Is it possible that during the call a greeting message is played to the caller like: "Welcome, Please wait while the call is picked" ? Is there any Android app that can do this functionality? How do I search for this feature on Android? Is there any name for this feature of playing a greeting message to caller?
First of all, you can not do this without picking up the call from your phone.. If you want this feature, then check whether your operator provides any hello tune or similar services like this..
Someone I know is having an issue with someone calling/harassing her and using a Caller ID Faker app so she doesn't know the number its coming from, or setting it to a number of her co-workers or someone important that she should answer. Is there an app, or away to block someone from using something like this to contact her? Is there something that will force her phone to show the correct incoming number? Or a way for her to block calls that are being used from one of these Caller ID Faker apps. I'm thinking that since the the change in the incoming number is happening from the outgoing phone call that there isn't a way. But there are a lot of ppl here that are smarter then me on this topic so I'm hoping for some help.

Hi, it is nice to have the caller name instead of just the phone number. But this requires to have the caller name inside your Android contact list.
Is there a way (app or hack) to have the caller name without having to add it in your Android contact list?
Use case: I am an employee inside a 120 employee company and I would like to get the name of the caller for each employee, but I do not want to have them into my Android contact list, as I only work with some of them and have also friend&family so I do not want my address book to become unreadable because of these 120 employee contacts.

Actually, my wife just experienced this. She contacted the Disney help desk and got her business taken care of. After that a friend asked us for the number. She went to find it in recent calls and passed by it because their number was listed as "Dumbo the Flying Elephant"
I can't tell you how they did it, but it's certainly possible.
I think your experience with Disney is due to a public caller name. I don't want a public caller name, I just would like a secondary contact address book only used for phone caller naming.
As I have too many records with same name in my phonebook, I had to classify my records according to organization names.
I am not able to see the organization name on calling screen, that is why I tried to use some 3rd party apk (drupe, smart notify etc.), but I am dissatisfied.
Is there any way to edit the orginial contact apk (or to replace another apk) in order to see the organization name on incoming call.
