Any way to get Volte+Goodix working??? - Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 Questions & Answers

Hi,
First off,i didn't know which fp i have.I searched internet for the possible ways to know that.I first checked AIDA64 app,it showed my fp sensor as fpc102x ...next i somewhere read that if i am able to take pictures from fp,then its fpc...i am infact able to take pics....then somewhere someone suggested to go in root directories in system and check some files for goodix,I didn't find any.I was convinced i had fpc...untill my fp didnt work on any ROM.
It did work on nitrogen OS,which made me believe it could be goodix. So i searched for methods to make it work on rr or lineage. One method that worked was Beanstalk boot.img + patch. But it broke Volte.
I have failed to search for any solution to fix this.I would be very happy if someone knows a workaround or solution.Volte is crucial to me.If no such method hasn been found, where can we seek help? By reading comments,i guess there are more people like me out there.
Thanks!

[Q] gps not working on cyanaosp 2.7.0?

hi
i have this rom : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2462906
ver 2.7.0
with fluid kernel
gps is not working...is there something i can do to make it work?
also, what is DS?
Hey, I can't say that I've had any GPS problems since I don't even use that function, but I believe at one point sada23 had a gps fix for 4.4.2 roms available. You can private message him and see if he still has it. If that doesn't work/he doesn't contact you, I would suggest flashing a different kernel and seeing if it works.

No prob. You could also try copying the gps files from the /system/etc directory on his CM11 build into the CyanAOSP build with the same format. Might work if you want a quicker fix.
Also, remember to make a nandroid and wipe before flashing. A reflash would also do you some good if you are still having issues. I've actually built a working version of Dirty Unicorns 5.0 for the Vibrant, but I can't post it because I don't have the post requirements yet. From my test builds, it flies!

Don't know, I haven't been able to test it. You can flash it right now. It's Dirty Unicorns v5.0 in the dev forums. See if it works any better.

Unlock and flash cm13 questions.

Hey everyone,
Got permission to unlock bootloader few days back, but cant unlock due to error at 50%(account different or something like that). According to some users i should wait a few days to try it again. (Already tried i.mi.com trick with no luck)
Next, i want to flash latest snapshot of cm13 official, but apparently certain fp sensors(goodix) doesnt work there. And i saw there is Santosh unofficial cm13 build with goodix fix. So how do i found out which sensor i have? So i can flash a cm13 build which is sure to work. Also,is it true led notification has no breathing in cm13?
Thx and have a nice day....i for sure am having bad day everyday using miui..

[F3212/F3216][KERNEL][STOCK] Stock kernels built from sources

Hi,
I will release here my updated "boot.img" files for the Xperia XA Ultra Dual Sim.
You must have an unlocked bootloader to flash with Fastboot.
You don't need to be on the same firmware as the boot image that you want to flash.
You have to flash SuperSu again from TWRP just after flashed new boot to avoid bootloop.
All boot images have "ro.secure=0" and "ro.debuggable=1" in default.prop file
and "forcencrypt" of internal memory switched to "encryptable" in fstab.mt6755 file.
The Fastboot command is:
fastboot flash boot NAMEOFIMAGE.img

Hi, it's not a Rom just a boot.img for unlocked bootloaders with stock kernel built from Sony open source archive.
36.2.B.2.109 boot should fix the front camera not focusing after root.
After testing I found out that the boot does have problems
Which are:
1-Screen doesn't turn off completely, it stays at a very dark state which can be noticed in extreme low light conditions and if u turn the screen back on u will notice a a static on the screen and then it functions normally.
2-system brightness level meter doesn't work but third party apps can be used to change that.
Hope that helps and u come with even better boot in the future and thank u in advance.

Hi, thank you for the feedback. I don't have any unlocked Ultra (only have a unlocked XA F3112) so I can't test new releases or try to debug anything. I don't make any changes to the kernel source code, only build the kernel and repack it in a stock ramdisk with very small changes for root, nothing more. I hope that an user will be able to fix bugs.

