Hey guys,
I somehow managed to display the CPU governor stats during a fever dream. I don't know how I did this and would like to deactivate it again since it simply annoys me. It's a green font showing the CPU's temperature and the voltage of the cores. Where in the settings lies the switch? (I can't make a screenshot of it since the numbers are displayed over the UI).
Thanks!

When I get a call, my Eris 'lags' or is really slow to pull up the 'caller id/answer' screen...aka-my phone starts ringing and they screen doesn't show anything until it has rung 2-4 times. At that point, I have only one or two rings to answer it until it goes to VM. I can answer with the hard button just fine, but can't see who it is calling when I do that...I am in marketing and it's VERY important for me to see who is calling before I answer.

EPST settings have not changed since I rooted (the day root was discovered)
PRL is known good and has produced no issues until Froyo...
The first place to look is your setCPU profiles and settings. What are they?
710/122 on demand
Charge:
528/122
Failsafe:
480/122
That is it.
Have you tried bumping up your bottom line speed to like 250mhz?

Priority values would be useful, but then again your low values don't seem that bad.
You are not using the SetCPU widget on one of your homescreens, are you? (A number of people have reported that causing problems, whereas just using setCPU with profiles and no widget use, things were fine).
I'm downclocking to 19 Mhz in KFV31, but I am using some of the setCPU advanced tweaks, and I probably also get fewer calls than you. (So far, no sluggish behavior on inbound calls when the phone is sleeping).

I'm having the same problem but I do have the setcpu widget running. I'm going to remove it and see if that helps.

I will disable the widget and see if that helps. Thanks!
My lag got better when I turned launcher rotation off.
Wife has rotation turned off period, and there is no lag to speak of.

ADW rotation was already off...I actually don't like rotation. It always flips when I don't want it to.
I turned up my MIN cpu speed and that made the phone wake from sleep a little quicker, but the call issue is still there. I am thinking it has something to do with the actual dialer .apk used. I think it's Dialer One?

I'm not using the same rom, but i've had the same problem before. In setcpu, try these settings:
Max:748, min:604 - userspace
Screen off max: 604, min: 604 - performance

The DEV doesn't even recommend using the "userspace" setting. And 604 as a minimum? Wow.

Hi all.
Is there any possibility to software disable proximity sensor? Apps like "DHD Proximity Recalibrator" and "Proximity Sensor" does not work on P500. General goal to disable screenoff during conversations without using loudspeaker. Thank you.
any reasons ?
hey may i ask why you would want to do that ??proximity sensor during calls is very usefull !! makes the screen go off so that you dont accidently touch anything which you are bound to if you touch the screes wth ur cheeks or anything ! any as soon as u take the screen away from the ear it lights up ! whats the problem exactly ??
I need maximum CPU availability during calls. I guess when screen goes off some kernel governor or cpu profile setting tricks lower available cpu frequency. While experimenting with total recorder we found normal operation only when screen is always on. Right now i have just a band sticked on the sensor placeholder and all works great.
You can use Tasker app to do that but its not free.

gsm.proximity.enable=false
you can include this in your build.prop file, locate in /system and reboot.
this never turn off screnn during calls..
but i think only run in froyo
ragards
Well, this is good advices. But in my case it doesn't work. I have froyo 2.2.2 @francokernel.v11
/system/lib/hw/sensors.thunderg.so have /dev/ami304hal device encoded to disable it like in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/archive/index.php/t-764368.html (nrvate post)
Thank you anyway guys! Topic closed.

Follow the easy way set a profile in SetCPu that when screen off it switched to higher frequencies !!Say 600/480Mhz
This is not solution because in standby mode setcpu will dry battery.

Well, no it will not drain battery. Overall, I am getting alergic of this "battery drain" obsession. There are really crappy apps that drain battery, certainly not SetCPU.

Sucks to be you. This is just nonsense, reflash your system.
Hi guys!
I've noticed recently a new power save get option in the power saving menu in settings called 'system power saving'.
I've never seen much point in using the specific power saving mode that you can set to kick in at x% because it doesn't seem to do anything I can't and don't do manually myself.
Does anyone know anything about this new setting? Turning it on i've noticed screen transitions are a little less smooth, but does this actually do anything useful?
Any ideas?
Many thanks!

I would be interested in finding out what this does as well.
I noticed that frame rates seemed lower in games, and the responsiveness is a little slower (not considerably, though).
Is there a list of what it actually does?
I've notice that my phone uses less battery in this mode that without it.

Well, I would hope so...
I do know that it does NOT disable background data (I still receive push emails with both Exchange and Gmail)
Camera and Auto-flash are still enabled.
Everything that typically gets turned off in order to save battery is still on as far as I can tell...
We know it saves battery... but how?
If we find out how, then our developers could probably leverage that information when making new ROMs.
I would just like to know if anything is being disabled that I don't want disabled... but I don't know what I don't know
It lowers the CPU clock frequency, in my SGSII, scrolling desktops is not smooth at all with this option ON I've never been patient enough to test this option for a long time
when i activate powersaving it doesnt seem to make a difference

Seriously?
I have mine overclocked to 1.6 GHz and the conservative governor and I have not noticed the time-in-state data to be changing from what it was without this option set.
You were right about the clock speed.
system power save does the following:
Restricts core speed (mine was capped at 800)
Lowers brightness
Changes UI frame rate
Warning: Created with Swype
It appears with the latest update to TempMonitor, it's now picking up the CPU temps. Anyone rooted and using the app, make sure you have the CPU options checked in the settings. The notification bar numbers are bolder too, easier to see.
I do not know if anyone has had this problem, but when the screen turn on
automatically when raising my arm ,, the clock display like in standby mode,,and it
completely display until I touch the screen.
it is very annoying .
if anyone has an idea it would be really welcome.
thank you.
That's just the way it is. Battery saver

What do you mean by samsung original design ??? My gear is original designed and my phone too
the clock display on first screen does not show anything (no battery level, no notification counter , no steps , no date ). like in the screen shot !!!
Until i touch the screen
Original is for me the design installed when you buy the watch not the one you add
And that's the way it 's,,no adds,,just original design
It is when you select "Display" "Activate" : Clock or Last Screen in setup.
When it is Clock you have a dimmed clock when activate, otherwise with Last Screen you have Color ****.
