As MIUI is closed source, its not possible to build it from source..The changes are less..
And Moto E resently got a bit stable CM by percy_g2. And now the real development starts!
Now there will be ROMs for Moto E too.. Right now only CM11 by percy_g2 is stable, Carbon will be available shortly after fixing bugs...:good:
hello moderators! is any one working on miui for moto e currently? if not, please can some one make/port miui ROM to moto e? come on developers there are many moto e users and almost every one among them would love to have miui on their device..

we already have miui v5 although it is based on 4.4.4 and not that stable
