I'm currently working on a long-term project to get a custom stock ROM (if that makes sense) for the Galaxy Core Prime G360V. My goal is to make it exactly the same as the stock ROM, except minus all the bloat and possibly with root/SuperSU baked in. My first step in this project is complete; I have successfully extracted the root>system folder of the phone. You can download it from the link if you would like to assist me in this project. I'm still relatively a noob, so I will need some help with this. Any tips or assistance would be appreciated. Some info about the ROM I'm using:
Model no: SM-G360V
Android version: 5.1.1
Baseband version: G360VVRU3BOK2
Build number: LMY48B.G360VVRU3BOK2
Heavily inspired by Psilocelium: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-core-prime/how-to/sm-s820l-freshly-built-rom-core-prime-t3516067
Download link (PM me if dead):
https://www.mediafire.com/?cuwxch6xch255kq
UPDATE (5/21/2017): Academics have been really busy lately, but I should have time to finish the ROM this summer. I've upgraded to the Moto G5 Plus but will still be around to help with this device. Thanks for the support, and you all will know when the ROM is ready.
Leave a thanks if this helped anyone. And if you can offer any help to my little project please PM me. Thanks!

Hey[emoji14]
Thanks you for sharing what you are doing. If you want some help, I can help you. If you want th build a custom Rom based on samsung stock rom, you'll need 2 computers with Linux and Windows or a dual boot (Linux to edit system image and windows to use ODIN, but you can also use linux to flash .tar, but for me its really complicated ^^ )

Thank you for this. I unfortunately do not own a G360F. If I did, I'd probably be using the CM13 ROM for it but thanks for your interest in the project.

I meant to say that if I had the F version, I would be using the CM13 ROM for it. You're right, there are no custom Roms whatsoever for this phone (g360v)

Yeah, same with the G360V. After I mod this stock ROM, I'm going to build cm13 or 12.1 for it
OP update, check it out.
Sorry for inactivity.
I recently lost my Core Prime and as a result cannot develop right now. But I plan on doing something a bit more radical.. making a real custom ROM, like Lineage.
If any of you can, I would really appreciate it if you would be willing to grab one of the ROMs for other variants: https://forum.xda-developers.com/ga...m-lineageos-14-1-samsung-galaxy-core-t3586184
Edit the updater-script (with Notepad++) to include "coreprimeltevzw" and flash it with FlashFire. Let me know of the results if you do it. As soon as I find my own I will be trying it myself. Thanks all.

Tested the CM 12 Beta
Looks good and so smooth. Could not test all that much but was fast and effective. Audio and video playback locally were great. I could not get it to root... but I am a newbie with android cmw and rooting.
Big Thanks for all your hard work.
battery increase?
Have you used it long enough to notice a battery life difference?
Looking Good Guys
Just realized I don't have enough posts to post in the dev section. Tested out the December 8th Build. Data works well. WiFi is strong and good range. Install gapps for fun. All worked well. Bench marked it for 21704. Tested local video and audio. Tested steaming multimedia. Worked great., Smooth as pie. As soon as calling is added I will be running this daily. Thanks for all your hard work guys. I was about to give up on this phone and move on to something else. There was allot more hidden potential then I though there was performance wise.

It can't make calls on it right now so I flashed and played around with it for a few hours then have to restore back to my lightwave OS. It's my daily driver right now.
Battery seems ok I did not notice and significant drain while using. I will know more ounce I can run it a few days in a row once calling gets fixed.
As far as I know this is the only current Development on this phone. There is nothing stable yet as far as I know or maybe polished is a better word for it. This just started getting worked on recently I believe @root@ and Unjustified Dev are the current dev's on this project. The Cyanogenmod that is currently being worked on is unified and can be ran on either Metro-PCs or T-mobile. Now I am very new at this but from reading the posts that was my conclusion. I could be wrong. This is all Beta right now, but the rom did seem stable and very very smooth and fast compared to the light-wave and stock roms. Hope this helps. I was actually going to give up on the phone. Thanks to the Dev's for breathing new life into an underachieving phone.
ClockworkMod or TWRP?
First, I want to say thank you to the devs for donating their time and efforts for the good of us poor SGH-T399 users. We still see enormous potential for this wonderful LTE phone to finally enjoy pure Android.
I am using a Odin-installed Shabby Penguin ROM on T-Mobile.
Baseband: T399UVUAMJ4
Kernal: 3.4.39
Build: jdq39.t399uvuamj4
CWM Recovery: 6.0.3.7
Long story short: Do I have to use TWRP to start testing this port, or can I possibly flash with CWM? I am a QA Engineer by trade, so I would love to lend as much effort as possible to the cause!

Thank you sir! I have installed the latest TWRP (via Flashify) and I was able to successfully flash to CM12 Lollipop (12-20141209-UNOFFICIAL-gardalte).
Wifi is working, but no data. Camera works, but images are not saved. So snappy, though!
Do we have a more stable CM11 KitKat build with gapps? I looked at the beginning of the Discussion thread and saw links to github, but I was confused as to where to start. Any help would be appreciated.
This is a base rom for T330NU /T530 for developers to use with the hassle of rebuilding and messing with updater scripts. This is also for people to restore back to the newest firmware without using Odin whilst keeping root. So users who want a custom rom do not use this! It just contains root with stock firmware and zipped to flash in twrp!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Features T330NU:
-Odexed
-Prerooted
-Busy box installed
-Bloat ware included so you can delete if you wish
Features T530:
-odexed
-working bootanimaimation
-NOT rooted!
-Lollipop edition
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bugs:
-No startup bootanimation. Unsure why as many roms I built had none of these issues. Could use some help in this
-First boot takes 5ish minutes. Not really a bug but a feature!
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Future Developers:
To use this as your base, simply give me credit is all I ask. To modify this rom as your own, you can add tweaks to this. Like, replace the kernel... add apks... battery and performance tweaks and the list can go on. Simply use Google for help or make q and a as I won't help here because I'm not a modder, only a themer and bootanimator. I can only help on basic stuff.

