On my redmi note 3 pro everytime that I use the cellular data (3g) the battery starts draining super fast and even when the phone is in sleep.
In the battery stats play services drain more than the screen itself. How is this even possible?
Please somebody help me! Thanks in advance!
What rom/kernel are you using?
I'm actually using lineage os marshmallow with radon 3.7.5 cm mm version. But this verifies in almost every custom ROM but stock miui...

I flashed a rom called nexus experience which appears to be based on cm13 for my kenzo 3gb
Everything works flawlessy but the battery is terrible it barely make half a day with medium usage
I tried greenfy, turned everything to the lowest but no difference
Is that a bug with nexus experience or all cm13 roms are the same.
Can you advise me with the best way to get maximum battery time
Thanks in advance
I have this ROM Nexus Experience 10.4 and battery backup is great and I have tried many ROMs.
I also use amplify module for nlp (allow every 600sec)
I get like 10hours of SOT, but info in battery stats is not showing correct..

I am planning to use this phone as my main music player when I'm out and running. I Currently have a Moto G for this but the battery has started to die at 50% after 5 years of use. On the Moto G I always had it in airplane mode and so standby drain was about 0.2%. This was great as I only used it for maybe 1-2 hours every weekend, it was in standby all the other time.
So I was wondering what rom has the best standby battery drain for the Redmi Note 3X. Android version and features doesn't matter, all it has to do is to run Spotify.

Use any pie rom of kenzo. Its compatible for kate.
I get only 1% standaby drain on pie.
I get 7 hrs sot on AEX pie. I m not gamer.
Use AEX Nougat with AGNi, Greenify module & underclock the processor.
Don't flash Gapps & manually install Spotify from apkmirror.

I recently tried Pie Nitrogen, standby drain was 1%/h, so 10 hours was 10%! I used Pico gapps, greenify, gms doze, airplane mode, agni kernel etc. I might try AEX then, sound good. Nougat, Oreo or Pie?

Android pie is latest. So pie always.
Oreo had standby drain once. But pie fixed it.
Using Greenify , gms doze or any external batery saver app or tweaks is bad idea and always lead to conflict with internal optimize system.
Pie itself is optimized so no need.
And dont know why airplane mode. Dont u want to use it as phone for calls?
And dont use double tap to wake and pocket detection feature if u want good battery.

Latest isn't always the best, not that much active development for this phone anymore. There is even an unoffical version of the AEX Nougat with security updates.
I have a Oneplus 6 as my daily driver, this phone will only be used for spotify maybe 2 hours a week. It will not be used for anything else. Airplane mode should in theory give me better battery. Also looking for a feature that can turn the phone off and on, my Oneplus 6 has it amd it would be very useful for me on this phone!
I guess I will have to try them all and see.

Yeah, AEX nougat unofficial + AGNi 13.6 with all the battery saving stuff. Go ahead :highfive:
Basically any ROM is better with AGNI than without AGNI, it has a fix for idle drain (deep sleep google play services that eats the most battery when the phone is not used (read the installer and select what you want).)
Friends try this and never get disappointed

Hey guys, I'm looking for a rom that has the best possible battery life. Doesn't matter if it's slow or lacks some major features, even KitKat is fine. So what would be the best possible rom with just battery life in mind according to you?
I'm probably gonna go for dotOS. Is the battery life any good? Or is resurrection remix Oreo better?
Stock rom, based on MIUI 9 China rom. Idle drain overnight hardly 2-3 % for 3 year old Mi Pad. Only downside it's based on Kitkat.
But doesn't matter to me, as I use it for playing PUBG and watching YouTube and normal browsing.

Original KitKat Miui indeed has the best battery life and I would use it as well but you can't double tap to fast forward in Youtube with android 4.4 which is something I need...
Go for Lineage OS 14.1 by Artemka. Battery backup is good. Using it currently. LOS 15.1 has bad battery backup.

If the exact same ROM on the exact same phone gives so different results, it can only be 2 things:
Your battery is dying
One of your apps is eating your battery

I tried using my phone without installing any apps then too battery drain issue
for very first day i battery was working great next morning problem started
got any solution for your note 4 battery drain issue is it fixed?
I've got that problem in my note 4
I checked Gsam, and drain was caused by the kernal and android system about >90% in +/-10hrs with zero screen on time ">1hr max" and zero app activity, with wifi without sim
showing CPU util% is above 65% at 0.5-<1Ghz all the time, these gsam charts not much friendly
any suggestions??
Hey !
I have a problem with cell standby thing and it is sucking up battery like really fast. I don't know what is causing it, I'm using ROM - HN Gaming 11.0.7 and Kernel - Seshtation 7.1.
If someone knows a quick fix about it, please do help, cos it jumps up whenever I use Youtube or play some games. Even with WiFi the problem is same. Please help or tell some tricks on how you keep it low.
Sup bro. Search for corvus rom. Best ever. I use the 4.5 version.
Use better established ROMs like PE, LOS, crDroid, Evo X etc rather than some build by random dudes on the interwebs. I personally use crDroid and it delivers great battery life.
