All Amazfit Users,
Here comes the next custom App for Amazfit - Countdown Timer. I have tried to retain the Amazfit Stopwatch color scheme and theme.
Edit - The App is now working. :victory: With Notifications like inbuilt Alarm!! Download the updated App.
Notifications on time up is now implemented, giving the option to restart the timer or open the timer app.
Once you start the timer, click the button on your watch to return to Watch face or let the watch lome out (about 15 seconds)ut (about 15 seconds)
Known Issues:
When in the Timer App:
Do not click the watch button twice to lock the watch - This causes the notification to be shown only when you manually unlock the watch after the timer is up.
Do not swipe back when you are in the timer. This sometimes does not trigger the notification. Not sure why.
Instructions:
Download the APK from here: https://mega.nz/#!PRBRHajB!kBnQ9e2FJli45k2eUFFNLPAb8l8SRqscnQktpp-UjIY
Connect the watch to your computer via USB and access via ADB (install ADB Drivers as needed)
Open command prompt or shell
Type adb devices to check if your devices is listed
Uninstall any version (if you have installed it ) use adb uninstall com.madtechcorp.timer from your command prompt or shell
Type adb install Timer.apk to install the app to the watch (make sure to use the correct path to the APK, if not copied to ADB folder)
You should see the Success message after sometime
To uninstall type adb uninstall com.madtechcorp.timer from your command prompt or shell
In the watch, if you have not already enabled "Launcher App List", go to "More Settings" -> "About" -> Keep clicking legal information till you see countdown to zero. Once that is done, you will have the Lab link below. Click on Lab and select "Launcher AppList". This will restart your Launcher. Now go to the Right most app from your watch face, you will see the Launcher.
Scroll through and Click the Timer icon to launch the Timer
The default timer value is 5 Minutes. You can set custom timer values by clicking on the Timer value ( 1 Min to 23 hrs - 59 min). The watch will vibrate and show a notification when the timer is up.
Notes:
Launcher AppList may only be available in Chinese ROM. Not sure if it is available for US ROM Version. (If you are interested, there is thread by Neuer_User here https://forum.xda-developers.com/sho....php?t=3539431 that will allow you to install latest English Translated Chinese ROM on your watch.
Bug Fix
New version of the Timer app. Fixed an issue with no vibration during notification.
Now the notification will vibrate for 30 Secs and auto dismiss, closing the notification and the timer.

Nice work!
Im wandering if it would be possible to implement also stopwatch functionality there to your app (swiping up/down) and then to replace original stopwatch with your app?
no decryption key in this link
What is the decryption key ?

A new version has been updated and uploaded. Fixed an issue with remaining time displayed, when the app was opened again with an active timer running.
The link has been updated with key.

I don't see any value is creating something that already exists for the device. May be I can look at adding an action to goto inbuilt stop-watch from my App. But you can't comeback to Timer App from in-built stop watch.
could it be that the timer service somhow broke the alarm clock service? since i've installed the timer, the alarm doesn't work, i'll try to remove it and see if it affected in any way.

I don't seem to be having any issues with Alarm. I have multiple alarms throughout the day and all of them have been going off as expected. I tested an alarm with active timer and the alarm went off on the dot.
had to disable and re-enable the alarms, all started to work, don't think that it's app related.
Thanks again!
Thank you for the Timer! I use it a lot)
It would be really nice to have the app for viewing notes.
Something like Papyrus EX
Where notes exists as a directory with simple TXT files.
Ideally, all sync with folder on your phone =)
the timer apk is good, but you think it is possible added a round counter and rest counter for emom and tabata exercises?
Hi I got the US version watch and did some adb command to enable the launcher app list. Problem is why do I get "invalid apk file: timer.apk" evrytime I execute adb install timer.apk?
Does the watch need to be rooted to install the apk?

Of course:
1.) Install @Neuer_User's PACEfied ROM, it's based on the latest Chinese FW, and it's already rooted
2.) you can root your watch yourself
Yes, temporary root is sufficient. Enabling Launcher App List and installing AmazfitCNTimer.apk did work, right now, on 1.3.1US stock ROM.
Help! Trying to root but im stuck at fastboot logo on watch, everytime I enter "fastboot devices" on adb nothing is showing. Is there something wrong? How dobo proceed?

