I recently came to possess a strange little android phone that I can find next to nothing about on the internet. It is a Duxiu LM S6. It was in an Asian language but I was able to do a factory reset in recovery mode, and then change the language to English. However, it has its own proprietary app store that is NOT in English, and there are still some things in the OS in the original language. I would like to let my kids use this phone for games and music, but I fear that to do that I need to load a custom ROM or something so that I can have access to the google play store. Does anyone know anything about these phones and where I might find some resources to help me?

Hello All,
I just recently purchased a new Lenovo A808t smartphone, and boy is she a beauty...only problem is I can't get her to communicate with me in English. Well, kinda. I was able to change the android language output, so every basic function on the phone is in English, however, all the apps, and more complicated functions seem to be in chinese with no apparent way to change it. Kinda just wanting to get it back to basic android operating system with a google play store and then I can restock it with everything I want from there. Any ideas about how I can go about doing that? I'm a noob rooter, I've only done it once, and I'm a little worried about doing it with this new phone since I haven't seen anything out there on the interweb about rooting said phone. I'm open to ideas though. Oh, and in case it's important, the android system being run is 4.4.2. Thanks!
Collin
Hi,
I recently bought an android phone from overseas (China) and when I was trying to set it up I noticed that there are no Google Play services meaning there is no Play Store, Music etc, I can't sync my contacts or emails and do a lot of the stuff associated with Google.
The Phone is an HTC Desire 5088 (I think its the Chinese version of the Desire 510) running Android 4.1.2. I really just want to install all the Google services so that the phone runs like a regular android phone.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Also I know this may be the wrong place to post this but would anyone be able to point me in the right direction as to how to root the device? I have tried looking everywhere but can not find anything.
Thank you.
Maybe this is due to ban on google in china.
Solution could be to root the device and flash gapps package.
Even better would be to find a chinese forum for your device and see how those guys do it.
Use google translate of course.
I have Canadian s3 and i need the phone in Spanish. All including system menus.
i 've tried language enabler app and it didn't change system menus. Please somebody help me.

If it's not under the normal language settings, I'd contact your phone operator/the place where you bought it. Given that it's Spanish you shouldn't be the only one with this problem.
EDIT: actually, I just googled a bit and apparently the really ship it without Spanish? If that really is the case and you absolutely need the phone in Spanish you might need to root it and use another rom (phone-software). Check the S3 forums on xda, ask around there what other people did to solve the issue.
Thanks
Thanks. Yeah. It sucks that most Samsung phones in Canada only have 3/4 language choices.
Inglish, French and Korean. Question......if i change the room, can i use stock rooms from other carriers that are similar models as my phone?
Hello fellow Android users
I would like to use the Google Assistant with it's commands and cool features on my Nexus 5X, but the problem is that you need a) nougat & b) either English or German system-wide language/locale. But I don't want to change my whole phone to English, I woul like to keep it in my native language (Czech). It wouldnt be a problem with Marshmellow because there you could change the language/locale on a per-app basis using an Xposed module AppSettings. So my question is, does anybody know about a way to do it in this situation? To change the language just for the Google app so that it thinks my phone is in English and it allows me to use Google Assistant?
btw. I know I have to change the build.prop and stuffs I actually got Assistant working if I change the whole phone to English, so that's not a problem for me.
Thanks for any help.
Apologies if this has been posted elsewhere but I couldn't find anything unfortunately. I was recently gifted a K50G (AMG Edition) which seems to be a nice upgrade from a Mi9T, however I've noticed despite changing the system language to English that certain bloatware apps from Xiaomi such as the main music app, browser etc are all in CHN language.
I'm aware that this is a Chinese phone rather than a global one so certain features maybe limited but I'm just wondering if there was a solution for this, or if any ROMs would be needed?
