Hi guys.! Well, there's a serious issue with my phone - it is running without recovery. Everything happened when I wanted to install a CWM recovery for updating a new ROM for my Micromax A54 Phone. I searched alot on "how to install CWM recovery on micromax" and also the ROM, and tried every step carefully. But, at the end, when I used Recovery Manager for installing the same, it rebooted the phone and gone! And even today, when I start RecoveryManager for purpose of fixing my phone's recovery, sometimes it restarts itself automatically and sometimes, if in case RecMan starts, it reboots while reflashing the Stock Recovery/CWM. I want to install a new ROM for my phone but for that, I need to have a recovery in my phone.
When I start phone into Recovery Mode, the Ninja logo gets stuck up there leaving phone in unstable state. All I have to do then is to restart my phone and try again! Till today, I have not found how to fix my phone and get a new ROM+CWM for it. Please help with this.
Thanks a lot!! :fingers-crossed:

After a long search for stock recovery for my Micromax A54, I found this thread. But link to the stock recovery is not working.
'says file not found'. Can you please provide a working link, also it would be greatfull if you explain flashing via fastboot method
Thank you.
im on stock root and i wanted to hopefully flash a rom, but first i needed a custom recovery. On my phone, i downloaded Rom manager and it asked me to install cwm. it found my device and it downloaded and said installed successfully. i rebooted into recovery and from there it loops and boots into recovery non stop. i remove the battery and put it back in and it still tries to boot into recovery with the loop. (Semi-fix) when i remove my battery and boot into download mode. i can cancel it and it will skip trying to boot into recovery and load just fine. i can then shut down or restart as needed. but booting back into recovery will start the issue over again. i just want to know a safe way to have cwm on my note 3, or how to revert it back to normal. any help please?

Pull battery let it sit for two minutes. Push menu button, volume down button, and power button at the same time boot into download mode. once there flash a fresh copy of your OS which ever version of KitKat your running. You lose all your personal data, but your beyond that now. Then here is link to my thread should answer all your questions http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/samsung-note-3-rom-flashin-basics-t2896440 enjoy !!!

Yeah ive said it a few times this should not be used
If youve bricked your phone you can get back into your phone by holding volume down menu botton and power botton at the same time when it pops up the warning screen to enter download mode hit cancel your phone will then boot up after your phone is on if you do not have a computer the way you fix the phone so you dont have to do this every time your phone is off you need mobile odin and a kitkat cwm.img.tar for our phone flash it and problem solved you can now boot into cwm recovery then if you want you can flash a twrp img zip through cwm or just keep cwm hope this helps
Ps if you Google mobile odin the dev gives it away on his xda mobile odin page

First, pull the battery for a minute then reinstall hold the power, menu, and volume down buttons at the same time and boot into download mode. The version of Phil'z CWM you flashed is to old for 4.4.4 NK4. Now download to your desktop the right Philz CWM recovery file (Phil'z_Touch_6.48.4-hlte.tar.md5 ) here is the link https://goo.im/devs/philz_touch/CWM_Advanced_Edition/hlte/ there are two listed use the second one. Flash with odin and you should be good to go. Go to my thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/samsung-note-3-rom-flashin-basics-t2896440 for more info.
done exactly as you said and the same screen came up saying recovery is not seandroid enforcing and then it jumps to Philz Touch 6 so im assuming everything is right now...i really appreciate the help! tyvm
different rom
ok..i installed cyanogen rom..i also used titanium backup..i want to go back to where i was but i dont see titanium backup on there anymore..how do i revert back?

Hi All,
I am new to the forum and new to rooting. I did loads of reading and thought that I would give rooting a go on my Sony Xperia Z Ultra. After rooting, and doing dual boot install I downloaded Dirty Unicorns 4.4.4 and Gapps. Booted into recovery and flashed the two zip files. After booting up the rom, it keeps crashing and giving a systemui fail / crash message. So I cannot do anything with the rom because the message comes up a second after I close it.
Not only that, there is now no custom recovery on my phone. Has anyone else been in this situation or can anyone please let me know what I can do to either flash a custom recovery?
I have also tried connecting my phone to the Flashtool to flash the stock rom, however as soon as I connect my phone to my pc it boots the system up and doesnt allow me to go into flash / fastboot mode.
Please help!
Thanks,
RJ

Thanks! Didnt know where to post.
Recovery should be included in the ROM (I've not flashed it though to test)
press the vol. up key just after booting when the LED turns purple should do the trick.
Do you want to load another custom ROM [1] or go back to Stock Sony [2]?
[1] Download custom ROM, flash boot.img in fastboot, flash ROM from recovery with wipes
[2] Download a FTF and flashtool (http://flashtool.net), flash FTF - fully clean Sony system again

Can you clarify what you mean by "doing dual boot install", are you referring to the multirom mod or something else.
Did you unlock your bootloader?
Because I see no mention of that and when I flashed scrubbers port of kitkat via twrp it bricked my ultra and I had to buy a new one.......

Hey how to unlock the bootloader in sony phones and after its unlocked how to go to fastboot mode..
I've installed the Kitkat firmware and installed root and dual recovery on my d6503 and it works fine. But as soon as I try to install the latest firmware pre-rooted and recovery, (my own AND others) It goes directly into boot and I no longer have recovery. I even tried booting into recovery right after pre-rooted firmware flash and still the same. One think I noticed is that after showing the Sony image, it flashes the led red for about 3 sec before booting.
Is there another button combo for entering recovery now, in LP firmware's?
I have a Z2 tablet and Z3C and I haven't had any problem with those.......
Any ideas guys?
I can think of a couple reasons, but my knowledge is very limited regarding these problems.
1- Wrong button combination. Try Vol. U and Vol. down buttons.
My phone boots into TWRP recovery when pressing vol. down, and CWM recovery pressing vol. up.
2- Recovery version doesn't support firmware. ( not sure whether recovery version does anything, but maybe )
Although I'm not sure, I think there is a compatibility issue between the recovery and the firmware you are using.
You could also try one of xPlayGunZ's firmwares.
Link to firmwares
They are all updated to lollipop, have dual recovery, and are pre-rooted. It's what I use.
That's all I can think of
thanks. Gonna give that link a try now. they ask you to re-flash some from the firmware. Maybe what I need
Guys I guess I had a brain fart! lol
I was looking at the recovery file on the http://nut.xperia-files.com as 2.8.20 as being lower than my already 2.8.6.0. After dl'ing this recovery file, everything worked number one.
I can't believe I didnt see that.....
Thanks again guys.
Hello guys I need help with my Xperia z2 D6543 I tried several ways to leave the bootload permanent but I can't.
I went back to version 5.1.1 I did the Root and put the Dual recovery more from this point I can not do anything anymore, I tried to update the TWRP to 3.0.2
more every time I install the .img the phone does not turn on anymore.
I was trying to install Oreo 8.1Custom more every time I install the system breaks and no longer turns on the phone.
People help you if you can help me, give me a light at the end of the tunnel ..
People sorry for my English.

The problem is that whenever I try to update twrp to 3.02 the device dies and does not turn on or in recovery mode it enters, with that I can not install any Custom Rom.
I install Stock rom 5.1.1 which I found, then I do Root, then I install Twrp 2.8.7, but when I install 3.0.2 the device dies ..
Why you don't install stock 6.0.1 with flashtool .