I've been testing apps for days and this is the one that worked best on my AMAZFIT PACE watch. It works quite well and with the method I present you can download maps from all over the world in the internal memory of the watch. It does not work with the clock wifi itself. It perfectly locates the location and you can access most of the options.
Sometimes you can not read the content well but we can help you from the same application on the phone. I briefly explain how I did it. More ahead I will go up explaining videos.
We will need to have a phone with Android.
First, we installed the app on the phone and in the watch (via apkinstaller). The application (apk) that I have installed is called "All-In-One Offline Maps + .ver.2.4.build.51" if you put it like that in google you will appear to download.
Then we open the app on your mobile phone:
• We go to the symbol of the map,
• Click on "save an area"
• Framing the part of the map that we want to save and the zoom that we want to obtain
• Press the save button
• This process will take a long time to download
• Once downloaded we will go to the root folder of the phone and copy the folder "OfflineMaps" and save it in our PC.
Once the folder is saved in our PC we replace it with the one in our amazfit . Now we will open the app on our amazfit and should see the downloaded area. It perfectly locates our location. To be able to know what you put in the options it is better to go browsing the app on the mobile at the same time.
Sorry i can put a link because i am a new user.

I am the only version I have tried. Under my experience with other apps in the amazfit, the older the actualization the less likely to fail. That is why I have stayed with version 2.4.
Anyway try to try it and tell us how you have gone. You can uninstall from apkinstaller
it work so far but I have a blank area at the bottom of the screen (same on the phone).
I could not remove it, do you know how to do so? you dont have it from what I have seen on youtube

Hello,
On my smartphone the saving of saved cards is on Android / data / net.psyberia.offlinemapsplus / files / cache / builtin-maps,
So if I understand I get the two files * .DAT and * .DX that I put in a folder "offlineMaps" on the PC, that I send to the watch Amazfit Pace, but how to send it in the watch? With the PC and the connected watch? But there is a specific file to put this folder map in the watch?
Thank you for your reply.

start adb shell on your PC and send:
adb push ./<pc-path>/filename.Dat /mnt/sdcard/storage/emulated/legacy/OfflineMaps/cache/builtin-maps
adb push ./<pc-path>/filename.IDX /mnt/sdcard/storage/emulated/legacy/OfflineMaps/cache/builtin-maps
Thus you get you files at least to your watch. I enabled on the Watch the option "Use Only local storage" in order to avoid network acceess issue.
But at the moment I do not get it why the APP is not finding the local files?
The APP on the watch indicates a different path to the workspace on the mobile for offline data:
watch pach: /storage/emulated/0/OfflineMaps/cache
with adb I do not get the access rights to create the /storage/emulated/ (read only) etc. dirctories and with the mounted path I am allowed to create everything but then itis not found by the watch app:
/mnt/sdcard/storage/emulated/0/OfflineMaps/cache
Still I have no clue how to solve this directory issue?:silly:
you can kill the package on the watch with an adb shell too:
am force-stop net.psyberia.*
Beside the APP is only working in a reasonable way with the Paid version. With the free version you get a blank column in the buttom which makes navigation impossible. The App itself can only be started on the watch and only be dismissed via adb shell -> am force-stop ....
or power shut down. Since it can be very CPU consuming I would assume that the resulting power drain is not funny. Currently I think it can only ne used as a sort of emergeny app I only will use if I am completly lost and the mobile is out of power too. Therefore you should think twice before you spend time and money on this.
I am using All-In-One Offline Map+ version 2.9

I finally got it and it works great! The "simple" solution is to install a file explorer on the watch itself. I found one online and it works great (com.alphainventor.filemanager.apk). The local file explorer (on the watch) 'sees' all the directories properly. You can therefore copy and paste the files from your PC on the "SD card" part of the watch (where you can see some directories and have read/write access). Then use the watche's file explorer to move those files/dirs (the maps) to the right folder on the watch. It will then work!
As an added bonus, once you copy files into those "unseen by Windows" directories (for example one of mine was "Android" and all its subdirs) it becomes visible in Windows Explorer! So next time you update maps on the PC you should be able to copy and paste over without requiring the use of the watche's file explorer.
I hope that helps.

