Hi,
My Xperia X is already upgraded to Nougat stock, no root, bootloader locked. What would right steps to keep DRM keys, root, (unlock bootloader), to install custom ROM Xperia Poison?
TA backup seems to not support Nougat, but I saw thread about Kernel with DRM-fix and Xperia Poison has also built in Kernel with DRM-fix , is that means if I'm not able to backup DRM keys I still have full camera functionality?
Thank you
Answer: I downgraded to MM to get DRM keys.
Please help
I also want to install poison rom. On dual sim X. Please enlighten us Deva. Thanks

If u unlock your BL u lost DRM keys forever. My ROM and DRM-fix is only hack (emulating) to system thinking what keys is ok.
To back up DRM-keys (TA) you need Downgrade to MM and use Dirty cow exploit.
After u sucess U can unlock your BL and install any kernel/rom/recovery.
Can someone explain exactly which keys the phone has, and which features they provide?
thank you so much sir

No need flash drm it included (hack) in kernel. You need DRM keys if back to stock kernel and a stock rom

You can use all Roms on unlocked bootloader, even the stock Sony Rom
All apps except fb music like just work perfectly even after unlock! [only for official unlock, for unofficial unlock, even that works after unlock]
So you need not worry bout that!

As much as I understand ur ques u wanna ask that "if u unlock ur bl...flash custom rom(not all need unlocked bl though)..go back to stock, then will all ur apps work?"
Firstly a recommendation from my side is to use the SEARCH button and google
And to answer ur ques...if u unlock ur phone via official method or with se bootloader unlocking tool, u will lose ur drm keys which u can't ever get back unless u have backed up ur ta(trim area). Though I guess nobody has tried the ta part for his device as it's really dangerous process..any step u do wrong and ull end up with a hard bricked device since ur ta will be damaged...an easy way to unlock while retaining ur drm keys is test point method but the condition is that ur device should 12w11 or earlier manufactured as sony doesn't allow the test point method in newer models after 12w11. Hope this help still I recommend u to use search. U can get all this info by reading and searching
Cheers,

Hi guys,
I have bought a second-hand z2 tablet. Unfortunately it has the BL unlocked and no DRM keys backup. I flashed the last stock rom (firmware 23.0.1.A.4.44) keeping bootloader unlocked. I read that with KK update X-reality should work also without DRM keys, but this is not true for me. Is there any way to fix this problem? If I re-lock BL and after repair with PCC , can I solve it?
Thanks

Thanks for your reply.
I took a look at the post: honestly I don't care to have custom ROM or BL unlocked. For now
stock rom is good for me. Since lollipop is coming, I'll try to relock BL and repair with PCC, hoping Sony will remove the restrictions. Otherwise I'll try the procedure that you have suggested.
i wanna ask some question to you guys please help me.

Hi
Welcome to Z2 family..
U can't do all if u are on a 5.0.2/5.1.1 base rom. So simply do this. Flash a kitkat FTF via flashtool. Then root it. Then install nut dual recovery. After that download TA backup tool from xperia cross development section. Backup ur TA ( Drm keys). Then u can unlock ur bootloader or u can flash any custom roms based on 5.1.1 or 5.0.2. Hope its helped

If you are on 5.0.2, then no need to install KitKat firmware. You may directly follow the instructions posted here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/general/root-lolipop-5-0-2-firmware-downgrage-t3153582
hi guys im new to rooting and xda
is it possible to backup the ta partition ( DRM keys ) without unlocking the boot-loader
because i don't wanna lose my drm keys
im using m4 aqua e2353 6.0.1 build: 26.3.A.0.131
i tried using ta backup but it needs root access
to root i need unlocked boot-loader
if i unlock the bootloader ill lose my warranty
so what is the solution for my problem ??
hwlp me out fellas............
Downgrade your firmware to lollipop and root it without unlocking bootloader (because it is possible on lollipop). Then do a backup and after you backed it up flash marshmallow firmware back and unlock it and root again.

You can't get them back anymore.
Hello
I own a Xperia z5 compact and i switch now to another phone... (xz premium) now i want to sell the xz5c so is it possible to lock bootloader with default ftf ?? without losing DRM keys issues ? or i lock bootloader with an custom kernel... but what happens if the new phone user want to update it ??
i dont want to sell crap so if there is no good option for end user i will notice it with custom kernel .... but i will lose money ....
sorry for my english ^^
You can relock the bootloader using flashtool but you cannot restore DRM keys unless you have a TA backup

No that would brick your device.
But: If you relock without DeviceKey probably no one will ever notice that various DRM features dont work any longer. I unlocked all my phones (most of them without DRM backup) and never noticed any problems.

when i flash my device to .33 i notice that the finger scanner doesnt reconice anything when i flash the kernel too evrything was working fine... idk if it was a phenomen but i cant sell a not full working phone -.-* money -.-*
i think best sultion is flash new ftf the kernel and sell it in that condition -.-* how much i would get for it ? screen and back have no scratches.... just the frame just some marks ... what would be acceptable ?
Wipe the phone and fully reflash it. The fingerprint sensor should work without drm keys.
Dont know how much you can ask for.

Not possible. Locked bootloader = 100% stock Sony signed firmware only.
Lack of DRM keys arguably doesn't matter that much once it's out of warranty, but some DRM features are noticeable, like low light noise reduction for the camera.
You should make this information clear when you sell.