Yes it's the new boot who fix the front camera bug mentioned in my PM, as you can see in the comments it fix this bug but make an other bug You can flash it if your device is a dual sim. If you try it please say us if you have the same new bug.

For those who are struggling with the front facing camera, I finally solved it without installing any kernel or modify anything from the system. Downgrade to 36.0.A.1.111 (should be the one one with service unit exchange or smth like that). Had installed gapps stock (but I suggest u don't delete the Sony camera app - Instagram and Snapchat work perfectly fine) + xposed + adoptable storage.
As a final mention my devie is F3211

Here's step by step what I did, I hope it will work for your device too:
1. Go to xperifirm and download the 36.0.A.1.111 firmware (service unit exchange)
2. Create a bundle on the flashtool within the firmware folder
3. Flash it
4. Happy rooting!
There is however something I have to mention about this fw: you'll probably not receive any system updates
IF U ARE A SNAPCHAT USER install Snapchat before messing the system up with xposed

Since you've mentioned snapchat allow me to ask. I'm on stock and I've just received the 36.0.B.2.109 update (hings are kinda slow in Egypt).
But no matter how many updates I get, snapchat quality is terrible on the front facing shooter. It's only good when it's really sunny. Other than that it's extremely dark to the point that sometimes you can't even recognize faces ! Have you ever run into that ? If yes or no what do you recommend ?

I had one bug with snapchat on the same firmware you are using but it was more app related rather than a camera quality issue. every time I opened sc the image would tend to get darker (not to mention the app itself was kinda slow) and the only fix I could find is moving the app back to internal storage (but again, this was an app bug). the only thing i can tell you is experimenting with other fws until you find one that could fix your issue, otherwise sorry but i have no idea.

I've had this issue on all firmwares up until the one i mentioned. And yeah i didn't even use my external usage yet, so it seems that im having a different issues although we both got dark images. I would try different firmwares but I dont know what sony did to make the battery much better on the recent firmware. I'll try messing around till I find the culprit.
Thanks.

Hi !
I've tested that because I really like root and it's works for me, but I have one problem with snapchat, when I try to connect I get this message :
I don't have xposed on this phone, just the root, and if I delete the root, it's the same problem.
Have you a solution for that ?
Thank you !

By deleting root, I assume you tried to delete the root app not root access itself.
You have to go back to stock rom, install snapchat, log in, root your phone and never log out.

Need OOS Camera zip for cm13

Hi XDAians,
I need OOS Camera zip for cm 13. I have one camera zip but manual mode is not working on cm 13.
Either manual mode never worked on cm 13 (Correct me if i am wrong) or i have some other zip.
If somebody have oos camera zip with functional manual mode which would work on CM 13, please pass on link or something.
Thanks for help.
Just Search.
And CM13 is such an old stuff, I'm not sure you find the good one.
Be carefull flashing because I bet you don't have the new bootloader, right?

Sorry Dude i am gonna harsh on you.
Firstly I have last updated MM bootloader and i know CM13 is old stuff, So don't unnecessary bother for me.
Secondly I asked for two things. One is if you have oos camera zip and asked to please pass on. Another is i asked if manual mode never worked on cm 13.
So your reply doesn't help at all.
At the end I have suggestion for you, Don't make unnecessary posts or reply which are not worth.
Thanks
For nougat and Oreo roms, Op5camera port for Bacon is the best option.
Not sure but CM 13 might be compatible.

Help needed for GPS issue

I'm on LOS 14.1, and I'm needing a little help here.
I'm interested in getting gps.conf file of stock MIUI from /system/etc.
Preferably from Global Developer ROM, but others are also welcomed. I'm facing GPS issues lately and I'm trying to get a workaround.
Well I am pretty sure that changing the gps.conf won't make much difference (tested it myself and gps still not getting a fix).
So, did you manage to find any other workaround ?
