Hello everyone,
I’ve running resurrection remix for the last few months and it is running almost flawlessly except for one thing: my cell phone can’t be seen or find other deviced. I think it is probably related to the weird BT MAC address issue. I’ve read some guide - some say it is needed to restore the efs partition, others have a very complicated method to restore it.. Anyway, what’s the definitive guide to fix this issue ?
It's fixed in Lineage OS so that's an option for you.
14.1?

I can't connect to the internet either :/ But i think mine is a driver not supported issue
P.s. I know this is unrelated but is there ever going to be a higher release than marshmallow? When is the latest Android 8 Oreo going to be supported? (Even in beta's/canary builds which I also can't find to see if that fixes my internet problem - can't update)

Hi,
since one of the last nightlys my Honor 5x i cant connected to my accesspoint channel 13 anymore.
I didnt realize at first because it connected automatically to my second AP (other wifi channel).
Any chance to connect to channel 13 using LineageOS 14.1?
regards
Unfortunately, this is a known bug, but somehow no one will be able to fix it.
Probably all ROMs are based on the same software that has a bug.
In addition, most developers behave and are treated like sacred cows and are not interested in reported bugs, because they are created for higher purposes
I tried different ROMs, but only the original works correctly.

In old nightlies it was working??
Hi. was quite sure it was working in the first nightlies i used, but i read in other forums now, that it is a General Problem within lineageos and honor 5x. Maybe i was just connected to my other AP on a lower channel and didn't realize the Problem before.

Did you try other ROMs??
No, i wanted to have original / pure lineageos.
I use to use my honor 5x l22 on RR (5.8.5).
Lately after a member in the forum said CM13 has better performance& battery backup, i flashed CM13 expecting lot.
It seems now i want to get back to RR.
But when i wiped and flashed RR, TWRP got stuck on ""PATCHING SYSTEM IMAGE UNCONDITIONALLY"
I restored the backup i earlier had on EMUI (B 320).
Now i tried again the same problem persists.
I searched here as well googled. But i could understand nothing (It was something related storage format issue f2fs or something lke that).
Edit (Update) : I flashed Flyme 6 which works on Android 6. So Marshmallow ROMs work good. Problem is with Nougat ROMs
Can someone kindly help me with this in a nooby way?
I would be grateful.

You may need to update TWRP, I know sometimes you require new version for Nougat on some phones

I had a similar problem so I went ahead and flashed the newer Twrp updating mine from v3.0.00, then my problems started. I ended up reflashing back to it after the update screwed my phone. I run nougat roms on ,3.0.00 no problem guess I will leave well enough alone on my L24.
Hello, I have a redmi note 4X, i tried a bunch of oreo ROMs (both 8.0 and 8.1) and they all seem to have issue connecting to hidden wifis.
Does anyone else notice this problem? Is there a fix to it?
Thanks in advance.

This issue is in all the roms, hopefully the devs are working on it. It has already been pointed out by a lot of members

Thanks buddy, i guess i will stick with 7.1 longer.
Actually it's working on cardinal os 8.1 stock kernel
Hello everyone;
Is the problem in OP still exist in 8.1 ROMs?
Sorry for asking the same question, but given the time, i guess it should be solved by now.
I had my t-mobile Samsung galaxy note 4 on stock 6.0.1 marshmallow ROM and then I flashed the official resurrection remix Oreo 8.1 ROM for trlte. After doing that, I found that WiFi direct had stopped working and also game audio started lagging, distorting and echoing.
Please tell me why this is happening and if anybody knows the fix for it, Please help me out. Thank you.
Don't Worry.

You seem to be familiar with the concept of flashing and incase Knowing the Threats so,I assume you have a Backup of previous ROM.Ressurection Remix has Stable ROMs for Other that AT&T and T-Mobile Devices due to the SoC.They are Very Unstable Builds and Don't Work. The Problem to all Wifi Related devices is a Binary File called bcm_dhd.bin or Others that need to be Compiled or replaced from Other Versions which Sometimes don't Work.
Firstly Inform The Devolpers of the ROM about this and Post it on their Form.Don't be a N00B and attach a Debug report.
Secondly Restore the previous version.Gain root access and Look for a Few files in System/Etc/Wifi named .bin at end copy them all and Paste them on the 8.1 ROM with same folder location and Permissions.Hopefuly This solves the Issue But if it don't then revert. And Next Time if you can't cope with a Few Bugs then don't flash a Custom ROM.8.1 is still Unstable and is Recieving Updates People are Working hard and in Time we will have a Rock Stable Setup.Happy Flashing.