Ok FileManager works but you can achieve the same with adb shell too.
Still I do not understand to which path the offline map files needs to be pushed that they get loaded. According to Settings->StrorageDevice I should know the right path but it is not working.
So where to push the files?
Now I got it. Of course the offline strorage path is different for each map type and can be seen with the details of the map.
I am using OSM Hike&Bike, it states in its details for offline storage /storage/emulated/0/OfflineMaps/cache/builtin-maps an therefore I pushed it to the followng path (means "/storage" is substituted by "/mnt/shell")
adb push ./<pc-path>/OSMCYC.DAT /mnt/shell/emulated/0/OfflineMaps/cache/builtin-maps
adb push ./<pc-path>/OSMCYC.IDX /mnt/shell/emulated/0/OfflineMaps/cache/builtin-maps
Beside I have installed a task manager thus I am able to kill the app. Thus it very much easier to restart the app when needed.

Glad you got it working. I am using the free version of Psyberia maps, as it is much lighter in resources. Of course you do get a white bar at the bottom of the screen (only on free version - paid shouldn't have it) but it is still very usable so....
I was able to make activate google assistant in my rooted android instance on Chromebook Pro. However, I get stuck on the screen "setting not supported". Any ideas? Assistant on this thing would be a game changer. I can't take a picture of the actual error box because google greys out screenshots when sensitive dialog boxes are being displayed. The warning is literally just "setting not supported" I'm guessing there is no assistant support at all in this version of android but maybe it's possible to add it?
can chromebook plus do that?
can you please post your method?
I had it!!!!
I was able to get Google Assistant working on my rooted Chromebook cb3 - 532 using Google app version 6.11.19.21 and the latest assistant app on the playstore.. However, no sooner than I updated, it was no longer working. I came up with another idea which I'm trying out now.... I'm attempting to alter two PROP files using the rooting shell scripts provided by Nolirium at blogspot for rooting chrome os to make the drive writable and set selinux to permissive, in order for my changes to build.prop and default.prop to survive the reboot, and be effective.

Hey!!!
Actually it is possible on all chromebooks in the canary channel. I’ve done it to my dell chromebook 11 candy model from 2015. Here is how you do it:
1. Be in developer mode (assuming you already are in it.)
If you aren’t in it and don’t know how to, press esc+refresh+power. When it boots up, press control+d and again when it boots up again. NOTE THIS DOES POWER WASH YOUR DEVICE!!!
2. Once you sign into your account again, press control+alt+t and a terminal will show.
3. Type in “shell” and hit enter.
4.Then type in “live_in_a_coal_mine” and press enter again.
5. Press “y”
6. when it is done, go to your settings and update your machine.
7. When it is done, go to chrome://flags and search for “assistant” and then enable it.
8. Then reboot.
9. When your device is done rebooting, go to chrome://assistant-optin and follow the instructions. 10. Then you have google assistant installed!!!
You can find it in the launcher. It’s the assistant button next to the search bar. If you set voice activation, you can also activate it by saying “ok google” or “hey google”
This procedure will allow you to configure you watch as an standalone device (no data syncing), and can be used when Bluetooth has died and you cannot pair it with your phone anymore. No requirements besides probably latest firmware installed (works without root or unlocked bootloader).
Disclaimer: this procedure was tested with a Pace running latest International firmware (2.8.1.0 as of now), but it should work with any watch running WOS2 ( = firmware 2.x.y), either Pace or Stratos.
BUT do NOT try to do this on an already paired watch as it removes the bound data and it is unclear that even if you pair the watch again that data will be synced correctly (i.e. saved correctly to your account in the cloud) in the future (unless you factory reset and pair again, of course).

