This is the ROM I am running on my OP3(latest version). http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/rom-purecm-t3428533?nocache=1
Everything works great except for some odd reason there is no setting for me to set my fingerprint to unlock the phone - there is no mention of fingerprint scanning at all in the settings.
This is weird because it is clear from the change log of the ROM in the link above that in fact this ROM does support fingerprint scan unlock. And nobody else in the thread seems to be having this problem... What can cause this to happen?
Another rom, I found that we can use:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gr...7-1-1-ground-zero-roms-validus-tesla-t3590277
In the last Downloads, the one says Get Validus 8.1 here, that can we use.
I haven't found any bugs, so far.
Wow...
It was hidden, hard to find.
Will there be an official version? This is RC.
Only validus is compatible with x722 ?.

Follow them at their official thread, but it is good as official by now, in my opinion.

I haven't found any bugs. I used it in two days, everything works great, except one.... When I receive phone call for first time, it was on loudspeaker, but the rest works fine.
Calling or I never used VoLTE (voice over lte) nor need it, cuz' it has good call quality.
Loudspeaker talking on high volume distorts the sound, so it is not recommend to use it on meetings or driving.
When I plugged the audio adapter, it used to start music app, but it can be disabled by Settings, WolvesDen, on the tap called Multi-tasking, Headset, Launch music app on headset connection.
Where to turn off ambient light and wake? This feature does crash launcher 3. On Aicp 13.1 also crash trebuchet. After disabling ambient light for Aicp is good.

In Settings, Display, Advanced, Ambient display or Settings, WolvesDen, Lights, Notifications light. I never had that problem when I receive text or app notifications. Was it specific app that crashed launchers or every notifications?
In the morning there is no led, only Aquamail notifications are on the phone. After waking up the fingerprint launcher3 does not respond. I do not want to turn off the screen saver when notifications but only ambient light. Notifications on a black background.

Fingerprint was reported unresponsive at original thread, same as other Oreo roms, if I remember correctly...
It called Ambient light, the notification on black background, so disable it will stop show the new messages or notifications, only led will remain.
In Settings, Apps & notifications you can change settings which apps to show or hide notifications, it might be disabled by default.
So as all you may know, most of the new custom ROMs come with fingerprint navigation gestures, which sometimes don't make sense because the soft keys are already enabled.
Sometimes this is annoying because we touch the fingerprint sensor accidentally, or want to set up another gestures, like turning screen off by long-pressing the sensor.
I noticed this annoying thing on LineageOS, Pixel Experience, AOKP and RessurectionRemix.
So how can we set another gestures? If it's by generic.kl (which i tried unsuccesfully), what do we have to do?
Is there an app that can control it?
Thank you all

Hello, how did u menage to activate led notification for missed call or sms?
mine only works with viber...
ty in advance
anyone ?
go to "Settings", try to find "Notification", in result it is "Application and Notification->Notification", 3rd row is switch for LED
actually, i do not have that option
Settings>>apps & notifications>>notifications
I did that and still no led notification, only on viber it works :|
Any update on this? Does it work for everybody/somebody/no one? I tried SMS and Gmail notifications - Ambient display turns on, but LED stays off. It seems that the only time when it's glowing is during charging.
led notification works for Instagram, WhatsApp, telegram
Not working for "missed calls".

I'm on global rom v10.3.6
The notification led works perfectly for sms, missed calls etc.
I had to activate it from settings though.

Yesterday I noticed the LED, but it was only for gmail. SMS messages still nothing. The phone is on the lastest 100% stock EU ROM. Reading topics on MI forum, more people are having the same issue. If I remember correctly, Mi A1 had initially similar problems, but it got fixed after few updates. I guess it's just Xiaomi thing.. When I get another phone for myself, I'll try to check it in more details with root.

My version global eu rom is v10.3.8 and LED notifications is blind for missed calles and sms.
How to assign a color to each notation?
Sapper Morton said:
Not possible, the notification LED in Mi A3 is monochromatic.

So one notable change Google added to Januarys update was enabling haptic feedback when using the fingerprint scanner. I really don't care for that feature and it's something I have turned off when I buy a new device but there isn't a way to completely disable it now.
Anyone else annoyed by this? Is there any way to completely turn this feature off whenever I scan my fingerprints?
As far as I can remember there has always been a haptic feedback when using the fingerprint scanner. This isn't new to the January update.

Yeah, there was also haptic feedback when using the fingerprint scanner on the November update. Though, it doesn't happen when the device is in battery saver, as all haptic feedback is disabled.

Can't you disable haptic feedback in sound or accessibility settings? I don't currently have my Pixel 6 to check, but could update this comment later if needed.
I also had haptic feedback on the fingerprint reader even with the november update. It does not bother me so i did not look for a way to disable it.
I don't think that's new... Pretty sure it's always had haptic feedback for the fp sensor

That's so weird because haptic feedback was never enabled when using the fp reader until now.

I have my device on Power Saving mode all the time with haptic feedback disabled in both the Sound and Accessibility Settings, and despite all that I can't turn it off.
Ah, so you are mean haptic feedback is still on even when Battery Saver mode is on?
I can't comment on any change since Jan update as I don't use Battery Saver so I don't know what it was like before.
If I turn off haptics entirely in settings I still get a single pulse when unlocking the device (rather than two, one says I triggered the scanner, 2nd says it unlocked) . This is the same if I toggle Battery Saver on too.
If that is a change maybe it is for accessibility reasons. To ensure visually impaired people know they are trying to unlock in the correct location. Or maybe it's a bug? who knows.
