Flashtool 'Can't read a byte value' error - Xperia Z5 Compact Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello guys,
I have been stuck with the following error message below in Flashtool for the last 2 days, trying to install the 5.11 firmware on my E5823.
Weird part is, that it worked once, when I was just moving files around in the firmware folder and reinstalling Flashtool...
07/013/2015 17:13:00 - INFO - Start Flashing
07/013/2015 17:13:00 - INFO - Ending flash session
07/013/2015 17:13:00 - ERROR - Can't read a byte value
07/013/2015 17:13:00 - ERROR - Error flashing. Aborted
07/013/2015 17:13:00 - INFO - Device connected in flash mode
07/013/2015 17:13:01 - INFO - Device disconnected

I tried all tips I found on other treads/forums, but nothing seems to work...
- Restart Flashtool
- Reinstall Flashtool
- Move *.tft files out of firmware folder, remove firmware folder, restart Flashtool, shutdown Flashtool, move files back (this worked only once before!!!)
- Download new firmwares
Getting desperate here, as Im completely stuck now...

2 - Test flashmode by connecting to the computer (ensure that the light remains green) until you disconnect

Flashtool stuck

Howdy
I have a Z5 Compact, and I'm trying to flash a stock rom using flashtool. Unfortunately, I'm getting a message saying "Reading device information" and it just stays there, and nothing else happens.
All drivers installed correctly from most recent flashtool. ADB drivers are installed too. I literally cant think of anything else? Phone in flash mode correctly, I select wipe: SSD, APPS_LOG, DIAG, USERDATA and click flash and get absolutely nothing after Reading device information.

I see where it said phone connected but never where it said disconnected. Something is fishy with your data cable, the usbport,or your sequence. I'd try a reboot, new cable, new port, and don't enter flash mode until it asks you.
Whenever I had a failure with flash tool I always had to hard reset my computer because something would vet stuck, I also found out kneof my USB ports was for charging and not data. It's worth a shot to investigate more.
Just deleting an old thread, sorry!

Please help me

Me device is very full and as usual from time to time I give a full wipe and then reinstall the rom by flashtool (E2363_26.3.B.0.131_R2C_India Generic_1295-2357.ftf), this time I came across something unexpected, tale With TWRP recovery currently running on the device only it, when I try to install the rom I run into these errors in flashtool

Please i think i hard brick my cell :/ help!!
Try reflashing again. If you can enter flashmode it is unlikely that you hardbricked it. Hardbrick = mostly nothing is working (ie leds, vibration etc..)

Solution: Flashtool 0.9.23.2 doesn't contain flash script for F5122 Model, go to \.flashTool\devices\F51XX make a copy of F5121_34.2.A.0.266.fsc and rename it to F5121_34.2.A.0.333.fsc and you will be able flash the ftf with some warnigs
you dont have a flash script for that firmware. You need to re-download the firmware with xperifirm(within flashtool) when it's done downloading and when you exit xperifirm flashtool will build a ftf for flashing, it will promt you with a question if you want to add a flash script.

P.S. good to see someone from Weert
I cleaned the /download and *.ftf files in flash tools folder. The I downloaded the firmware using flashtools>xperiafirm>firmware download> firmware build.
It didn't prompt me for flash script. it builder the firmware and it try to flash it and the same error as the above popped.
can anyone share the flash script so I can integrate or copy it to flashtool's scripts folder?

I'm trying to downgrade to MM from N in order to perform the dirtycow DRM exploit so as to be able to install PoisonRom (Android Nougat). This is all just to have roon on N, by the way... Anyways, the problem is, after solving the scripts issue, now I'm stuck at "Reading Device Information". This is the log:

Any ideas?
I have same problem so my solution is changing the driver to android adb before flash room, I also backuped DRM with dirtycow after flash taiwan rom.