I will take a look thanks. I am aware of him being inactive (probably has life issues) but that's fine as the rom he made was really good. This is an updated ANK1 base so when ever I start making a custom one, it will be updated to latest build from Samsung (ANK1). I'm not an expert dev so yeah. I will probably add some custom themes if I can remember the stuff for kitkat. When ever you guys get lollipop, I can try to make a black theme if samsung didn't change anything to much. I don't remember posting in his thread... but that's besides the point. Thanks for the info for the bootanimation.

I'm no where near close to being a n00b..
At this point I am learning a whole lot just by listening to the local chatter and reading, or trying to understand the code..
I feel if I see it enough, it will start to make sense.. I just wish I knew where to start, so I could build on that..
Oh there isn't much difference between the ANCA Base and the ANK1.. Just a few security tweaks..
BTW do you have the Stock ANK1 ROM, oh never mind.. I do have it.. lol
The coding part is for CM/building asop roms to your device. 20+GB of source code along with knowing blobs, commits, git, the list can go on. So yeah I cant even understand any of that ?. Building custom roms for touchwiz just requires knowledge of file structure, and what they do and also the mods you want to add... probably more I forget. Heck even changing apks, debloating is a big improvement for some.
I'll try and rebuild again using something else.

Added Base for T530 (Lollipop). Make sure users have odined the latest firmware in which lollipop Touchwiz requires an LP boot loader. Other than that, boot animation and everything is fixed. I'd suggest you to not flash any of these as they aren't custom ROMs. These were things I extracted and created a flashable zip in twrp so devs can add some tweaks or anysort. Don't even bother flashing T530 as your device IS T330NU.

Hi everybody
I have a port of FreedomOS ready for OnePlus2, i'm currently un testing phase so i need tester.
unfortunately I do not have any oneplus 2.
Here it is the prerequisites for being a tester:
You need some knowledges in rom flashing (no really), in git and simple commands of your system.
We use Slack.
How?
Just post a message or PM with with your email address and i will send you an invitation.
And specify you came for the OnePlus 2.
What is FreedomOS?
FreedomOS allows you to debloat your ROM smartly.
Everything is customisable, you can install the most minimalistic rom, like a fully modded rom.
So basically, it install the untouched stock rom and install and remove all the functionality you have selected in the aroma.
XDA Review : http://www.xda-developers.com/freedomos-review-on-the-oneplus-3/
OnePlus 3 thread : http://forum.xda-developers.com/oneplus-3/development/rom-freedomos-1-0-t3409348
I am interested.
I don't understand, you mentioned you have port of FreedomOS ready for OnePlus 2. I am currently using OnePlus 2 and will be glad to test out the ROM for you, but I don't understand about being a tester, why would I need Linux or macOS for testing the ROM if you already have the port available.

Worked flawlessly. Flashed with TWRP and rebooted and system loaded up fine. There was a few minor lags as it booted into the system past the MetroPCS logo but that was probably due to the changes made by the zip but after that the system was more fluid than it previously was even after having soo many apps installed. Great work. This is one step closer to completing a custom rom like CM13 or Lineage OS. Good luck with more development.

At the moment I am not working on this, since I am in school projects, but once I finish with it I will continue with this, both the kernel and the development of rom, the sourves are in my github of the kernel, if they want to modify it or Add improvements

Just curious, what version of Lineage OS were you building?
EDIT: I am running the kernel on the T-Mobile K330 variant with no issues. Good work :good:

I know you didn't ask me but if it helps, I'm working on CM-14.1
All i need is to "set the variables manually" but so far no luck in my research and also no one helps me with my questions. I also posted a post on the thread of k7 questions and such but so far no luck.

Oh
Nice!
UPDATE:
I was able to contact him and got an answer
He stated that he did not have an Xperia x to test this ROM
But told that I could test and send feedback if it works or not.
Maybe you can write a PM asking if you can test too! (Anyone who reads this can ask!)
This whole thing feels weird.
On first flash, recovery says the ROM was created by jhenrique09, who is an official maintainer of PE. But after searching both jhenrique09 and PE's official Github, there's no sign of suzu on the list. I'm assuming this is a port. This brings us to another problem.
A quick look at the file name reveals this ROM is based on 4.4 kernel. As far as I know, there is no Pie ROM out there that is using 4.4 kernel (Chippa_a's LOS uses 3.10, Omni and Treble uses 4.9). The closest thing I could think of is Omni 8, but why port a Pie ROM using an Oreo base?
Lastly, who would make a ROM for a phone they don't have?

IT seemed kindof fishy to me too but....well....it kind of boots
We could try an android 8.1 OEM file and see if it boots

it will not boot with android 8.1 an 9 oem..you just got infinity restart
I think oem already include in this rom,you can check oem file after flash the rom in /root/oem using twrp file manager
Someone needs to take some logs without patches of any sort
On the 4.4 kernel Version
