plugging the micro usb back in.
13. The LED will go green showing that its in flashmode, the device should then flash the new rom.
14. Once done disconnect usb and reboot, the boot may take a while 5-10 min.
15. Once booted go to Settings -> About Phone -> then click the build number until you unlock developer mode.
16. Go into developer options and enable "USB Debugging".
17. Plug the phone back in and extract "rootkitXperia_E23xx".
18. Now Copy "files", "src" and "install.bat" into C:\adb.
19. Run install.bat as normal (Not admin) and a box will pop up on your phone asking to trust pc. Do trust pc and let the install.bat continue.
20. The install will say invalid socket, rebooting to avoid crash. Let the phone reboot while staying connected to pc.
21. The phone should boot and the install will finish.
22. You should now have root.
Guide for Custom Recovery (DO ROOT FIRST)
1. Remove "files", "src" and "install.bat" from the ADB folder.
2. Copy the "files", "src" and "install.bat from "M4Aqua-lockedTWRP-0.1-installer" into C:\adb
3. Run install.bat and it will ask for root on phone, grant it root and it should install.
4. To boot into recovery shut down phone and power it on. The phone will show a blue LED at the sony logo. Click volume down and it will show a Purple LED and boot into TWRP.
Warning: DO NOT REBOOT INTO RECOVERY USING "Reboot into recovery/ Reboot Recovery" IT DON'T WORK.

But I downgraded from E2363 to E2333 can't I get back???
Those are two different models of phone. If you are rooting a E2363 then you need a Rom for that. Check your about phone. Does it say what model you have?
I used to have E2363 but I downgraded to E2333 and rooted using roottoolkit
That's the actual phone model? There's a piece of paper in the sdcard spot. Pull it out and look for the model number there.
the image is not showing in the tutorial
Thanks mate!
Everyone who has another type of M4 Aqua can do this too!
Just use an old firmware for your device (in my case E2303).
I used 26.A.2.128 and followed every step.
Thanks @boho555 !!! :good:

Try this firmware https://userscloud.com/p4m0v8k4czmf
Also "ERROR - Drivers need to be installed for connected device" this means you don't have the drivers installed. Check C:\Flashtool\drivers and run flashtool drivers.exe
Then choose "Flashmode" and "Fastboot" drivers then install.

Alright, the firmware your downloading is the only one that will work for your device. However that error seems driver related. Try installing drivers off your phone. (Settings->XperiaConectivity->UsbSettings then switch on "Install software". Then plug the phone in and check the notification bar for a notification to install software.)
Firmware link?
I've been tring to get this to work on my E2306 with no joy for several days now. I'm getting bootloops after flashing the firmware from original post.
I have also downloaded it from two other sources and would always get to the same result.
By the way, it would show in Flashtool when you select the file as being buit for the D2306 (not E2306) !!
So would anyone have another link for the firmware *A.1.112 for E2306 ???