When watch starts, connect it to your computer and make sure adb is working (all commands are all-in-one-line commands, meaning they should go in one line then you should press ENTER):
Code:
adb devices
Then select the language you want to use (available in latest firmwares), and it should show the QR code. Then use this adb command to configure your personal data:
Code:
adb shell am start -n com.huami.mobile.watchsettings/com.huami.moblie.watchsettings.actions.personal.InitPersonalInfoActivity
After that, use this to setup date and time (pick AM/PM to configure time, then save, you will be able to change to 24h format later if you prefer):
Code:
adb shell am start -n com.huami.mobile.watchsettings/com.huami.moblie.watchsettings.actions.timezone.InitSettingTimeZoneClockActivity
After you save time it should ask you "wear habit" (if you use the watch on the right or left arm), and that's it, you can use your watch normally and even go to Settings to configure time and date later if needed.
Additional tips and curiosities:
1. If you scroll in any direction and hold it, you should see a count down toast, at the end it will launch the device test app;
2. If you tap and hold when the QR code is being shown, you will be prompted to run some tests and the logs are saved in watch's internal memory folder "system";
3. For some reason (probably because you cannot enter text as the watch isn't paired), after you do this procedure you are not able to access the WiFi connection menu;
4. If you start the date/time activity and save, it will "unbind" the watch, to get out without saving press the watch's hardware button to go back to watchface.
Enjoy your dead watch again.

Hello guys!
I think the touchscreen of my amazfit pace is broken. I've tried to unbrick it many times, flashed many different roms and even some custom recoverys; but the touch is just not working.
Is there a way to delete / deactivate all functions like wifi, bluetooth etc. and some "apps" in order to just use it as a watch and extend the battery life? When it is coupled with the phone, it stills shows notifications etc, which is very annoying...
Hope you can help!
Thank you!
hi there
im not sure if its works but you just try it our since your watch already left no option
- search in the forum here to download 'android sdk''
- connect watch to computer (with installed android sdk)
- open power shell or command prompt (cmd) and go to location where you extract the file eg c:\sdk
- type "adb shell pm list packages" and you get a list of all installed packages
- type "adb uninstall "package-name" to uninstall ---> replace this "package-name" with the shown exact package name
- the package name seem much self explainable but un-install at your own risk and may result your watch total gone RIP.

Hello,
I've debloated a Samsung SM-A320FL for work, so I though I should share my method with you.
It needs no special knowlegde, no root so you won't loose any warranty or so.
1 - First of all, you need to install ADB on your PC (You can find how to do it here).
2 - Then activate developper options on the phone. Go to:
Parameters/about phone/software informations
and tap 7 times on "build version"
3 - Still on the phone, go back to parameters and to "developper options". Activate "USB debogging mode"
4 - Plug the phone to the PC and athorize the connection
5 - Launch the adb console as administrator and type "adb shell"
6 - Paste the content of the file linked to this post and press enter
Your A3 has now only those apps:
- My files
- Play Store
- Phone
- Messages
- Camera
- Gallery
- Clock
- Contacts
- Parameters
- Calculator
Off course you can now desactivate "USB debogging mode" and "developper mode", so your phone seem to be factory done like that by Samsung.

Best regards.

For some reason, the disable-user command lets you disable basically any application you want while the regular disable command is quite limited.
Hi
do you still have voLTE once all these stuffs are gone ?
Thanks a lot for this debloater !
(edit : it's ok, I still have voWIFI & voLTE after debloating)
so does this still work on the latest firmware? Is it really safe?
Thanks, saved my device from the ever overloaded internal memory. As it's for personal use I kept (or rather reinstalled) email, calendar, photoretouching, smartmirroring, google drive (aka .docs) and google maps (some may want to keep videos and youtube too).
I only have one issue so far:
gallery app crashes when i want to check image details and under albums it only shows me camera roll, but none from other folders.
despite reinstalling smartmirroring, the screen-mirroring icon disappeared from the slide-down menu [stupid me had installed mirrorlink instead of smartmirroring]
It would be great, if someone could tell what dependencies the gallery app has to access file info and to create these folder albums. So i can reinstall the needed stuff. My phone feels so much snappier now and i certainly won't go back to reinstall all of them just to get that Samsung gallery and screen mirroring to work properly. Thanks again to the OP.

so does this still work on the latest firmware? Is it really safe?

yes, did it yesterday on a completely updated phone. It just didn't remove samsung pay and linkedin bloatware on my device - not a big issue.
Anybody using Android Auto after debloating? Issues?
Thanks
